I'm so fucking jealous!!!!🤣😂
Disneyland is getting more restricted with their characters lately and it's a shame. I loved it when they were literally all over the place.
Big time jealous.
Even without it being filmed, it's just such a beautiful moment. I am so glad you got to do that!
Goofy movie. Broadway musical. Tevin Campbell playing Powerline. Now.
I agree!!
Yaaassss🙌🏽
So let it be done.
Helllsssss to da YES
Omg
His name may be Tevin Campbell, but to kids of the 90s, he will forever be known as Powerline.
I still can't believe Tevin Campbell sounds the EXACT same. The man does not sound like he aged.
He's STILL got it. He could easily record more songs as Powerline if he wanted to.
@@infiniduck4303 Oh definitely. I hope he does, but ultimately that's his choice. And Disney's, I guess.
@@hawktalon7890 That is true. But it would be a dream come true either way.
I mean, why not? Disney is riding that nostalgia train so hard these days it's almost running it into the ground. Why not, in the midst of all these remakes, a full album release of Powerline! You know, even if it *didn't* sell out, that they'd make their money back on nostalgia sales alone.@@infiniduck4303
That girl is killing it comparing to those two dancers lol
Miss V fr
That's what happens when you are really into it
She started boppin to that JAM!!!
Right? I was like wow those 2 were kinda sloppy for being the pros here!
@@TahtahmesDiary probably not a lot of space to bust a move
1:30 girl was living her Max moment dancing with Powerline
Edit:I love how this turned into a dance party 😂
She killed it too.
@@uginiopaka3376Great energy 🎉❤
I was grinning like a crazy person during this whole video.
theREALslumberjack Same! I find my self constantly coming back! The nostalgia ❤️
theREALslumberjack Facts
I was literally dancing during this!! They have to do a live action remake with him as powerline!! Gotta come full circle!
28 years old and crying seeing TC finally sing this song live. I feel like I've waited most of my life for this! Hope he knows how many lifelong Powerline/Goofy Movie fans he's made incredibly happy!
I’m in my 30s now and these songs are still effin amazing. I still have the VHS somewhere.
Same yay 😀
Same lol
Haha we all do...
Same! This song still makes me feel amazing to this day ❤
The VHS that has Doctor Looney's Remedy by Parachute Express ahead of the movie? I got that for my two daughters... we watched the VHS so many times it should have exploded but I think it still exists somewhere
he sounds just like he did like. for real. his voice hasn't changed much. I love this song.
I absolutely lost my shit!
i cried...lmfao nice name my uncle's name is asher
+Ashura “Cherusi” G. LMAO off this is a priceless reply!!!! LOVE IT!!!
messy
I literally cried. My gosh this is amazing. That’s what a call a worthy audience!!! Full of energy ❤️ Tevin Campbell you made my childhood awesome!
Don't you mean "my gawrsh?"
If you’re a millennial and you weren’t doing the choreography every time this scene played I dunno what to tell ya! I can still do it at 35!
Anyone want to just imagine Tevin Campbell didn't read the lyrics beforehand, and is just living out his life as Powerline?
I think it's more amazing to think that they rehearsed this for who knows how long just for this one time thing.
That's dedication right there.
It's got to be 20 years since I've seen the movie and I remember almost all the words. This song had no business being that damn good.
How could you forget the lyrics to jam like this!!!!!!
Anyone else singing along loudly to this video or is it just me . . . A Goofy Movie is my absolute favorite animated Disney movie as a little kid. Tevin is true talent unlike many music artist nowadays.
just a little bit
~He's definitely still got his voice. He needs to come back and show all these other so called artists what good music actually is~
+WaffleBrother Pal not only am I singing but I'm doing the perfect cast...
WaffleBrother yessss
Thank the Lord above Prince found this man when he was a child
I love that 20 years later, he still has the pipes to due this song justice! It sounds amazing, even after so long!
This video was posted two years ago and I'm just now seeing it?!! This just made my whole life! Man I miss my childhood. 90's kid!!
I am now seeing this video. I am seeing your comment two years later 😨
Girl same here
Damn you have to give it up to Tevin Campbell for being able to sound almost exactly like the original recorded version!
