Real sailing without music and talking, finally someone figured it out! That was great, thanks!

Awesome sailing! I'm doing a refit on Westsail 32 #157. Getting a lot of inspiration from your videos!

San Francisco Bay sailor on a 30 foot trimaran Condor. Mate, that is what i call a real beat. The thing I hate about being caught out in those types of beats...what if something gives way in the rigging? I was caught off of Anacapa Island, in the Channel islands off of Ventura one time in heavy winds of about 23-35 knots. I was trying to get onto the back side of Santa Cruz island (south side) for wind protection against a Santa Ana wind forecast to fill in late evening. I was on a 27 foot Farrier trimaran at that time. We beat for hours and i bet we didn't make 2 miles. Finally i had to bear off and make it back to Ventura. Between the Channel islands and the coast of california it really is like a wind funnel. Waves were 6-8 footers with on the beam...tons of wind...and I finally got in around dark and just left everything laying on the deck. I thought i was gonna die...smile. So, when you said "it was the most challenging conditions you had experienced you brought me back to that crossing. People who don't sail have no idea how violent the sea can be when she sets her mind to it. Really enjoyed the tack from starboard over to port. #32 footer looked like she is a rugged little ship and well found. Loved it.
