Thank you so much, I've been trying to get better at art but I've had trouble bringing my art style over until Rebelle. It just kept confusing me a bit and this cleared up a lot.
Thanks Raunefault, I hope you get there, it can take a lot of time and practice with these tools to get to where you want to be. I'm still on that journey. Cheers for watching and commenting.
Hi. Great video. I have Rebelle 7 and with the tool options on my brushes I can't see any brush length option? Jusy size, opacity and water? Why would this be the case? Is it something I need to turn on as a visible option. I have just purchased the Rebelle 7 pro so there is no reason it should be available. Any help is appreciated.
Where you see size opacity and water, click the three lines to the right of the blue word watercolor, click on show sliders and click length, it should appear or may appear after reset. Hope that helps and thanks for watching and commenting.
So much to learn Wee Bob. Thanks for taking the time in sharing your knowledge. I tend to forget some of your tips and often come back later for replays which is a big help. Enjoy and Merry Christmas .
thanks for watching as always Rmderon, it is always appreciated. Any ideas for me to help you with let me know. Trying to figure out what to talk about next. All the best and hope you are having a great week.
Another very professional video, Bob. Thanks for that. I don't know where you get the time. I hope Escape Motions appreciate your efforts on their behalf. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Thanks for the kind words Kneelneil, appreciate the feedback. As for time, art and youtube is my main hobby outside of my full time job and time spent with my family. I like Escape Motions as they seem invested in their product and making improvements all the time, plus I am really loving Rebelle and definitely the new features in this version. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well. Thanks again it is really encouraging to get feedback like this.
Not at my computer just now but you can rotate the brush in the brush creator tool access through windows menu. Whether you can rotate the brush while painting I cannot remember but you can set jitter etc in brush creator. Hope that helps and if not drop me another comment and I will have a look later or sometime this week. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@weebobart Thank you. Yes, I found the angle setting in the brush creator tool. But this is not really efficient. For example when painting an evergreen using a fan brush I need to rotate the brush during painting. In the moment I can not afford a new graphic tablet with angle and rotation sensor for the pen.
Just stumbled across the Rebelle 6 demo and your video. Very informative, thank you. If I buy the software I'm sure I'll be lurking your channel quite a lot! Question: does Rebelle 6 have a color harmonies feature, similar to Corel Painter?
I haven't really used Corel only a small time recently using the demo. There is not an immediate feature that I can think of that does this. You could get an image with a look you are hoping to achieve and you can make a custom palette from the image. I show this in the 24 minute video from memory. Thanks for watching and commenting. You might also have been my 2k subscriber so cheers a lot for that.
I hope Rebelle's realistic painting comes to the iPad because Procreate cannot do pigment mixing and I just need something that can simulate real paint.
Escape Motions have stated that they are working on an iPad version however I think it is early days and may have a ways to go. Procreate does interest me but I will need to pick up an iPad first, hopefully later this year. Thanks for watching and commenting and if Rebelle ever does come to the iPad I will definitely be creating some videos. cheers again!
I did just get my Rebelle Pro 6 today. I have to learn everything how do I put the tools at the left side and right side, if I open a new toolbox the old open toolbox close, how can I keep them open ?
Sounds like a weird issue, might be you have it working in tablet mode, if so just hit the TAB key on your keyboard or look under the window menu where you can reset it to default which should have all the toolbars available. You can lock the menus here as well. Not sure that solves the issue, but it doesn't sound like one I have had before. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thank you for the video. I wold like to start experimenting more on digital art. Im.a huge fan of ashley wood. What you think would be the best software for me between krita, artrage, rebelle and Photoshop?
I started with Photoshop, but the expense is too much to begin with and I personally don't think it is the best software. The choice will also depend on what you have available to you in terms of a computer or tablet. Maybe I will make this the topic of my video this week as it is worth discussing. For you though I would look at Krita, Clip Studio Paint or Sketchbook Pro. I will talk more in the video as to the reasons I like each software. Cheers for watching and commenting.
