No offense intended but you need to listen to more metal my friend :) There are SOOOOO many bands that have written songs as long as this one and a great many far longer. Progressive metal songs range around 22 minutes sometimes. Heck, Theocracy has a 22 minute one in Mirror of Souls on the album of the same name. If you want a few tips I can direct you towards Dream Theater, Tool, and Ayreon. A lot of their albums are concept albums with an overarching story that carries through though. Songs: Dream Theater - Ministry of Lost Souls Tool - Lateralus Ayreon - The Day that the World Breaks Down Enjoy!
