    for the people who want to remove the bar at the bottom when in full screen, add "&rm=minimal" to the end of your url.

      A slight clarification for anyone wondering...
      I think this was a great suggestion but I couldnt get it to work at the end of my URL. But if you use this after the part in your code that says &delayms=(YOUR AMMOUNT OF MS) example: &delayms=3000&rm=minimal then I got it to work. :)

    hi, can you make a video where you can display live date and time for a bulletin board in corporate?

  • @crimsonretriever
    @crimsonretriever 7 месяцев назад +1

    This is incredible! Brilliant and concise video that's saved me a lot of time and money. One question - if we removed the slide display time inside the html file, presumably setting up transition times inside Google Slides would over ride that? Would be good to have absolute control from the Google end and set potentially individual slide display times where necessary (ie a more tet heavy slide would last longer than a simple image slide). Thanks again! 🙂

      @techtuesdaytutorials  6 месяцев назад +1

      I think the timing becomes hard coded into the embed code when you specify it, so if you change it in the Google Slides, you will need to overwrite the Embed code in the HTML.

      @@techtuesdaytutorials thanks for your reply and it seems that's correct. which is great. I have one other question. i don't know if there's anything in the code, but my slideshows seem to break if I place any more than 9 slides in there.
      With 9, no problem - it loops back to the beginning with the transition I set inside Google Slides. However anymore than 9 and the 10th slide breaks the sequence and the slideshow does a hard reset and loses the transition on the final slide.
      I don't know why 9 slides, Less is fine also. But once i go over tha magic number, it breaks and ruins the nice transition looping back to the beginining of the set

    This looks really interesting, but is there any way to run this on something small and cheap such as an Amazon Firestick TV or a Raspberry Pi 4?

    Thank you for this. I've been looking for a simple solution like this for a couple years. Do you know if it's possible to get youtube videos to auto play on the displays? I've added a couple to my slides and selected "Play(automatically)" but it's not working.

    If there are video in Google slide, any option to hide the play button and loading screen that are visible for a short amount of time at the beginning of the video?

    I have tried this but when I try to open the HTML file on the chromebox attached to the display, it is pointing to the C: of the desktop computer I edited it on and opens it as the code in a Google Doc rather than the html webpage. Is there a step I am missing?

    • @techtuesdaytutorials
      @techtuesdaytutorials  5 месяцев назад

      Sounds like maybe you don't have Chrome installed? Or maybe the file wasn't saved as an HTML properly. HTML should open in a browser, not be treated as plain text.

    great tutorial! Is there any way to make this private so it's not published public on the web?

    • @techtuesdaytutorials
      @techtuesdaytutorials  Год назад +1

      Afraid not, but the "published" aspect doesn't advertise it. Unless you know the actual URL, you won't stumble on it

    Does this work on Mac? I have saved a .html and when opened it just directs to a browser with the same code as my text document.

    I think I may have found a way to run Google Slides on a Firestick using Kodi. But just realised that the setup assumes a Windows machine with Notepad. Anyone know how to convert the instructions to work with MacOS Ventura? I tried using TextEdit on the Mac but there's no option to 'Share/Publish to the web.

      No, you just link a Google Slideshow. Use a tablet or chromebook. Unless your Tv can open HTML files...

      I figured I´d just provide a solution to the issue if anyone else were wondering..
      I used word for this, I save the file as .txt but specify in the filename .html
      This prompts word to ask if I want the file in txt or both. Select Both
      You will now get a popup window where you can select "MAC OS, MS-DOS or OTHER" I select other and then chose "Windows Latin" from the menu. I suspect you can also save the file as MS-DOS but this was my prefered method. Press OK and now just rename the file and make sure the filename ends in .html and press enter the file should change to a black icon and should now work. (You may want to backup your file as you cannot easily edit it further once it goes black)

      If you want the video to loop, then you really don't need to do this at all, just play the video directly, unless there's something I'm missing. (Si quieres que el video se repita, entonces realmente no necesitas hacer esto en absoluto, solo reproduce el video directamente, a menos que haya algo que me esté perdiendo.)