Kurisiti 20 years later at that
Because he's singing with the actual song, which still has it's original vocals.
@@ikill4klondikebars Its Karaoke playback but his Vocals are 100% live.
Bless Tevin, he was so happy at the end. 20 years later and he finally became Powerline.
Tevin PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come back to being famous again!!!
+MrIzador needs to make songs like this and not gangster rap. Then he would go right up to icon levels. This might have been the push he needed.
+MrIzador We need a Powerline tour!!!
He reminds me of Neyo.
I WOULD GO TO A POWERLINE TOUR
Austriker AU Heck, yeah! 🙌🏽🎤💜🙏🏽
The key change at the end still gives me the chills.
It takes a song that’s already perfect and just elevates it. I love it too. Goosebumps
Tevin has protected his voice for sure and it seems like his voice never really changed since he first became famous as a kid.😊💖💃🏽💃🏽
WHY AM I CRYING?!
Alexander DePinto me too! Idk why? Wtf
Because your reliving a moment you enjoyed in life
i cry 9/10 listening to the soundtrack and 10/10 watching the movie 😂😂
Bruh I almost welled up and I have no idea why
Wtf me too... Haha this is so weird. I'm about to lose it lol 🤣.
Oh god I miss this Disney era... It was my literal childhood so I'm a mess rn 😆
Was the golden age
Tyler Rodriguez Same!!! I miss the old Disney!!
I'm 30 and tearing up rn. I still sing this this song randomly multiple times a week, along with the muse's songs from Hercules and occasionally a bunch of Lion King songs. Our Disney time felt like a golden age.
Why am I crying at 31 years old watching this 😭😭😭😭🥹🥹 so many memories and he still sounds incredible
I think he such an underrated R&B star
He is. He's like the male whitney houston. He needs to get a hit record and get back on the scene while he's still young enough to do it.
@@scj3188 he was whitney's protege
No one took the time to learn the "Perfect Cast", it would have been the best time to bust it out.
At 3:28 they did a little bit
Im literally ranting around my house like how could they not do the full thing. I was waiting for the jump cause that was my fav part
@@daniellemitchell2342 they did the full thing. including the jump.
Tevin Campbell will always be a legend in my book. He’s truly one of the most underrated and under appreciated singers ever!!
I teared up a little watching this. The memories!
Same here, I got chills over and over again.
Dont you wish you can rewind and be a kid again just to get that nostalgic feeling of the music, shows, and 90s feeling? I'm an 80s baby but a 90s kid. We just had so many good memories.
The Late Night Snack me too!
me too
Me too!!!!!! I have the biggest lump in my throat! Nostalgia...seeing Tevin get the respect he deserves...his voice. Omgeeee
I always thought that Powerline's voice was digital or digitally edited, hearing it now it really is a real person's voice. So cool! :D
digital can't do that.
@@CamJames especially not in 95
You can't digital true talent💯💯
Soul can't be copied like that.
Same
Love the way they have the actual recording with his voice blended into the live performance, so you have the voice of Tevin Campbell at the age of 19 years old and the voice of the modern day Tevin Campbell, Super sensational combination indeed.
Love me some Tevin Campbell ❤️ 💯🤗👏👍
Stand out and Eye to Eye are probably two of the best song Disney has ever put out in their movies, to this day.
I'm freaking out! He should have worn the yellow jumpsuit.
😅😅
Internet would've exploded if that happened
Yes omg XD
OMG!!!! LOL! Hell yeah he TOTALLY should have!
I'm glad he didn't. If so, someone would've probably found you unconscious due to an excessive joygasm.
so many years later tevin STILL HAS THE TALENT!!!
wow I miss being a child so much
no problem, you got hot, wich is better than being a child.
CancerCancer name checks out
+Ayy
And you've got an unfriendly attitude, which is way better than having friends.. Wait..
Ayy that's horrible to say
Erosado124 its crazy right? i get goosebumps listening to things like this.
That man in the black jacket behind him is genuinely having a good time
That's Rob Paulsen dude! AKA P.J!
Well tell him I said he's my hero for just being him 💕🙏
That’s Yakko Warner from Animaniacs AKA Pinky from Pinky And The Brain AKA Rob Paulsen!
