There's a KEMCO mobile game similar to this called Tavern Story. But Chef RPG looks to have much more features to explore so I'm looking forward to it.

OMG this game shares so many similar traits to this game I am currently playing on the switch right now called 'Epic Chef' by Team 17. That has a more pixel/block/minecraft art style which some may find off-putting at first but once you play the game it is quite addicting. You are also a chef, who comes on an island and has to build a farm to grow ingredients, help with quests, eventually manage your own restaurant, read reviews/feedback, battle in cooking battles and of course, practice your culinary skills. Any game gets so addicting when it combines different elements of task management, business management, hospitality, craft, farming, etc. Also, the narrative and story can be humorous, sarcastic and sometimes dark. I actually cannot WAIT for this game!! I am following into the trap of cooking management games in a life sim and the pixel art style is one true love (stardew valley vibes ^^) and the food looks delicious. This game has so much potential and I cannot wait for it!! You did a wonderful review - so calming, cosy and well detailed. Hehe you have a new subscriber!! >v

While you’re waiting for this game to come out you should try adventure bar story. It’s a really similar premise of collecting ingredients in the wild, discovering recipes and fighting monsters. It’s also an anime style rpg, with multiple characters to collect!!

I just wish the sprites were as well done and detailed as the portraits/everything else. They look so out of place an old compared to the rest of the game.

Animations do seem a little outdated/stilted. Thank you for pointing that out. I will keep this in mind as we follow the game's progress on whether or not the developers will improve on it.
