I'd like to imagine them programming the Brain Scorcher so it plays this kind of music in the heads of Monolith members. That's why Monolith are so adamant about controlling the Brain Scorcher in the first place.
The Brain Scorcher has been described as extremely painful by those who have survived being caught on the edges with their sanity intact. It has no effect on Monolith or zombified stalkers.
Stalker is an incredible game, even just for the Monolithians. At first glance, you may think it's just a shooting game about mutant humans and animals of Chernobyl. But the each faction of the game brings so much to it's atmosphere. Specially the idea of a religious group brainwashed about a monolith fighting for it and trying to protect the radiated area is very creative. I first met stalker with the Bandits' radio, and then as i search the more about the game and play it, i never regret the hours i spend with it.
