As a believer, I too was burdened under the heavy yoke of the Law / Calvinism, and went through a very "dark" 10 year period in my life where I questioned my faith and salvation continually. It wasn't until I finally understood Free Grace that I was finally freed from my bondage. There's a reason Jesus says his Yoke is light and easy- all we have to do is believe on Him.

I read the words of a Calvinist wife who was considering suicide, because she just couldn't stand living not knowing if she was elect or not. She reasoned that if she killed her self and she was one of the elect, she would still be saved as it was god who made her do it. And if she wasn't elect, she would have escaped this life worrying about it and it wouldn't make any difference anyway. That is why I hate Calvinism with all my being and strength to destroy it. It Cripples and destroys everything it contacts!

I'm just 5 month born again and God blessed me so much with this channel!! I study The Bible myself almost every day, but as a new believer some things are hard to understand. I feel so much freedom and joy because of your teaching!! Word of God gave me assurance of my salvation and now I'm so excited to grow and share THE TRUE GOSPEL OF GRACE with other people. Today I also saw 3 videos of yours studying Daniel. Verse by verse preaching is new to me, because my church doesn't do that. It was so amazing and I can't wait for Daniel 9-12!!
Being grounded in the sound doctrine is freeing and amazing and it aligns what Lord Jesus tells about peace and joy in him 😊😊😊 GOD BLESS THIS MINISTRY!!!

THE LAUNDRY HAD TO WAIT 😂😂
Soon as I saw this pop up on my RUclips feed, I watched it…….
That was a great response to Ryan.
I prayed for him and in a few ways I can relate to his personal struggle.
I am not a Calvinist but have noticed that its influence has infected many churches in how they teach salvation.
I left a Baptist church 3 years ago because Calvinism started to seep in. They even switched to the ESV from the KJV.
The church I started attending in September of 2023 seemed very biblical and I was considering becoming a member but after reading its bylaws , I had to walk away. They vehemently denied the teachings of Calvinism and even declared they weren’t. But in the bylaws they mentioned needing to persevere, that a person is a “ counterfeit “ and not a true Christian if they don’t exhibit works and such type of statements.
I got clarification from the pastor so I understood the bylaws and wasn’t making assumptions but his explanations still leaned towards Calvinist ideologies.
He has yet to follow up in our conversation after I sent an email back thanking him for taking time to clarify but that I was declining membership.
One thing I hope Ryan understands is that many churches that aren’t Calvinist are teaching at least some form of TULIP, whether in some areas or just a few.
This has caused myself great stress and concern not just in trying to find a home church but to also at times question my own salvation and cause doubts that can get pretty overwhelming.
If I could throw this out there, I think teachings on ways Calvinism has infiltrated many churches that claim they teach salvation by grace doctrine would be very eye opening and helpful.
Many don’t even know they are receiving Calvinist influenced ideologies because it’s coated in the proverbial… “ well, yes , salvation is by faith alone and grace alone in Christ alone “.
Ryan, you are not alone and reading scripture and getting correct contextual biblical teaching is key to getting free from the bondage Calvinism and it’s tentacles can place a person under.
Bibleline , Yankee Arnold , Tom Cucuzza, and a man I recently discovered named Charlie Bing who I first saw on a RUclips channel called C4C Apologetics all have been so helpful to me personally. Each of these have many sermons on RUclips that you may find helpful to you as well.

Trust me our Father chastened Mr for 10 years where as I could barely endure it. I was bed ridden and torn down where I could not move becoming paralyzed and drooling. I was nebedcanezzar. Phew! Brother let us get it now and not despise His chastening. Read Hebrews chapter 12. Chastening seems greivace in the present but in due time if we endure and lift up our heads and walk close Hr will take His hand off of you as He did me. I have to make a conscious effort to believe I'm saved only by Jesus' perfect work. All my life Jesus has been a torment to me because I saw him as the cold, heartless dictator that so many people teach. We were told, "if anyone tries to tell you differently, they're lying! Don't let them deceive you!". I still struggle with that part. There's a constant question in my mind of who is right. I can't even read the bible without interpreting it with that negative twist.
I definitely relate with people who wonder if they're really believers or not. I mean, James said a man tossed back and forth will receive nothing from God. That's exactly what I feel that I am, and it's horrifying!! I've had panic attacks for yrs because of calvanistic teaching. When I tell church people that, they tell me I need to be sure I'm saved because God doesn't give us a spirit of fear! There's literally no winning. It is so exhausting and scary

