I was in Austin when they broke out. Great band, drew huge at live shows. Austin 84-87 was great! I was so lucky to be there then. I saw Zeitgeist, later named the Reivers only twice. Incredible live act--harmonies like you could not believe. Hope they are well and happy today. I have the first album and their tape. Glad they came along, they were one of the bands that helped Austin gain national attention and grow commercially in the music industry. SXSW owes them a lot.
I saw The Reivers about 20 times in Austin, usually at Liberty Lunch. They deserved way better attention. They were extremely talented and put on amazing live acts. This song is a real piece of art. A start every day with it. (irony intended)
@citers0504 The Reivers are back together, but are now called Right or Happy. They are working on new material in the studio, but it's not released yet. Keep tabs on the Facebook page for Right or Happy.
Yes, it was. I had it on vinyl, originally. It was very difficult to track down in CD form (though not as hard as "End of the Day), but I eventually scored a copy. Best song is "Freight Train Rain."
VERY GOODDDDDDD .... THIS SONG IS TOO MUCH BEAUTIFUL ..... GREAT AUSTRALIAN GROUP AND , IN THE SAME ALBUM , THERE IS ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SONG AND THE TITLE IS "IT'S ABOUT TIME" ..... I' VE JUST PUBLISHED THIS SONG ON youtube ..... BYE BYE AND THANKS TO HAVE PUBLISHED THIS SONG ;) :-bd

I saw them 84-87 for most their live shows in Austin.
Sad Secretariat didnt get used in Bojack Horseman.
outstanding music...i've never lost my crush on this band.
Love this album. Any way you could upload the whole thing? I have tried to buy it but can’t find it anywhere.
Croslin and Longacre were magic together.
bitnola indeed
One of my favorite bands of all time...I still come back to this music when I'm looking for home
Holy shit this is great. How did these guys not break out nationally?

"End of the Day" is a great song, and one of my all-time favorite albums.
"I get up and check the kids, I get up and bar the door....." they don't write em like that anymore.
I saw them in Columbia, SC and later in the week at Jacksonville Beach, FL. Got to meet and talk a bit with Cindy Toth. GREAT bunch of folks!
I saw the Reivers at a bar in Bloomington, IN in 1985 I think - following the great "Saturday" album
I liked that first album they did when they were called "Zeitgeist". Think it was called "Translate Slowly."
One of the bands I miss. The Reivers were excellent. Nothing they put out was disappointing. All was worth listening to more than once.

Saw this band in Columbia SC in 1988. Incredible.

The female voice is great, the male voice is hurting the band.
i hope they make a full recovery! perhaps consider donating.
The dude's voice is boss as hell. The secret sauce to this band.
I got one of their records today.
