I love that Gospel music has spanned so many genres. I used to listen to symphonic power metal all the time before I became a Christian. After I became a Christian I did not like the message most bands had anymore. I am so glad I have found this. Praise to Jesus, king of the world 👑

Edguy specifically is one that jumps out at me who’s lyrics I never paid much attention to before becoming a Christian and now I’m like 😳 Theocracy and Narnia are two of my favorites these days on the prog/power front and of course good ol Stryper who’s latest 4 or 5 albums are all incredible and I feel tops their classics.

Fire can destroy, but it can also guide you through the night (exodus). When people comment that extol is dark and evil, I always find it interesting because all of their songs are Christian. “We are the members of, the body of the Son. We are the church of Christ!” - A structure of souls. It seems mostly to be a failure to allow for a paradigm shift. All rock music was considered evil and now that’s what most worship music is. It’s just new to them and so they assume it’s evil. Reminds me of waterboy “football is the devil”.

You may have once been in the 'religion' of Christianity and referred to yourself as one, but you obviously did not have a relationship with Jesus Christ. This song gives me great revelation vibes. So glorious, yet mysterious. Matt managed to express God in words I could never imagine. God seems hard to describe to me, but Matt really carved out a godly essence here. I can feel how much he was filled with the Holy Spirit while writing this masterpiece.
this song showed up in my recommended list on Spotify and I had no idea what the lyrics were about, I just really liked how it sounded. Then about the third time I heard it I thought, wait a minute this is religious!, and then I found a lyric video. Definitely my favorite Christian song and the fact that it's eleven minutes long yet feels like three, I think, is a statement to God's Infinity. I have had this playing in my ears for three days straight at work. I wish it was subconscious thing. I want to listen to this forever. Especially starting at 5:40. Read Matthew Chapter 24 in the Bible, it speaks alot of the stuff Christ had predicted and it is starting to match super well with the times were living in. Christ is calling, He is awaiting you. I had a time where I was really not where I should be and I'd heard the Lord's voice in my bedroom speak to me one night, it said "Focus Robert, Get people to Focus, People are losing Focus"...I'd laid and sat there for some good time till it came to me. Focus On Christ's Ultimate Sacrifice. He is calling us to repent and believe.

It's evident throughout Scripture because each Person (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) is clearly identified with different roles, among other things. When you really analyze the theology of Christianity, the concept of God as described in the Bible really isn't coherent without a Trinity.
It's a great song. I love this band, but yeah, the singer is very self-absorbed. Don't get me wrong , he is a great musician and composer, and he knows it and acts superior to others.
