    Hello there, where should we put the wires of the capacitive proximity sensor and inductive proximity sensor? The object passes through both an inductive sensor and a capacitive sensor, and it will detect plastic only.

      As long as the same voltage than You can use as the same wiring and link out put together as well

    Have same project but use capacitive proximity sensor. It said it needs 24 volts for it to sense plastic. If i connect it to arduino, is it possible to burn the Arduino? So i should use resistor about 100 ohms since sensor capacity is 300mA

      You can use this wiring connection its safe because 24v to supply is only for Sensor but you can not supply 24v to Arduino just use separate power supply or dc to dc step down converter for Arduino

    is the sensor compatible with Raspberry pi 4? Also it's challenging for me to differentiate inductive and capacitive proximity sensors. can you advice, please? I want to detect metallic and plastic objects for my project.

      Yes, this sensor is compatible with both raspberry and Arduino.Inductive is only detect metal and capacitive proximity is for both metal and plastic,

    Can I ask what type of power supply can I use to supply the power in capacitive proximity sensor that have a 6-36 VDC, can I use charger like charger of laptop or other charger that has a 12 V

      Yes you can use laptop charger or anything between 6-36vdc

      You don't need anything components,you just need 12VDC 2 Amp power supply or use your laptop charger, just make sure to connect positive and negative wire correctly to sensor is fine

    how can connect 12V to arduino not burn input, normal used optocoupler keep high volt out of arduino 5 volt pin, and not use resistor limit sensor input current burn input port,

      Arduino can be power 5-12vdc via DC jack or Vcc In , it's safe because it's has automatic Requlator in on board.so wouldn't burn it.

      @@passiontechklm ok,thanks i not know thats before i think can only 5V make input, and orden today morning optocoupler module 12-24 volt in and 5V out module to arduino 0,68$/pcs. i build arduino nano board spindle RPM gauge promixity sensor sense spindle chuck tricker and nano show oled display spindle speed my cnc machine.

      Yes, you can use directly to DC jack.

    I tried it and it work. However, i tested it again later just to make sure and the servo motor is not spinning. But when i take off the d5 and d4 pin the servo motor spins a bit. Any solution to this?

      This happen when Servo currently is not enough from Arduino output voltage so I suggest you give extra 5vdc to Servo motor it will solve.

      You can use exactly this method because I am use 6-36vdc inductive proximity sensor so I use 12vdc power supply here

    Hello! I connected the sensor to a 9V battery on the breadboard and it works but the servo keeps twitching and it rotates even if the sensor is not detecting anything.

      Maybe your Servo error,to be sure you can try just only Servo first so that you can identify the Servo error or not.otherwire you need to edit the code of Servo singnal pin.

      set the delay to a higher value, also the sensor might not be able to get the sufficient voltage. check your sensor's specifications

    sensor output is directly connected to arduino GFIP pin, it can burn arduino. can you share a practical circuit diagram like with opto coupler etc etc using internal PULLUP resistor ???

      It's safe .... won't burn Arduino Uno.Becaus it's just transformers the signal only which will make Arduino High or Low

But I have a problem, if I try to detect the plastic using capacitive sensor the servo motor doesn't move but if it doesn't detect anything it just move. Can you please help me with this?       Actually you dont have to change anything from this code.You can direct use it for that project.Just follow Step by step it will no issue. If not just check your wire because some time bad wire can cause unstable signal.

      @@ourbunnyjaeminie9745 i not has used capasitive sensor but i think have analog value output and need make code read analog pin and test what value detect different materials and add code this value trick output to do something, code read analog value and serialprint value to arduino serial display first.

      @@savagedragon283 As i mention in above the sensor voltage is always important for safety. Second is the sensor need to be 3 wire mean 2 for positive and negative 1 for Signal out put.It will work perfectly

      simple need relay run conveyor belt motor, on/off. and code only need digitalwrite, pin number output to relay, high or low, code need only if sensor high write output high,

      You can apply this code to detect plastic or other objects but you need to change the sensor which is call capacitive proximity sensor.

      That is just pvc press type connector you can use any connector