    • @BibleLine
      @BibleLine  11 месяцев назад +6

Agh! Tony my heart aches for you. If I may offer a little bit to chew on….
      1) Salvation is a free gift to all
      - Romans 5, 6:23 and Eph. 2:8 reference salvation specifically as a gift. Gifts are not earned, but they are received. The giver is the purchaser. In our case, Jesus paid our price by his DBR via the crosswork. All we have to is receive him (ie: believe He did it for you). Romans 3:24 also says we are “justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”
      - 1 John 2:2 and John 3:16 make clear case that Jesus died for ALL people and ALL sin.
      2) You can’t earn it, so you can’t lose it.
      - It’s not of works. The gift is given to you, and you are declared righteous for EVER. When God looks at you (if you’ve believed - literally do you believe the stated fact “Christ died for your sin, was buried and is risen again”) He sees the righteousness of His Son.
      - “He that hath the Son hath life”
The only reason you are condemned is if you NEVER believed at ANY point in time (John 3:18, 5:24).
      3) We can KNOW we have eternal life. The security is in the Word of God. Our assurance fades due to our sinfulness, but the security of our salvation is set in stone.
      - We KNOW by believing in Him 1 John 5:13
      - We are SEALED until we get to heaven Eph 1:12-14, 4:30
      - We are His CHILD by faith Gal. 3:26, John 1:12, Eph. 1:5-6
We will NEVER see condemnation John 3:15-18, 5:24, Romans 8:28-39
      I pray this helps.
      - Trent

@@BibleLinethank you so much. I do believe wholeheartedly that Jesus died for the sins of the world. And I know beyond a shadow of doubt that I can't be good enough to make it on my own.
The insidious part is they make you wonder if you're included or not. And then they turn right around and ask, "if you died tonight do you know for a fact that you would go to heaven?" And honestly, by their standards, I didn't.
I have learned a lot through people like you guys. I am saved and I do believe. it's just a struggle keeping those old voices at bay.
One question that I can't shake is why doesn't Jesus deliver me from this stronghold? Where's the peace we're supposed to supernaturally have? Church people can send me into panic attacks with those questions. It's really hard for me to trust most church people anymore

    • @BibleLine
      @BibleLine  11 месяцев назад +4

Yes, that’s understandable. I can understand the struggle of desiring deliverance from it. It may very well just take time. Nonetheless, our foundation always holds sure; He is the Rock, our Deliverer, and our Strong Tower.
Let the scripture be your help and your guide because our minds are corrupted by sin… meaning we doubt, we lack assurance, and we often feel despair. Nonetheless, the more you study and apply God’s word; that is where doubts flee and assurance is found.
Even if our assurance were to utterly fade, God will never let our eternal security fade. You believed in Him, so I confidently state that you HAVE RECEIVED eternal life.

thank you for speaking out against Calvinism. I've been a Christian for over 40 years and when i learnt about Calvinism just over a decade ago, I was horrified. What a disgusting, putrid, evil doctrine it is. I saw people on social media leaving the New Age Movement and the blab it and grab it prosperity churches, and waiting in the wings for their prey, were the Calvinists. I was shocked that anyone could actually believe this and profess to be Christians. It isn't any wonder that they are amongst the most arrogant, self-righteous people on the face of the Earth. After- all, they are God's chosen, special vessels and everyone else is going to Hell. The affect it has on Christians can be quite frightening. Trying not to sin, to live a perfect life in fear of losing one's salvation, living a life of condemnation is satanic.

To everybody here, there is no better definition of “repentance” than the entire chapter of Psalm 119… It is example after example of the Psalmist Living by his own set of truths (postmodernism) and then being chastised by God, and then returning to God‘s laws and statutes… The same scenario plays out over and over again throughout this whole chapter. This is the definition of NT Biblical repentance, and it is pretty much a daily, hourly, dare, I say, minutely duty of “renewing our minds”. Sin-suffer-repent-repeat. No way in the world is the main definition of repentance to change your mind about who Christ is.

Amen Brother. Even when we do good, evil is present with us. First John 1:8. If we say we have no sin, we are DECEIVED, and the TRUTH is not in us. Romans 3:23. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:9-10. There is none righteous, no not one.
The good news. Romans 4:6-8. Just as David describeth the blessedness of the man to whom the Lord IMPUTETH righteousness APART FROM WORKS. Blessed is the man whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not IMPUTE sin. Colossians 2:13. He has forgiven us ALL trespasses.
Romans 3:26-28. For He is the JUST and the JUSTIFIER of them that BELIEVE in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? By the law of works? Nay, but by the law of FAITH. Therefore, we conclude a man is JUSTIFIED by FAITH apart from the deeds of the Law.
Second Corinthians 9:15. Thanks be to God for His UNSPEAKABLE GIFT, ETERNAL LIFE. No one can earn it. First John 5:13. These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. Gods word, and God cannot lie. John 6:47.
John 3:16. Jesus said it, we believe it, and that settles it. See all you WHOSOEVERS in heaven.

