Thank you.. Just upgraded to the 18-70 today £45... I think I did the right move... The little 18-55 still a good lsmall ight lens... I should really sell that on..
You can switch off screen by turn off Auto Info Display from Setup menu. and I also find turning Info Display Format to Classic Black looks more better on screen
I still use a d40 and a nikon d80.I can afford to get a d5100 or a d7000 but for some reason I love the photos that come out of the d200 which I might pickup after the d80 dies.
don't know if yours is broken but on mine that lever that doesn't do anything on yours turns the camera from live view through the view finder to the live view on the LCD.
Battery grip is plastic and pathetic, and shutter button doesn't work without cable! The amazing thing about 5100 is the compact size, so why make it bulky and add a terrible battery grip!

You should be able to press "OK" to reset the AF point to the center. :)

I loved this 18 70 lens but alas the build quality was poor and it broke.
I had been used to Nikon F lenses.
where is a good place to buy a 17-80mm lens by nikon? something that's reliable.
