I thought this was the worst movie ever on my first watch. When I rewatched it, I realized it was a beautiful story that teaches us to be happy with what we have and stay in the present. Once you understand the deeper meaning of the film, you’ll see it has a powerful message.
I mean tbh, the only part of the movie I liked was when Steve was getting to go around seeing what has changed since WW1. Aside from that, the fight with Cheetah was a big step down from the fight with Ares in the previous movie. And tbh every single side battle was relatively weak. Maxwell being a father kinda messed up the ability for him to be evil as a character but more so a dude who was looking to impress the world, and therefore they couldn’t really make him some sort of feared villain by any stretch of the imagination even though he was the main villain. Everything else about the style of the move felt like a tv show and honestly a lot of holes were left open as we never got to find out what happened to Barbara and Maxwell after what they had done.
@@zacharycarroll8063I like that they did more with Maxwell instead of a boring predictable villain like ares was. It’s nice to have a character with actual reasons and trauma then somebody like ares who is just an evil guy.
@@OddpepperL I mean the thing I liked about the development of Ares was the fact that his belief is that the nature of earth is beautiful without humans which is almost the equivalent to Ultron in the MCU. I don’t like Maxwell because his only power was to literally grant wishes and his whole back story in this movie is just him having an abusive dad which while that is awful, doesn’t really do anything to justify why he couldn’t put two brain cells together to realize that him granting wishes was destroying the world. And even more stupider, that everything returned to how it was prior simply because he took back his wish. At least with ares, he had lasting consequences to the world and to Wonder Woman. Hence why the does Wonder Woman is easily the most successful film DC has had since its begun its reboot DC universe. Bottom line was Maxwell was hardly even a villain, he was just some dude who was too stupid to not realize the costs of his own desires, and cheetah was just a woman who was fearful of being normal much like Maxwell so once again, makes both of their characters relatively bland
