i dont understand how come you didnt use the counterargument of cancer tumors when she was claiming that a zygot is a life with full human rights. its a mass of cells reproducing as their own seperate thing connected to a body just like the zygot/later on fetus is connected to the mothers body.. they are pretty damn alive .. arent they ?
@hijklmnopreaper
A haploid cell ( sperm) does not belong to the human race. it's not even an individual unique and complete set of human DNA. it contains mo paired chromosomes. One could also argue that any individual cell from a human is also not a member of the human race. the only single cell that is part of the human race is a zygote. it is a universally unique human. it still has some developing to do... but that's just growth and time.

She called you Stephen so many times after you asked her not to, then got triggered when you teased her about her name.
I think she was arguing that destiny was making that case.
Don't dead name our girl!
Her tone the entire time was sassy, argumentative, bratty, & combative. And then when he keeps playfully jabbing at her about her name, she assumes the morally righteous indignation response as if he's the only one whose crossed this line so far lmao. 19 year olds pretending they have so much wisdom & intelligence about subjects while constantly showing their ass during a conversation is comedy gold. Thanks for your time Jubilee girl, this was at least entertaining
I don't understand why people keep pointing out to age as an explanation. This isn't just about lack of experience or wisdom or whatever. She was simply incapable of engaging with the arguments or taking her own logic to its conclusion. I was never this dumb, not at 19 or 16 for that matter.
@@FijyFilms Indeed.
@@FijyFilms Funny how that stands to reason with the people saying things are 'common sense' or that other people aren't critical thinkers, that they end up behaving exactly like this chick did here.
Let's be real though, the majority of people under the age of 20 are not going to be able to navigate the ends & outs of bodily autonomy & argue against life begins at conception, or when a gamete starts, or what point in time a zygote has begun, or any of the other facets of this conversation.
Reminder, this chick said she was r***d, & had 2 miscarriages, & still she ended up taking the anti-freedom wrong path on this issue. Her life experience is non-existent at 19 & she's barely been in the world long enough to be an authoritative opinion on the subjects she's talking about. You at 14 are no exception, & I'm not either at that age lol, that's just post hoc arrogance to say we knew enough to bring this conversation before someone like Destiny & to be able to concretely argue against him if we were in her shoes. We may be able to lean in the correct direction of it, but not to be able to argue the point in a public space from multiple perspectives when you are barely old enough to conceptualize sexual intercourse, & still going through puberty & your emotional development
@@ihsahnakerfeldt9280 It definitely depends. At around 18, or at least under 20, most people are still pretty inexperienced and kinda dumb. But of course there are exceptions. Generally you will be more wise and smarter a decade later, which is why age is pointed out here.
Well said. The moral indignation while constantly showing their ass is a solid characterization
This girl sounds like she has never been wrong about anything in her entire life, according to her.
"down syndrome is not a life limiting condition" this girl has never been inconvenienced in her life. I had a cousin with downs and my aunt and uncle basically had to reorient their entire lives to support her every day because of how limiting it was for her. @@Narcissistic_PenguinI agree I think she's smart, honestly you can't really be dumb and intentionally argue in bad faith. To argue in bad faith you have to be conscious that the argument isn't a fair point. If you are ignorant of the issue with your argument I'd say that's not bad faith. She's aware when she does it.
@@Narcissistic_Penguinand also yeah even if destiny really changed her mind she couldn't admit it, which is debating these kinds of people with their backs against the wall serves no purpose other than to show others the fallacy in their argument. You'll never change their mind, but you can show others why.
She’s never going to win a debate if she can’t control herself from sounding condescending and like a spoiled brat. She could have the best point on an issue but no one will care because she sounds like she does when talking to someone she disagrees with .
I thought this was more fitting for Density 😅
She's super young, but has some delusion that she has been "doing this for a long time". She's gonna look back on that and cringe someday. I guarantee it.

Yeah but mold isn’t human. I am so tired of both sides giving the most braindead strawmen
@@nathanhargenrader645@nathanhargenrader645 I saw another one of your comments dude; either you're not following the conversation, or you're using the term strawman incorrectly. It isn't a strawman because (using this comment as an example) the commenter addresses a subconcept *beneath* the debated concept. This is what Destiny attempts to do in the video. You'll notice that from the asserted claim he keeps digging further and further down to the fundamentals. Mold isn't being compared to human life because it's necessarily been asserted that all life is equal; the comparison is to attack the foundation of the "human life is valuable" argument. How does it do so? It defeats the notion that life itself is valuable, which then leaves the human aspect of human life. What makes this human aspect valuable? The 'correct' answer is the human conscious experience. See how working from the bottommost fundamentals we can now start to make our way up?
@@nathanhargenrader645it’s not about it being “human” it’s about the fact that a fetus being a living thing isn’t a justification for forcing women to keep a pregnancy they no longer wish to continue.
@@Chikitew then why bother bringing up the fact if it doesn’t matter?
@@nathanhargenrader645 because… it’s a fact that a fetus is alive? And anti abortionists will misconstrue pro abortionist arguments and say we don’t think a fetus is alive. Meanwhile the real argument is that, in the pro abortion worldview, it doesn’t matter that the fetus is alive, what matters is if the woman consents to carrying it.
Consciousness being one of the hardest philosophical and scientific thing to quantify and a 19 year old girl who tweets for a living actually says its pretty easy to define was peak content.
Followed by not actually properly defining it.
@@fuzz4173 I mean that part was a given.
You're expecting a woman to be rational?

