- Since Jason Marsden didn't get the chance to do the singing voice of Maximilian Goof he had the opportunity at the 20th Anniversary Reunion at D23 to sing live with Bill Farmer for the first time.
I love the voice actors' reactions to the fans singing. It's like they weren't aware it was a great movie or something.
Well, the only songs that get talked about from the movie are the Powerline ones, so it makes sense.
Because Jason, I think, isn't the original singer.
No he is a tribute singer I wish it was the real original but I think he moved on and went to do other things or maybe retired.
@@michaelhobbs3426 who was?
@@anar8343 Jason who is sing with Bill farmer was not the original singer the first original singer to sing with him was Aaron Lohr.
Me as a kid: Come on Goofy, let Max go to the concert, he's been looking forward to it.
Me as a parent: Come on Max, go to the trip with your dad, he's been looking forward to it.
he hadnt been looking forward to it tho because they both decided on the day??
So both parents and kids are self pricks. LOL. Perfect.
Yeah once Max quit shutting his dad out and actually told him the truth Goofy was down to make his son’s lie to Roxanne a reality.
Yeah, my pendulum swung right the other way as a parent.
Since I was a little kid, I was always on Goofy's side (He was also my favorite Disney character) and my sibling was on Max's side, cause we have similar personalities and behaviors to them respectively
What makes this better is that the cast seemed genuinely happy and surprised that the audience signed along and seemed to love the movie.
I wish that _A Goofy Movie_ would be re-released in theaters as a sing-along. That would be _awesome sauce._
Yep
Thats probably something the el capitan in Hollywood would do
@@borp_gorp6940 funny enough but they actually did re-release it in theaters all the way back in 2017
max photo-op, costume contest, performance with max dancing to “I 2 I” and everything
A theater full of 20-30 year olds singing at the top of their lungs is EXACTLY what we need
Yes
Jason looks ecstatic that he finally gets a chance to sing the song! He does a great job!
Yeah
CHILDHOOD TO THE MAX
*bad'm chh*
Boo boo this man or Woman!
Was this a pun?
LOL! NICE AWESOME AND PERFECT PUN!
I see what you did there
Okay, whoever sang that high note at the end:
That was pretty clean.
@J.E.M as James Edward McDonald That was you that sang the high note? Lol
I love how the audience knows every word to this song!
jasobres Doesn't everyone?
@@frostypinesanimation I dont
@@Toonthegoob-hd6jq *Learn it now*
So do I!
@@Toonthegoob-hd6jq learn it.
I can't stop watching this, Jason did really good he isn't such a bad singer I don't understand why they replaced him for the singing parts
Yo, interesting thing, the guy who did the singing for Max in the original movie was Aaron Lohr, who also portrayed Dean Portman, one of the bash brothers from The Mighty Ducks. Disney wants to keep their talent in house.
Paulo Pengson Another interesting thing about Aaron Lohr is that he's now engaged to Idina Menzel, aka Elsa from Frozen.
Wasn't he also in the Newsies movie?
Idina Menzel played on enchanted!
Yes, he was in Newsies.
This panel gave me an idea: there should be an audio track exclusive to the Blu-ray in which Jason Marsden provides Max's singing voice for ALL the songs in the movie (including this one)! Thumbs up if you agree!
+Robert KC Cornell That would be a sound idea if they want to go back and do it.
+Robert KC Cornell Same should be done for the DVD edition of the of said special edition. More rather, the DVD and Blu-Ray combo pack would contain Jason Marsden's redub of Max singing as you had mentioned in the movie. There could even be a soundtrack contained with the Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack that also features Max's redubbed lines, plus scores that didn't get on the original soundtrack like the road montage and such.
He did amazing at the singing. Sometimes no idea why they don't get the actors to do their singing too. Still, awesome
The Blu-Ray is probably never going to come the only way to see whole is the laserdisc the DVD and VHS release is Pan And Scan the Laserdisc is Letterbox
Completely agree.
