Stats: Str and Dex 30 to 40 (Higher is better) Int and Faith 20 to 30(higher will be beneficial) rest is your choice
Talismans: Godfrey's Icon, Shard of Alexander, Ritual Sword Talisman, Smithing Talisman
Buffs: Golden vow, Flame grant me strenght, Howl of Shabriri (with aged one's exultation) can be a choice over flame grant me strenght.
Physick: Greenburst Crystal Tear (for stamina recovery), Rotten Winged Insignia (raises attack power with successive hits R2 charged attack can benefit from it)

Build suitable for this hammer:
Smithscript Greathammer is mainly a Strenght and Dex weapon but by default comes with Endure Ash of war and has scaling in Intelligence and faith as well but the ash of war is changeable and hence different affinities can be applied to change the scaling of the weapon so after str and dex scaling will depend what ash of war and affinity you have applied and can go from int faith to arcane as well.
