What do you do for a living?
    RUclips.
So, did you get a job?
    Nope 🙅
    Still doing that RUclips thing?
    Yes.
"He must be lazy! Seating at home watching all those videos on RUclips"

Unsupportive family members is something I did face when I started, something I still kind of face till this day. You have to do what you love, find your passion and stick to it regardless if family will not support. Show them your passion and they might come around.

Going outside the box is tough. We're experiencing this now with starting sailing full-time sailing as complete beginners. But I think the fact that our family can see our learning through our videos helps.

My family was unsupportive at first and once I started getting some traction they started to see where I was coming from. Sometimes people who arent as special in understanding your point of voice will be unsupportive and it's not their fault that they don't always see things through your perspective. Be patient with others.

*Don't try to do it all* - this was advice I needed to hear. I just finished reading RUclips Secrets, and it helped me realise that there are people around who can help make your life a little easier, especially whilst juggling a full time job, other related side projects and managing a household.
I have a friend who's fully invested in my channel taking off, and she looooves the fun bits of video editing that I'm not so good at, so I've asked her to help me push my next video over the line finish line 🎥🏃‍♀️
Ask for help, and if you're able to truly demonstrate your passion for your project, people will want to lend a hand because they're invested in you (until you're able to outsource and hire people).

I had a friend that’s not a friend anymore. He said that my RUclips channel was next to none. He screamed at me that day but he blew up on me for a number of things that wasn’t any of his business. So I know how it feels when friends and family don’t understand your RUclips goals.

That has been hard for me with the family thing. I've had family say I don't understand what you're doing or why. There is no money coming yet because I'm early in the process and they are like if it isn't making you money then it doesn't make sense. It makes sense to me that the work and passion and making the mistakes to get better content and more appealing videos takes time and effort and discipline. Thanks for sharing. This helps me to rethink and refocus to continue pursuing my passion. I still have to work a "real job" but I'm going to continue pushing. Great video! - Mac

I can understand where you guys are coming from. My wife is also Filipina and her family is Catholic as well. My father-in-law is a traditional businessman who has done well for himself & his family over the years. While I respect him greatly & consider myself most fortunate to be able to tap into his wealth of experience/intellect in most situations, he doesn't quite understand the new frontier that is social media. Lately, I've been thinking about quitting my "9 to 5" to fully devote my time & energy to building my business/brand. However, my wife completely freaks out any time I mention it for fear of what her father would think/say.

Judy, please continue vlogging as long as you want, but don't show your beautiful girls to the whole wide world. All of them were filmed since the day they were born, & your youngest is beginning to show the effects of being exposed to the camera. I notice she displays a startled look whenever she sees the camera. The girls are reaching an age where privacy is of utmost importance, especially amongst their peers. I know you are such a caring Mom & have the welfare of your girls at heart.

Does anyone else start shaking on the inside thinking about people watching your videos and judging you?!
My mind is prepared totally for words then I have a full involuntary freakout reaction.
I'm trying really hard to not be boring making educational shorts... but surely I could help at least one person who needs to crunch for an exam or win a debate in style lol! So why not?
    Good luck future creators!
*Please recommend your channel, or other small creators about politics/government/education/other cool stuff to sub to*
