Grime artist AJ Tracey on Grenfell Tower fire: 'We've seen no government response'

- AJ Tracey and his brother Mickey, who live close to Grenfell Tower in north Kensington, London, say they have witnessed no help from central or local government in response to the disaster. In an exclusive interview with the Guardian, they tell Iman Amrani the community has pulled together and ‘acted as a family’ for the victims.

A young woman, Amina, said she provided all of UK mainstream media with hers, showing the development of the fire from the start and the problems with the response by those in charge, but no one would air them.

when visiting the remains of the tower itself, which stands as a stark and harrowing death mausoleum, surrounded by thousands of missing people posters left by loved ones desperately trying in false hope to locate the dead and missing, you would understand the anger in the hearts of the people of london. The fault lies in the way the fire was dealt with prior to being extinguished, not the fire itself.
