I have found that polarised helps prevent migraine from night driving but I can’t find any clear lenses that don’t darken my surroundings and don’t have a colour tint
Great video! I have trouble with nighttime driving and the "star bursts" that the oncoming headlights produce. the lights blind me and I feel very uncomfortable driving at night. Sometimes, I have no choice but to drive at night even though I try to avoid it at all costs. I see your links in the description but don't see a link description for the "anti reflective" glasses. Do you sell those and if so, would you please post a link(s) to some to be able to purchase? Thanks so much! 🙂
Sportrx labs offer amazing AR coatings as well as many other brand's direct labs that we carry including Maui Jim, Costa, Oakley, and RayBan! www.sportrx.com/
One reason they make non-polarized sunglasses - airline pilots. They don't use polarized sunglasses because they interfere with seeing their instrument screens (not to mention their cockpit windows, which are already partially polarized so they'd see dark spots on them). As for me, I won't use anything *BUT* polarized sunglasses!
I just noticed that my prescription sunglasses have an anti reflective coating on both side of the lenses , is it bad to have anti reflective on the front side of my sunglasses ?
Hey there! It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it will allow more light to pass through the lens, which is antithetical to the purpose of having a tinted lens. You should still have complete UV protection, though, which is most important 👍
Yes! In many cases with Rx lenses you have the option to apply an Anti Reflection coating to the backside of the lens to combat glare. Highly recommended if you're particularly sensitive to bright light 🌞
Polarization only applies to tinted lenses. There is no lens that is both clear and polarized. AR (Anti Reflective) coating is what's used to minimize glare on a clear lens.
Hey there! Polarization is usually the culprit causing windshield glare & general 'weirdness'. A non-polarized tint coupled with Anti-Reflective coating should do the trick 👍
For the best nighttime driving vision, we recommend clear lenses with an AR coating. However, clear lenses and AR coatings are only recommended for prescription-wearers.

I find oncoming 'modern' headlights very dazzling - they really are excessive.
Who are some good brands that make AR lenses? Need to get a pair to reduce the glare coming into my eyes.
