I think it’s sad too, but her dad (Gil) is heavily invested in the IBLP and I’m sure after everything with the Duggars the networks don’t want to be associated with that. Its nice they have RUclips channels for us. 😀

@@TravisandKatie1 You have created such a beautiful home. Only idea I could share would be to add a laundry shoot to the basement to help with the lugging downstairs. Just put/hide it in an upstairs closet or something! ❤ may God bless you with many happy and healthy years in this home

Wonderful house. Throw rugs would be great to reduce the echo along with art and such on the walls and some kind of pulley system, like a dumd waiter for your stairs when you do laundry.
Yessss I need all the Bates kids to get RUclips channels I really enjoy watching all kids grown up.

Beautiful house. The couch and recliners in the basement I would move the couch down and put the recliner’s on the other side. It’s neat that you might do something with your cosmetology it would be cool. Love the tour can’t wait till you have it completely finished.

A Murphy bed down in the basement, in open space where Katie said y’all would install shelves/ cabinets. More sleeping space for visitors and it can act as wall decor at the same time.

We're in the process of getting an older house , one story too and so I love getting ideas from beautiful reno's like yous thank you for sharing with us... idea about you recliners... if they would fit in the Music Studio that could make the Studio functional, fun & cozy. It's always nice to have a comfy couch in an in house Studio for those long recording sessions 😊

I LOVE all the can lights. We just put in our first ones in our 1970’s house and it makes SUCH a difference.

Adorable and must be so satisfying to have done so much yourselves and used pre loved items and upcycled them. Suggestions from an interior designer.....your main room TV and fireplace - At most, the centre of the TV screen should be somewhere between 55 inches and 67 inches from the ground & no higher (depending on how big your screen) It seems a good idea at the start because the walls are so high but you will get over it and want to move them lower. You mentioned thinking ahead - the staircase, difficult to manage and dangerous once you are pregnant. Install a laundry chute or a basket pulley system when you are able (pulleys are quite cool) Perhaps you intend to extend or upgrade to a bigger house once you start a family, these are just a few thoughts for the mean time. Super cute house!!

Nice house but I suggest curtains!! You have open windows that allow people to see everything on the upper level. Especially the tv over the fireplace!’
Congratulations on getting your first house. The fun part is feeling the house with memories, so don’t be in a rush with decorating. Bring neutral decorations with an accent color. Move the. Accent color to the adjacent room for a more cohesive feel. Congrats again!
I think y'all did an AMAZING job! I love the black and white. It's minimalistic which I love because it never goes out of style. It's timeless. I would complete the look with some warm elements like an area rug(s), live plants, wood decor or like an antique china cabinet, etc. Also my twin sister and I are artists so of course we both would add a large canvas painting! Again, you guys did wonderful!

I have a glass dining table, too. SO frustrating trying to keep clean, but the fact that it’s glass really opens up the space.

If you are going to have a hair salon, you need to consider putting stairs at back of house leading into basement instead of people going through your house. Let the house be private and personal to you. That other space in basement, make into an area that will be your salon, instead of putting it into something you like and will have to give up down the line. Your basement stairs could go through a garage you could build, that protects customers from outside weather . Just think or plan things out for a garage and salon at same time. If you have it out of your house, when you have children it would be easier. If your working now , you could build your clientele that would follow you to your home salon.
