FFVII alternate disc 2 FMV; ripped edition

This is the alternate version of the disc 2 fmv 'Escape from the Northern Crater' (called "BIGLIGHT" in the game's files), seen only in the first Japanese release of FFVII.
It lacks the emergence of the Weapons and Tifa being knocked unconscious.
The audio is also different, and if you are playing this game Sephiroth's theme "Those Chosen By The Planet" will be playing during this scene. Since this is the ripped version Sephiroth's theme is not included.
After this scene the game immediately jumps to Tifa waking up in Junon, which means there is no scene of Tifa running after Cloud in the dark or finding him at the Sector 7 Slums train station.

At the end you can actually hear moans which sound like monsters awakening. It is vague; though. Cool scene regardless and very well done. With Tifa looking on and the dark sounds throughout it's actually spooky.

Ultima Weapon, Sapphire Weapon and Diamond Weapon are included in the original Japanese release. Ruby- and Emerald Weapon were added for the overseas release and FFVII:International.

I know that, but it's interesting how there are NO weapons in this version of the cutscene. The normal cutscene is used for all versions (contains no Ruby and Emerald Weapon)

Graylord88 Actually Ruby and Emerald appear in the cutscene we are familiar with. They are only seen for a couple of frames though.
But yes it is interesting that no Weapons appear in the FMV of the original release. Don't know if this is because that's how the scene was always written or if they simply ran out of time.

it was assumed originally that Diamond and Sapphire are laying dormant under the ocean, they still appear in the story