Yeah I haven't tried Art Rage for a long period of time but I hear positive things about it. For the moment though I sort of want to concentrate on painting rather than trying to find that perfect software as I feel that journey is coming to an end with Rebelle and potentially Art Rage at some point in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting. All the best for the holiday season if you are celebrating it.
Rebelle is best for oil acrylic and watercolours. Below that comes ArtRage for acrylic, Corel Painter for watercolour and Photoshop for everything else.
Question: Do you have any suggestions as to what Color Profile is best used for later printing or sharing on the web? I noticed you had "Do not manage colors" enabled. I submit art to a licensing agent and get really confused with digital art color profiles.
Unfortunately I don't know much about this subject. Escape motions do have a recent video on their channel where they talk a bit about color profiles to use when printing. It is a subject I am starting to look at as I consider more commercial aspects of this hobby. In the past when I used photoshop I did some test prints before sending painting to be printed on canvas. Sorry not a very helpful answer but thank you for watching and commenting.
Hi Bob, did I misunderstand your comment at the beginning that you spent over 1,000 dollars on Rebelle? How did you do that. Version 7 is on sale until Nov. 30, 2023 for $29 (pro version). Regular price is $150. Or did you mean you spent over a thousand on various digital art programs?
I don't remember my original comment. No I originally bought rebelle 5 Pro for 150 from memory. I have spent thousands over the past few years on digital tablets and then upgrading my PC this year. Thanks for the heads up on the sale. I have posted a recent video on this as well and will do a features review once it is officially release. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Cheers Persona, hope life is treating you well. I am super busy at the moment and getting round to RUclips and drawing just doesn't seem to be happening. Anyway hopefully I can catch up with making videos as well as watching others content as well. All the best and thanks again for the kind comments.
Thanks, yeah I have seen others use it and will maybe give it a go, depends on whether it is a subscription model which I am not a fan of. Thanks for watching Alexk and hope you have a great weekend.
Lol I'm glad you got that I am Scottish and I can only assume that is because you are also Scottish. So far I have been Welsh and Irish and maybe someone claimed I was Canadian, not too sure on that last one. Anyway thank you very much for watching along and for your kind comments. All the best for 2024.
It really bothers me a lot when you strive at will to acquire a better artistic level and see that on the other hand everything you have achieved is stepped on in front of your nose with these cheating resources. Continue crushing other people's wills by facilitating every area with these resources. Thus for years they have left many out of work by supplanting everything with AI. Everything that was created to "help people" actually crushes them with these new technologies. Don't get me wrong, it is amazing to see what has been achieved, but at the same time it is totally invasive.15 year ago i studie 3D, I made an effort to study from scratch and then you see that your effort is compared to "people" without remorse, those who download assets, where they have not even been able to model a stupid chair, making incredible scenes without having in-depth knowledge of the program in Yeah. I got tired of seeing it, "people" specializing in pressing the "render" button and I left the 3D. Now they get into painting. It is the last straw, they invade everything that should no longer be invaded, the creativity of the soul. Disgusting gentlemen!

Hi - Only just found Rebelle and I'm playing with the demo - Instant Sub - Thanks ✌
Thanks more videos coming soon. Life has been a bit crazy for me recently. Thanks for watching and subscribing.

There's always Fresco's live oil or watercolor brushes.
I did just get my Rebelle Pro 6 today.

@@weebobart thanks a lot mate. Cant wait for the video! :D
Thank you, that was excellent…
No worries glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching and commenting
What do you use to draw and paint with? Also, do we need a touch screen to work with Rebelle?
I use a huion kamvas pro 22 with rebelle but also with a powerful pc. Happy to help further if needed
very realistic looking, reminds me of Art Rage.
Yeah I haven't tried Art Rage for a long period of time but I hear positive things about it. i wish people would stop putting music in these types of videos, your voice alone is great.
Some people prefer it with music. Maybe I will start a poll and see what people say. Anyway thanks for watching and commenting and for the kind words.
Amazing 👌
Thanks zenarart, all the best.