Predestination is a foundational doctrine in the Bible.
    ANSWER
Romans 8:29-30 tells us, “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.” Ephesians 1:5 and 11 declare, “He predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will…In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.” Many people have a strong hostility to the doctrine of predestination. However, predestination is a biblical doctrine. The key is understanding what predestination means, biblically.
The words translated “predestined” in the Scriptures referenced above are from the Greek word proorizo, which carries the meaning of “determining beforehand,” “ordaining,” “deciding ahead of time.” So, predestination is God determining certain things to occur ahead of time. What did God determine ahead of time? According to Romans 8:29-30, God predetermined that certain individuals would be conformed to the likeness of His Son, be called, justified, and glorified. Numerous scriptures refer to believers in Christ being chosen (Matthew 24:22, 31; Mark 13:20, 27; Romans 8:33, 9:11, 11:5-7, 28; Ephesians 1:11; Colossians 3:12; 1 Thessalonians 1:4; 1 Timothy 5:21; 2 Timothy 2:10; Titus 1:1; 1 Peter 1:1-2, 2:9; 2 Peter 1:10). Predestination is the biblical doctrine that God in His sovereignty chooses certain individuals to be saved.
Predestination is an explicitly biblical doctrine. Yet the determination of predestination is not disconnected from the rest of God’s unchanging character (Malachi 3:6). It is connected to His foreknowledge (Romans 8:29, 11:2), His love (Ephesians 1:4-5), and His plan and pleasure (Ephesians 1:5). God’s desire is that all would be saved and come to repentance (1 Timothy 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9). Predestination is personal and relational, not capricious.
The most common objection to the doctrine of predestination is that it is unfair. Why would God choose certain individuals and not others? We must remember that no one deserves to be saved. We have all sinned (Romans 3:23) and are all worthy of eternal punishment (Romans 6:23). As a result, God would be perfectly just in allowing all of us to spend eternity in hell. However, God chooses to save some of us. He is not being unfair to those who are not chosen, because they are receiving what they deserve. God’s choosing to be gracious to some is not unfair to the others. No one deserves anything from God; therefore, no one can object if he does not receive anything from God. An illustration would be a man randomly handing out money to five people in a crowd of twenty. Would the fifteen people who did not receive money be upset? Probably so. Do they have a right to be upset? No, they do not. Why? Because the man did not owe anyone money. He simply decided to be gracious to some.
If God is choosing who is saved, doesn’t that undermine our free will to choose and believe in Christ? The Bible says that we have the choice-all who believe in Jesus Christ will be saved (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10). The Bible never describes God rejecting anyone who believes in Him or turning away anyone who is seeking Him (Deuteronomy 4:29). The truths of God’s sovereign predestination and also man’s responsibility are not mutually exclusive. Somehow, in the mystery of God, predestination works hand-in-hand with a person being drawn by God (John 6:44) and believing unto salvation (Romans 1:16). God predestines who will be saved, and we must choose Christ in order to be saved. Both facts are equally true. Romans 11:33 proclaims, “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!”

If Calvinism is true you can never be ENTIRELY sure of your salvation. Some Calvinists believe that God has predestined absolutely everything that we do. Someone asked an American Calvinist pastor if a rape of a child has been predestined by God to happen. The pastor answered: "Yes, otherwise it would be a purposeless evil." Why can it not be a purposeless evil ? If I go and strangle my neighbor tomorrow how can God hold me accountable for that crime if it is He who forced me to commit the crime ?

Our Lord God from all eternity decrees some to election and thus positively intervenes in their lives to work regeneration and faith by a monergistic work of grace.

      Easy Believism: 1 John 5:10-13.
It’s interesting that your choosing depends on how well you demonstrate the “Lordship” of God in your life.
Of course predestination and choosing are scriptural. The question is TO WHAT? Chosen to eternal life/death or chosen to a task.
Abraham was chosen to be a father of many nations. Moses was chosen to lead Israel. Noah was chosen to built the ark. David was chosen to be a king.
All those men had the free will to believe in the coming Messiah. Paul even had a choice. His choosing was not to life, but it was to appear before kings, magistrates and to proclaim the gospel to the Gentiles.
      Faith in Christ = salvation.
Choosing, and works = discipleship and service.
You’ll deny this considering you probably define repent as more than a mere change of mind, you must have Jesus Lord of every area, and God’s sovereignty is over valued.

