Yes in the least they should pay for your carpet to be cleaned and should pay if they damaged or broke a lamp and not sure about the scuffs on the walls you may need to get in touch with your apartment manager and see if they have leftover cans of that paint from your unit and maintenance can come in and touch it up for you!! Please file a claim with the moving company. Take pictures of everything that got damaged. If you paid with a credit card dispute the charge. No you aren’t the drama. You need what you need for your home. Maybe do a portable in your filming room and window units in the other spaces.

I hunted for a house to buy for A YEAR when I was 28 and pregnant with my son until I found what I wanted. I'm 64 now, still in that house, still love it. Take your time, find what you love, it's so worth it.
Hey lady, check underneath the sink to see if the water valve is turned on and that water is flowing through the line that connects the disposal and the dishwasher. If that doesn't work, they need to come take it apart because food may be clogging the water line. I hope they do right by you and fix the issue. Hang in there Sis!

@MissJemima get you a stand alone window a/c. I ordered mine from Walmart. It will cool off the upstairs and when you are going to film hauls close the door so that room gets cool and turn it down. They make way less noise than a fan. Good luck to you.

Unfortunately luxury apartment complexes may be more responsive cand responsible than house rentals. Yes buy your own if you feel you will stay in an area. I'm thinking you may need an island in the kitchen behind the sink area. They make nice ones on wheels you can take when you move. I hope the home issues resolve quickly. Praying for continued healing for your dad.
Yeah,I don't think you should stay because if it starts out with issues it's going to continue throughout the duration of your stay. I went through the same thing for 3 years with no AC in the summer until I just got fed up and decided not to renew my lease.
Praying for peace, balance, and joy for you hun. I know you didn’t ask for any opinions but hopefully you read this and it helps…make the space you’re in as comfortable and pleasing as you can. Even if you’re planning to invest in your home soon, like you said you have no idea how long it will take. So make this space what you need it to be, our homes should be our sanctuary. Do what you need to do. Painting, pax systems all of that is transferable or changeable, do whatever it takes to feel the warm and fuzzies inside. This is mandatory. ❤❤

I’m praying for you and your family Jemima. I’m sorry you’re going through so much all at once. Glad you have been able to unpack and settle in. I live in the DMV and work in the housing field. I’m not sure which area or county that you are in but your best bet is to call Landlord and Tenant Affairs to get assistance with the property managers to address all the issues in the house. They are required to make sure all repairs are made adequately or they will be fined . As a tenant who has signed a lease with a landlord, there are expectations in the contract that they must fulfill. You are absolutely right to be concerned about all of the issues in the house, I wish you the best Peace and blessings❤️

SUGGESTION: Purchase a portable AC unit or window AC unit....those are reasonable in price now a days...And will quieter that a fan.... You can also ask the owners if they will put in a mini-split in that upstairs room, they can be mounted to the wall.

I suggest doing research on the tax site for the address, get the owner's name and look up their contact info, if it gets crazier. I own some houses, and I always supply the tenants with an email address to contact me if needed. Hardly ever get contacted but that avenue is there

Girl....get some lawn bags with draw strings group up hanging clothes and then tie the draw string around the top of the coat hangers. Your clothes can remain hung on the rack and will be ready to grab and go.
Look into a mini split AC that goes on the wall. They are what other countries use.
Take videos of everything that does not work. The management companies job is to fix the issues for tenant.
As someone who is a landlord of a house, my tenant constantly brings up issues because there is always something going on with a house.
I don’t have a management company because if I can’t handle the problem I will pay a handyman to do it.