I don't know why this makes me so insanely happy, but it does. Seeing that they still have the same exact voices and enjoy doing this makes me smile. :)
me to
Me too. I heart ❤ this😁
400th like
Bill Farmer and Jason Marsden is an underrated duo ❤.
The crowd going "YEAH!" in unison with the fat woman in the small car made me laugh so hard.
Jason laughed too XD
That was a 20 year worth pent up YEAH 😂
I love your name BTW. 😅
Lol
I love that it wasn't just the crowd; Jason went "Yeah!" too 😂 he was fanboying along with the audience
Omg when Mickey Mouse came on I almost cried, Wayne allwine was the best and most fitting mickey voice ever. I’m surprised nobody has said anything about that. Rest easy, man; you are now reunited with your true love Russi Taylor. ❤️ he’s no longer voice by him.
Agreed!! Wayne Allwine is my favorite Mickey voice actor. But Bret Iwan was a perfect replacement
Well, there was cheering for him in the audience! Wayne really was a legend 💖
And tbh, I always wanted to know how that road trip went? Mackey and Donald are such good friends I bet it was equally wacky and endearing
@@victoriapulcifer6218 You know what they need to do, they need to do a movie where it picks up on Mickey and Donald off on their adventure.
i could barely connect to the fact that they were singing live! So amazing, love the goofy and max duo
Nadia Bhatti 🤓🤓😞😒😒😒😒😒🙁
I love that their voices haven't changed!
I mean Bill Farmer’s been the voice of Goofy for over 34 years
I never knew that that had someone else sing Max parts,I really thought it was Jason singing the whole time. It sounds the same, they should have let him sing. He sounds amazing.
The 2000 DVD Version has Marsden singing himself. Disney secretly remastered the songs for the DVD with Marsden's voice.
Tornado1994
No!
I love Jason Marsden's voice
1:47 everyone: YEAH , and then Jason laughs XD
2:42 Props to that soprano hitting the high notes there.
Mad Max Fury Road
Hhahah!
holy fuck

Goofy road*
Joseph Nixon GOOD ONE!!
I met Bill Farmer in person a few years ago and he was one of the nicest guys ever. :D
@Greg Elchert he does It for adults too ..hes great
Bill Farmer and Jason Marsden still got it!
In the original 1995 Film and VHS release, Aaron Lohr sang as Max.
Marsden's singing was digitally remastered for the 2000 DVD release.
Tornado1994
No, it wasn't.
It's almost like they really are father and son even though they are not related
I love Jason's version so much more. There's this certain quality of delivery he gives with the lines that just add to it. No offense to the original though..
The DVD Release has Jason Mardsen himself singing as Max. The 2000 DVD was remastered secretly as a hidden eastern egg, Max's singing in it sounds virtually identical to his speaking voice, whereas in the 1995 original Theatrical Release and late 1995 VHS release, Max's singing voice sounds fairly off kilter and different. In the original 1995 Film, Aaron Lohr sang as Max.
Tornado1994
Stop lying.
@@NickCMedia I don’t know why he saying that and don’t know where he just got info from
agreed 10000% :)
I keep forgetting he voiced Rosh in Star Wars: Jedi Academy.
Jason Marsden is a good singer 0:27. It's a shame that they didn't let him did Max's singing voice
Exactly he did sing in Skyrim m.ruclips.net/video/tj4iYJ4ph8M/видео.html
Apparently when they released the movie on DVD they actually did let him re-record it.
i'm surprised how close to the original the audience was. every background character sounded remarkably close to how they should.
There wasn’t an instrumental playing. That was the real song from the movie, just with people in the audience singing along.
To be honest, he sounds similar to the singer who did Max's singing in the movie. Why replace him??
Exactly what I thought!
Well, according to executives, you apparently need at least one celebrity in your movie. At least the rest of the characters are voiced by professional voice actors.
ShinbiBelldandy It was 20 years ago. And I don't think Jason is a professional singer. So he may have learned in the 20 years between then and now
At the time ADR production was done in the Late Summer of 1994, Disney didn't think that Mardsen could sing, and chose Mighty Ducks star Aaron Lohr instead for the singing.