Shes too stupid to understand that when shes wrong its more than what she explained. a formidable argument could be made that defining consciousness is the most difficult philosophical pursuit known to man, yet this is the second time someone opposite destiny swears it’s so simple.
also, the fact that she couldn’t connect the dots between why destiny was asking about consciousness (as it relates to life/death) and abortion was also quite telling. i mean the irony attached to her asking if they can relate things to abortion was unreal (1:00:45 ish)

You could definitely argue about negligent manslaughter for this.
Preexisting knowledge of the risks resulting in a "child's" death? Yup, negligent manslaughter. If you consider a human child from conception, then any risky behavior afterwards that may result in a miscarriage or harm to the child should also be coming down on you for negligence right?

there is a difference between a fetus dying by an act of nature and dying by human intervention. Im not advocating the stance but its worth pointing out thats not an instantly hypocritical stance
Humans are a part of nature, therefore an abortion performed by a human is an act of nature.
@@Ryanfinder226 Yes, but the point was that some of these deaths are preventable (no alcohol, no physical stress and smth else), yet an idea of limiting women's autonomy in order to save human life from miscarriage seems ludicrous, as opposed to the abortion case. That is not even moving any goalpost, we are still considering the same presupposition, that fetus is a living being with human rights from the moment of conception. Yet somehow in one case they have a strong stance and dismiss the other.
I’m just saying that if you kill a pregnant woman you catch a double homicide accusation.

In the "if you are wrong versus if i am wrong" - Her response it completely childish. She made the point of showing the consequences of Destiny's point of view if he was wrong, but didn't acknowledge a single thing that would be a consequence of her point of view, which would be many women being forced to become mothers that don't want to, that had the chance when it wasn't a conscious human therefor not at the stage where they are a person. What she said was "oh well I still saved people." No she would have forced 100,000's of people to become parents when they didn't want to.
You saying "it's still human life." is proof that you are not even understanding the point being made, because in that situation she would be wrong. Thats how the question is approached. The context is she is wrong and she couldn't even acknowledge that in the mind set that "you are wrong so whats the bad that happened"

It's wild how much leeway and respect she demands given that she is incapable of ingaging in good faith debate. Every word she speaks is just saturated with condescension and moral superiority. It's not even that she doesn't know how to debate, she just doesn't seem to respect anyone that doesn't hold her exact beliefs. Like Steven said, she thinks she holds all the aswers to life's difficult questions, but isn't willing to state them.
I usually understand it as they dont think we should be allowed to make the difficult decisions because we COULD be wrong. And their wrong comes purely from religion.
She also doesn't know how to debate
@@-47-expected from a female
If kids/young adults were polled I would think most of them would label their opposing political party as "bad people". Progressives are all baby killers and conservatives are all racist pigs, and calling yourself either automatically aligns you with all the worst and far out positions of each party; there's very much a lack of grey area, it's all black and white.
(correct spelling is engaging, honest suggestion, not shitting on you 🙂)
To be honest, Destiny was immature and disrespectful here.
Bro it’s insane how the last 45 minutes of the convo it almost seems as if destiny was the one trying to defend babies from dying while she was the one advocating for it lmao.
The final part of this debate is wild. Conservatives demand that people on the left should understand the right's positions. But what about the other side, why is it that we don't deserve the same amount of charity from them. Btw a young person's perspective on anything is going to be shallow, but this girl was on another level.
You know it's going to be good when the debate opponent starts it off with saying "I am a professional Tweeter" 😂

I think her personal experience with her miscarriages is an emotional event that’s not allowing her to consider the possibility that negligence can lead to 25% of baby deaths.

Funny how as soon as Steven calls a miscarriage a baby death she immediately has an objection with that description.
@@ChristianToth-uv1nvMaking that value judgement relies on arguments made for why it's good or bad. How tf do you think we come to conclusions about things like this?
Sure, it doesn't make a difference in trying to come up with some objective truth about the morality of an act; but discussions and arguments on why abortion is bad or good is everything a value judgement relies on. You're never gonna run into a scenario where a society's value judgement wildly differs from the majority opinion on whether it's good or bad, like a country that legalizes rape even though everyone there says it's wrong.

