From my understanding he was bad with contributing and not showing up to rehearsal. He also was involved with drugs which Haley was against and didn't represent what Paramore was trying to be. So essentially he was kicked out the second time he was apart of the band. (I'm not sure what his the reasons were the first time).
Reality is different now as he was in a legal battle against the band and Hayley. He is gone for good this time. Too bad because he was a great bassist player, now he is focusing on his family.

Did a Paramore marathon in celebration of the release of Hard Times and finally it brought me here. All I can say is I am the kind of fan who thinks that there's no "old" and "new Paramore, it's just PARAMORE. They evolved, they experimented, and it was (and still is) successful. I LOVE PARAMORE FOREVER!
You know what would be badass? If they got back with Josh and Jeremy and did a 'All we know' reunion tour, they'd never agree to it but man if they did I'd pay double whatever they're charging now just to see it.
Im glad that I just know Paramore last year, AL era (i mean, i only know When it rains, BBBB and The Only Exception back in my elementary days and some of the mainstream ones and coz im not into bands before), because after listening to the AL album and watching some of their interviews, I immediately listened to their old albums and fell in love with it. And that means, I love all of their songs! Paramore is very versatile, they can pull off almost all genres itd be punk rock emo pop country funky electro or whatever. The reasons why I fell inlove with Paramore is because of their PASSION IN MUSIC (music + lyrics that is). And because they value their friendship. And because they can forgive.

Just because the self titled album has a more commercial sound doesn't mean it lacks emotion. Part Two and Future are two of the most emotional and effective songs I've ever heard.
I miss those years when I would be so obsessed with this band, it felt like I could relate to their songs and them being also young and so alive, they had brought hope to my life. Now it makes me kind of sad to think that as I grew up to their music I've become miserable and now I relate to their new songs like fake happy, working for a casino, not having many friends to hang out, failing in relationships. You realize that life is not what you might have expected not even for the people who you admire.

I love Paramore songs.
They were all so young here aww :) I love their music. I think they all have really proven themselves with the new album, especially hayley. I'm amazed at how well she hits the notes. She did great before but even better now! I hope this band never stops making music, they are awesome!!