You just don't understand Calvinism! Let this bedtime story teach in an accurate way, what our glorious doctrines from the great Reformers has blessed us with.
Little Johnny, God has predestined the minority of people to be saved and go to heaven forever, and He has predestined the majority of people to be eternally damned and burn in the fires of hell. We have no idea, little Johnny, if God has predestined you to be forever damned or forever saved.
We love you, little Johnny, but we accept the fact that God might not love you, and that He may have plans to send you to hell for your future sins. If you do find yourself one day burning in hell because He hasn’t elected to save you, just remember that we will always love you, even if God hates you.
Take comfort knowing that we are not like God.
We will be in heaven forever only because we were unconditionally chosen for salvation before we were born. That would be the only reason that we won’t be in hell with you if you find yourself there. It won’t be because of anything we did.
So also take comfort in knowing that. It may not seem fair, but who are we to judge God?
So again, if you find yourself in hell, remember that we will always love you as we forever worship the God who loved us but who hated you, the God who sent His Son to die for us but not for you.
Please, we ask, don’t let it bother you-if you find yourself in hell-that we love the God who hated you and showed you no mercy. We must accept the fact that God is sovereign, and He does what He pleases.
We teach this to your children and grandchildren! Funny how we see no spiritual progress over the ensuing years of their lives.
They seem to feel more and more like Pinocchio with Calvi-god (Gesepo) pulling their puppet strings. They have no assurance, no joy just fear.
We teach them to sing songs like this, to comfort them, to no avail!
When they sing it ,they are so humbled by it, that it's all that you can do to keep from bursting with pride, which is the glue that keeps them together. Yet I fear they are just turning into mindless Robots.
"Jesus loves me, this I know.
As for you, I don't think so.
Only some to Him belong. We are right and you are wrong.
    Yes, Jesus loves me!
    Yes, Jesus loves me!
    Yes, Jesus loves me!
Aren't you happy and proud that God chose us for heaven and decided not to fry us in Hell like everyone else!
'Eenie Meenie Miney Moe, this one goes to heaven off to hell another one goes!'
But then again, I hope this isn't evanescent grace that I'm walking in and instead I'm actually deceived and one of the reprobates that He created to burn as a candle for His glory in Hell forever."

Why do you assume that a Calvinist caused the crisis in the Ryan’s life? Maybe he was reading one of the passages in scripture that actually contains the word predestination. It is in Ephesians 1, for example. You assume that the root cause of his problem is Calvinism. Wow. Maybe some exegesis of a scripture passage that talks about predestination would be helpful. Don’t get me wrong, there is much good stuff here, but I challenge you to just address the young man without laying his problems at the feet of Calvinism, which Ryan didn’t even mention. Your explanation of predestination doesn’t include any scripture, by the way. And Ephesians 1 does mention the word chosen in addition to predestination. I can understand why there is confusion, but you don’t use scripture to clarify.

That’s fair. I have a Calvinist friend that shares the gospel correctly initially. The problems come when TULIP is taught, predestination, election and the back loaded works nonsense. The teachings do even infect their gospel messages at times. They become inconsistent. We aren’t out to get the men, mind you, but we desire to point out the error in the teachings.
Here is my biggest problem with Calvinism. They claim fruit, proof, works, spirit deeds, or some manifestation of spiritual efforts is REQUIRED after you have believed TO KNOW you are saved. This places works on the back end of the gospel message. I only KNOW I’m saved because of Christ’s DBR via the cross. He paid for all of my sins, and that is how I know I am saved. My works help other men to see my faith (via me being faithFUL), but whether they see my works or not is NOT an indicator if I am saved. I could very well live a sloppy lifestyle. Am I saved? Yes, by faith in Christ. My lifestyle would simply be a terrible shame in every area.

@@BibleLine That is fair. To say that a manifestation of saving faith is required (emphasis ) in the form of works to have assurance of salvation is a very, very difficult doctrine to hold and defend. I won’t die on that hill. I can only go so far as to question the assurance that someone has if their life shows no fruit of the spirit, which I believe is scriptural; however, once you start generalizing you run into exceptions like the thief on the cross.
