Just showed this to my wife. She thought the shots were great, but had one complaint: "That guy is just not dorky enough to be Max. He looks like the most handsome boy in school; there's no way the hot girl would have brushed him off like that!" 🤣

I don't really agree with it. In the context of the movie, Max isn't really abnormal in appearances, he's just really lacking in self confidence. This is a flaw of Roxanne, too. They both wish for each other to notice them, but are far too shy and self-loathing to even make an attempt.
This managed to be even more 90's than the cartoon. I love it.

This is proof that you don't need money to really do something cool. With $100, friends and family, and six months, he made a spot-on shot-for-shot remake of this scene.
If he doesn't go on to change Hollywood in a major way, I'm going to be very disappointed.
People could learn a lot from this.
The people who made this said teaches who teach media classes are using this video as an example to their students that (This is what you can do when you have next to nothing.)

I was 11 when I got that film on VHS tape. Now 24 years on I’m still amazed how such a low budget Disney film managed to become one of my favorites, considering how much of an animation nerd I always been. It just goes to show that you don’t always need amazing effects when the story and the music are top-notch!

Every year on the last day of school since you released this video, I make it a point to come watch it before I do a full dive in to watching the movie. Over the last 3 years, it's become a tradition with my brother and his kids, and two of my friends and theirs where we watch A Goofy Movie after watching this. the movie Clerks was also made pretty cheaply as well.. and filmed with a black n white home camera
Clerks original budget was $27,000 and was filmed on black and white film stock using a 16mm Arri SR-2 camera. It was filmed black and white because he: A) Didn't have the money for colored film and B) used so many types of lights with so many varying color temps that it would have been hell to fix in post.

My niece also had no belly button because she was born without a stomach wall. Had to be sewn together when she was barely more than a fetus. It was terrifying for our family but she miraculously lived and is now the second youngest black belt in the USA.
She is wearing a tan leotard so that way, like in the film, she doesn’t have a belly button.

I was nine years old when i orginally watched it, and now im 22 rewatching it again and still love it.
I was honestly face-palming when I saw the thumbnail. But then.....I was quite shocked to actually have a smile on my face! You guys did this really well! Like WOW....I am impressed! This is actually kind of what it would look like in real life! Even Max looked the part. BRAVO! Make more shot for shot remakes!
(P.S. I loved the large women falling over on the field. IDK why but it made me crack up! xD haha)

Hey Ted! I'm a 54 year old father of 2 kids that LOVED this movie when they were kids. In fact, I loved it too. My kids are 25 and 27 now! You did a fantastic job and brought back some really great memories of hangin' out with them watching The Goofy Movie over and over and over!! We never got tired of it!
I love how they put so many details on the comix of the geek kids they made it look really really like it is the animated one