Aeolla: "Its Hewbrew"
Destiney: "ok..."
I don't know why i burst out laughing at that but it was just a funny moment lol.
The most frustrating debates are the ones where the person just cannot understand an analogy. They don't treat it as an analogy, they dont seem to recognize it is one, and they can't then apply that analogy (if analgous) to their thinking. This debate is incredibly frustrating.
"abortion and human life is not philosophical"
Her brain's not done developing yet. She doesn't strike me as unintelligent, but her total lack of abstract thought processes is telling.
Exactly! That and where they cannot understand hypotheticals!
It’s not because they’re incapable, it’s because they’re unwilling to engage with an analogy that they know will disprove their argument.
I kept thinking to myself, "How does she not get this is an analogy and he's not actually arguing for forcing pregnant women to stay in hospitals?"

After consistently and repeatedly calling you Destiny Stephen like a diss appointed mother, even when you asked her to stop doing it, the thing that finally broke her was you not addressing her politely. Neat. Very reasonable.
He did that from the very start and continued it in childish fashion throughout the entire video.
Her calling him Steven was retaliation/exasperation ftom his own abusive condescending tones and tactics.
I love how every time she acts like she has an answer for something he pushes her on it and she doesn't answer.
It was terrifying when she said "steven, steven, steven. It gave me chills down my spine.

Brother that happened 2 seconds after I read this.
narcissist convo tactic
how many times she gonna ask the same question and get the same answer but keeps asking it
Maybe these things would go smoother for destiny if he specified where his argument was heading early on. I think you could just say “hey, if we define life as beginning at conception then preventable miscarriages are a form of preventable child death, shouldn’t we treat this as seriously as we would any other form of preventable child death? “ I’d like to see her response to that even if she doesn’t see how it would relate to someone’s views on abortions.
Painfully cringe when she pretends not to know who Destiny is, and gets immediately called out. 🤢
I love when Destiny argues from a "pro"life side against "pro"lifers. It makes them lose their mind. 😂
Because hes taking it to the absolute ridiculous extremes. It would make everyone lose their minds. Saying women who are pregnant to be locked into a hospital to prevent an accidental miscarriage is akin to piers morgan saying hes a black lesbian penguin.
@@sy-cho_boy1238but that’s not the point. If a fetus is equal to a baby, then a lot of miscarriages can be labeled as “child neglect”. The main point is to say that even pro lifers don’t ACTUALLY think a fetus is equivalent to a baby. If 20% of babies die in the first year of their life for whatever reason, we’d obviously we very invested in stopping it.
@@sy-cho_boy1238 but women who have multiple miscarriages continue to try to conceive…shouldn’t they stop trying instead of bringing children into a hostile environment? If I brought my born children into an environment I knew could get them killed, you’d say I was reckless or a bad parent. If you shoot and kill someone accidentally, even if you didn’t see them there, you could still be charged with involuntary manslaughter or some other type of homicide . If you think it’s preposterous to apply this rule to pregnancy and miscarriages, it’s because you don’t think embryos have the same value as born people. That’s the point destiny is getting at.
@@sy-cho_boy1238 if I hold a position that I care about life and life starts at conception and then say yeah whatever women can drink if they are one week pregnant then I do not hold the position of life being valuable. It's not that hard to get. And it's not extreme.
@@smchp2007 fair point, cant really argue with that too much.
I love when they bring up how abortions are ripping babies limb from limb .. that happens bc anti-abortion people forced the people to perform it like that so the mothers wouldn't have anything to morn. Most abortions performed like that are people who wanted their child and had something go very very wrong.
I think we finally hit the nail in the coffin when it comes to abortion debates. If you are not willing to take every necessary step to stop the 20% preventable misscarriages from happening, you don't actually believe a 2 week old fetus is a living human being.
It's really that simple sadly
Exactly
Oh right, like how not taking every necessary step to not die of obesity related illness means that you’re not a human.

In her own logic she is a murderer. If you follow the anti-abortion/“pro life” logic to its natural conclusion, spontaneous abortions (miscarriages) can be considered manslaughter, and that logic is being literally carried out in the legal system in multiple states.

Towards the very end she said that after she had her misscarriage from sexual assault she ended up with her position. How does that work? I expect someone who got raped and got pregrant to be like "yikers, time to abort" and not land on the exact opposite position?
@pandaro3622 very odd when women advocate to be incubators for their rapists babies... in reality, I think most of them would feel differently when it comes to them in regards to cases of rape. I like how literally 1 minute after she said defining consciousness was easy she completely backed out and redirected the question back at destiny because she realised she couldnt do it.
She wants to be able to invoke “eugenics” for the purpose of morally-loading and weaponizing statements, but then when pressed on it she immediately becomes frustrated when she has to talk about eugenics as if Destiny is unfairly forcing the conversation away from “what they really came to talk about”.
She simultaneously claims that she has a ton of experience doing pro-life activism and is even a paid professional on the topic while also repeatedly pretending to not understand how defining consciousness, determining the beginning and end points of life, eugenics, etc. are related to the heart of abortion philosophy. “I don’t understand what this has to do with abortion, I came here to talk about abortion.