In 2000, Disney remastered A Goofy Movie for DVD. They secretly had Mardsen rerecord Max's singing lines.
Tornado1994 I can't find any information on that, what's your source?
Stumbled upon this. Kinda needed this tonight. Made me smile and drop all I was doing to just, sit back, relax and smile and listen to it. It was fun. Movie has a deep meaning to me, and this is like awesome incarnate :D
I still love how no one sang the tiny voiced part but everyone scream YEAH in a deep voice the moment the big wife said it
Omg. I was born in Siberia and this is the most favorite cartoon of my chindhood. I watched it dozens of times on VHS when I was about 7-8 yo. I'm 30 now and this is so heartwarming to hear the song with the original voice actors. I'm crying at the moment and I can't stop.
Love Jim Cummings really enjoying it and tapping along in the back.
Jason made laugh so hard. One of my fav movies as a kid. 😂
From being a disney kid since before i was even born, i’ve NEVER seen the voice actor behind goofy. So singing him sing and the voice of goofy coming out literally was a shock to me and i was mesmerized for a good 5 minutes 😂 This is absolutely amazing. BEST DUO EVER!
I met Jason Marsden at a comic con here in Maine a few years ago. He was so funny and kind ☺
Not to mention pretty cute! 😊
Jason Marsden is so cute
When i was little I used to have a crush on max 😂😂😂
same
So did i 😂 thought i was over it, guess not
Hahaha not me xD he pissed me as a kid cause I felt so bad for Goofy
Plus Jason Marsden is pretty easy on the eyes too. Lol
I know I wasn't born when this came out... But I still have the movie! Ever since I saw this movie, I still love it!
It’s crazy how natural goofys voice is for the actor’ a lot of times u can see them straining their throat/ muscles it’s like that’s his normal voice’
Thanks for great child hood memories!
this movie is so fucking wholesome, I cant even
i actually met Jason Marsden at a con. it was lovely. he did his voice from Korra for me and also described his time working on Skyrim. he was such a nice dude.
Bill and Jason do look like father and son
This really makes me want to see Marsden do After Today. I don't suppose they did that as well. I would love that - best song in the movie after Stand Out (my fave) and I2I.
The 2000 DVD Remaster has Marsden signing all of Max's songs.
Tornado1994 are you sure? Do you have clips? I’d love to hear!
Yes. It was added as a hidden Easter Egg in the 2000 DVD remaster. If you listen, Max's singing voice in the DVD Master is completely distinguishable. It sounds like his speaking voice.
They might have, I haven't seen videos as there is video of Tevin Campbell singing Eye to Eye
I don't know why they dubbed Jason's voice! He did amazing in this!!
Maybe back when they were making the movie he wasn’t a good enough singer
0:55 Can't get over Jim Cummings FACE THO XDDD
THESE ARE MY PEOPLE
I’m still mad they didn’t let Jason Marsden sing for Max when he’s clearly a good singer and the speaking voice for Max. The character doesn’t even sing that much, just in After Today, On The Open Road, and Nobody Else But You. The rest is Powerline singing anyway
Wait are you saying Marsden didn’t sing as Max in the movie?
brandon lindsey No, they got Aaron Lohr to do the singing voice for him. He was in the Newsies and Disney wanted to “keep it in the family” or something stupid like that. It was obviously unnecessary
Exactly same with Lion King 2 that they didn't let him sing in that movie too
Jason did excellent!! I was smiling threw the whole vid..along with singing along. XD
I had the pleasure of meeting Bill and Jason two weeks ago at GalaxyCon. Super nice guys and great conversations with both!
This was one of all time favorites growing up, seeing this and how much both the actors and the audience enjoyed it brings me insane amounts of joy! That movie was an underrated masterpiece!
One of my all time favorite movies. I’m 40 and still know all the words
Throwback to this awesome movie! Best reunion ever!
483: This movie is my childhood! I loved this song since I was a kid whenever I’m on the open road with my dad.