I was just about to type this! Rob Paulson was definitely getting down!! Lol! He's a Great guy
Rob Paulsen is an absolute LEGEND
I really hope he knows how appreciated he is. You can kind of see that here. You can tell he started a bit worried hut got into it as time goes one. You made a generation man, Thank you for the joy you have brought to everyone.
2020, Corona virus has a hold on the world.
RUclips: WE'RE SEEING IT EYE TO EYEE
This lifted my spirits. This was posted 4 years ago and im just seeing it now though???
I SO needed this!!! Brings back my teen years-yes, I was a #90sTeen #NotSorry
Um in my doctors wearing a mask and listening to this right now...eye to eye!!!
Literally the quarantine:
Seems like he started off a bit nervous but when he got into he was Powerline
Yea fr lol them white people love they disney songs so......lol
#BLACKBOOKT.V Channel “them white people” black people love disney too
@@GrannysPimple Yeah, I thought that comment was weird too.
People always gotta bring race into everything, music has no color - and I’m black.
@@crunchy1547 except for the wind because Pocahontas said so...
What an amazing vocalist this guy is, super underrated. Even Prince produced several songs for him, I wonder how much he got paid for this.
Favorite part about this performance is that the back up dancers are doing the perfect cast
Just noticed that xD
You go yellow shirt girl!
Damn! Our boy brought the whole house down with that one. Sounds exactly the same, too. That's talent.
After that first chorus, he took the breaks off of his voice and decided to show out! Have straight up tears of joy right now! 🖤
Damn, never realized how awesome Disney's dancing has been through the decades. And this guy's voice...incredible. Just like the movie!
Dang, two decades after the movie's release and he STILL got it!!
If we listen to each other's heart
We'll find we're never too far apart
And maybe love is the reason why
For the first time ever we're seeing it eye to eye. This lyrics are so underrated..
Tevin campbell should've been way more bigger than he is.
He did not want it. He loved to sing but hated the fame. He saw how corrupt the music business was and wanted no parts. Look how Michael Jackson turned out… it killed him. Tevin was smart enough to say no I’m done. He was forced in the business and was not ready for it. The made a shit load of money off him and tossed him to the side. He is just happy singing not about money or fame for him. He is happy.
Godlike and timeless
He didnt write em down
They had me at the perfect cast!!
I'm so greatful to be born in the 90's to enjoy these amazing movies
The most underrated and also my favorite Disney movie. It would have been such a dream to have been there. ;-;
right on ! if im not correct wasnt this straight to VHS????
Hey Dad Dad! Do the Perfect Castttttt!!!!!!
I almost started tearing up when other people get up and start dancing, Makes me so happy, almost to the point of crying when other people just get up and dance, I love seeing them happy doing that.
Two Prince proteges on the same song, Tevin and the extremely underrated Rosie Gaines, what voices.
Tevin was whitney's protege
This seriously made me cry. I watched this VHS a million times.
I'm 34 years old now and it's been years, but this song still gives me goosebumps. Damn, our childhood was the best!
IT'S POWERLINE, OH MY FUCKING GOD YAAAAAAAS TEVIN, YOU BETTA SING! \o/
I'm a 23 year old college student fangirling, clapping and singing along to this song, just like a did over a decade ago lmao
His voice is still awesome as ever, oh my god, the memories
I can't believe it, Powerline live in concert. I actually have the CD of tevin singing this with a little new jack swing feel to it. One of the best Disney songs ever made.
It’s 2023, I’m 44 and this whole soundtrack still makes me “jump up” and sing along every time it comes on my Spotify playlist. I was so happy when I finally heard the full version of Stand Out. Definitely a favorite from my childhood!🥰👏🏼
37 here. same here!❤
The dancers did the dance when he sings "If we listen to eachother's heart" 😭😭😭
i was worried when he started cause he sounded a little different, but dammit the man still got it
I’m LITERALLY crying tears of joy right now! I love this movie so much and it was such a huge part of my childhood 😭
lol the actor who plays Max took off so quick to record this 😂💜❤️💚
o i met hiz actor!!
You mean Jason Marsden? That is pretty cool, and he was pretty popular actor in the 90's. Was in a bunch of sitcoms