I can't stop smiling when I watch this. I'm so happy this classic is still remembered after all these years.
My fricking childhood!!!!!! This just give me chills!!!! This was amazing!!!!
Goofy and Max forever ❤️😂😂 this made me happy while being alone
the sheer joy in this video is almost too much to handle! when everyone in the crowd started singing i almost got misty-eyed
One of my favorite songs from my childhood. I would've sang along in all the parts where they didn't sing 😃👏👏
This is my favourite movie!
I’d love to someday get Bill Farmer to sign my favorite Goofy toy. He’d be the only Fab Five voice I’d want to get an autograph from unless Max and his friends also count. But Goofy is pure serotonin. He’s so sweet and funny… and he’s a dog!
I also really love Goofy as a singer. Bill’s Goofy is just pleasing to hear in a sort of country style way.
Actually it’s come out recently that goofy is not a dog, much like hello kitty isn’t a cat…they’re both simply dog and cat “like”
Came here cuz yesterday was the 25th anniversary and I miss this decade of movies so much
Is Max saw his dad in Kingdom Hearts, he would've had respect for him right from the beginning
So well synchronised with the scene
Who disliked this? This is great! Lol
they are idiots who dislike it that's who
These are my people. I hate not being able to travel to see these kind of things OTL
My childhood 😍😍😭😭
I cant and wont stop smiling😍😍
I was there in the audience, it was awesome!
Watching again in 2020! Timeless!
This was a super underrated movie. It was actually very fantastic and every now and then I hum some of these tunes as I’m driving along the open road…
Goofy’s voice actor may be the cutest man alive
What about James?
This put a big fat smile on my face! 😄😄😄😄😄❤❤❤❤❤❤
25 years later, it’s still a masterpiece. :D
The only time Jason Marsden does Max’s singing lines outside of House of Mouse.
Yep
I just noticed Jason marsden is the voice actor for kovu from TLK2 and TLG
He also voices Haku from Spirited Away
I felt like a kid again.
Met Bill Farmer after talk he gave about his career. As much as I love Disney, it pained me that they only pay him 1 check per use of his voice for Goofy, Pluto so he has done other characters voices for other company to survive. So happy with new Mickey cartoons because of that but they may not survive with John Lasseter gone. Some don't like the look(I do)
Disney keeps buying everythingup there will be no other places for voice actors to work.
I like how everyone knew the “Yeah”😂😂
please let max be in KH3, i know it's not possible, but i can dream, either TAT or bring noel kriess into the KH fray, i just need that voice in another game!
This is so much fun. EVen as an adult today I love it!
Oh the feels
Why are we so blessed????
I LOVE how a lot of people sang along with Goof and Max
I needed to be here. I’m so hype!
One of my best friends died last month, this was a song we related strongly to the both of us. Thank you for the upload, I get that it's old, but my friend would have loved it. Thank you, again.
Jason Marsden is another actor who is a surprisingly good singer.
Yep
My favorite part of this song is when the big lady (lady? I assumed it was a lady) goes "YEAH!" HAHAHA
Wow you had a good view of this awesome moment
I COULD CRY TOO, BILL FARMER
I lost it when they said yes.
So you're telling me this had been on RUclips for 6 YEARS and I'm just seeing it now!?!!!!!??
Such a great movie. They were all so talented for making that.
This is beautiful, I keep revisiting it! Now we just need Tevin Campbell as Powerline back!!
Can't wait for Momocon this year. Hoping they'll do a panel like this there!
It’s kinda amazing seeing all these people. Sharing there love of something. The magic of this can’t help but choke you up.
Omg! Such nostalgic days! Loved this film - would watch it a lot as a kid
I remember this movie back in the 90s i am glad i born in 1992 on bluckster i always rent this movie
My childhood right here
Bill Farmer seems so cool and wonderful. Hope to one day meet him.
So much childhood nostalgia just came back so hard and fast. I love it
It's so weird yet also awesome seeing Bill farmer in person and not just his goofy voice from an animated character
This made me think of my childhood ❤😭 so wholesome!
