A crowd without any phones. Actually enjoying the music and only one person recording. The camera man. A crowd without phones a thing we will never see again.
Dave Grohl The only thing that you could do on a cell phone in '99 was talk and play the game Snake. So what would they even do if they had phones? Haha.
This clip is from Big Day Out 1999 in Australia, I was only 15 at the time and was getting crushed in the moshpit but it was still the best thing in the world at the time. All these years later and the song still rocks hard, people can joke about Korn being simplistic nu-metal blah blah, but they really connected with us in that post-grunge generation. Great album opener!
Rickey Ryan - I like what you said. I run a little fan account on IG and Munky follows it. I feel the same way about KoRn, it's a shame people can't see how unique, original, innovative and clever these guys were, especially what Munky and Head did.. once in a life time.
Man I wish I was there. I remember downloading these big day out videos from some bootleg site back then. This performance had the best sound. I was a teenager at the time and it took me literally all night to download the set. Slow internet back then, good times though 👍
I miss David in Korn! He was a funky and groovy drummer and had a tremendous amount of energy both of which Ray lacks! Don't get me wrong, Ray is a fantastic drummer and Korns most recent album is fantastic but Ray is great in his own way. Notice when he plays old Korn material he butchers it with unnecessary fills and when he doesn't put in those fills, his energy doesn't come close to Davids and I know David is doing his own thing now but the truth of the matter is he is kinda what Korn needs and he even said himself that their new stuff isn't funky and groovy like the original Korn.
I think the new drummer is awful. I don't even enjoy these songs live with him and that takes a lot as most of these songs are burned into my soul. He is boring and does not work. Just my opinion.
Greatest band ever, I finally got to see a concert last week.. The fans were wild , the music was great, everyone should see them live, it was the best experience ever
Definately best Korn era. David Silveria era. When I was in highschool I've ended up every evening with my knees swollen and red from banging them with paintbrushes listening to Follow the Leader and Korn self titled album.
when I first started picking out my own music instead of relying on the radio or what my ma had, this was one of my top faves - and it still is!!! I love KoRn!!!
This has to be one of the most electric KoRn performances from back in the day. Korn was literally on top of planet Earth 🌏. It was Metallica in the early 90's, KoRn in the late 90's. Such an amazing band, with an amazing story. Watching when 2024 is almost over, these guys still go hard. KoRn for life.
Nicole M. Me too. I wish I knew of a new band that had this much energy these guy plus look up live show Rage in the 90s. I think it was Head that said Rage was their favorite band to see live.
"Now see it's my fault, angels stabbing me inside. Nothing changes, just rearranges, for me this time." Listening to Korn brings back good childhood memories :)
JD looks like he's about ready to fuck someone up. Then when the song starts, he goes FUCKING INSANE. I love it! I wish concerts were still this intense.
What a way to come out a just kickass!!! Best band of all time!! I met Jonathan at Whole Foods and he was the nicest guy ever!! I was shaking the entire time ❤️ we talked about Organic Turkeys for Thanksgiving haha 🦃
I love how original this band was back in the late 90's early 2000. This performance was so crazy.....I like how the band made a beat a rythm to head bang and jump to. I remember the first song I heard from korn, it was Falling away from me. After I heard about this band......I couldn't get enough of them. Now days.....I still listen to korn. Even now with the new stuff they came out with. Still a fan of the band even without the five original band members.
Sitting in the office and headbanging like I was when this first came out... I was 13 years old and had just discovered Slipknot the year before.. knew of Korn back in 96 but really didn't catch on until 98 or so... God there was so much b.s. music at the time, and Korn. Slipknot Manson Eminem and RATM were my saviors .... I need a time machine damn it
Been a fan since 97 and I never seen this. The uno concert performance of this song is amazing but this one with the baby there is just amazing. LOVED THE CHROMED OUT BIKES.
'99 was almost 20 years ago, fuckin crazy! I remember riding up to a music store to buy this album cus the store had a midnight sale for it lol good times!
wow wow wow......how professional and perfect live......they were so young and amazing.......this band changed everything......brought metal to where is never been before......melody anger sadness darkness joy death life....everything was around the 90s....and i was deeply part of it, whoever never understood the band was just still scared of life!
Risky Canadian I grew up with album in 1999 they were so good I never seen live but life if preacher is my fav song I use to dance to this album all the time back in day.
Save some for me, it's what I like. I wanna play, you know it's time. Something is calling, I can't keep from falling. Come on! It's on! You'll see it's my fault, angels stabbing me inside. Nothing changes, just rearranges, for me this time. Once I give in, what can I fight? I can never win, my self I don't like, I don't like, I don't like, I don't like. Something is calling, I can't keep from falling. Come on! It's on! You'll see it's my fault, angels stabbing me inside. Nothing changes, just rearranges, for me this time. This time. This, time. Pull me inside. Put me inside. Hold me this time. Put me inside. Come on! It's on! Come on! It's on! Come on! It's on! Come on! Come on! IT'S ON!
man first time i got drunk i was listening this song in my discman while walking home and i was playing air bass guitar and people was looking at me like WTF lololol
Makes me remember the first time i saw these guys. Family value tour in Indianapolis. suffered a broken nose due to a douche in a pit throwin fists, but its one broken bone i would relive again and again!!
Anyone else going on a old school KoRn binge watching these old videos?
always mate.. check out m,y channel i have some great KoRn videos saved into a folder
fuck yes
2017
Shawn Taylor - I run a korn fan account and Munky follows it,so yeah, good old korn
Shawn Taylor always
You have to cause no band and I mean no band in the mid 90s made crowds move like korn
This is always the best song to start off a show from Korn
This and blind
And blind ! Are you ready!!!!!!!!!!!!
True
What😂
@curtisstorer5351 wtf are you saying "what " about ???
A crowd without any phones. Actually enjoying the music and only one person recording. The camera man. A crowd without phones a thing we will never see again.
Ä
Dave Grohl The only thing that you could do on a cell phone in '99 was talk and play the game Snake. So what would they even do if they had phones? Haha.
Deep
In 30 years you wont see phones - people will have contact lenses which record your entire life. .... not sure that's better though...
A crowd is a thing we may never see again..
This clip is from Big Day Out 1999 in Australia, I was only 15 at the time and was getting crushed in the moshpit but it was still the best thing in the world at the time. There is nothing Simplistic about KORN, they prob at the most unqic band in my lifetime and im 40...
Rickey Ryan - I like what you said. I run a little fan account on IG and Munky follows it. I feel the same way about KoRn, it's a shame people can't see how unique, original, innovative and clever these guys were, especially what Munky and Head did.. once in a life time.

Rickey Ryan yes there is. But no one sounds like them.
@@rickeyryan303 they are the literal opposite of that. One of the most unique and heavy bands ever to do it. People are full of shit and clueless.
One of their best songs. All these years later still gives me goose bumps. K, now back to my corporate job.
I love how they all jump together. That's like the best thing about Korn when in videos and on stage...wherever. They're good at it. Haha.
Dave Silveria - hitting LIKE A BEAST!!!!
he contributed creating that Korn groove.
David hitting them drums like they owe him money
Great drummer if I was a drummer he would be my biggest inspiration
AnotherMaggot right he’s what gave korn that pop in their drums
@@monstercdog24 damn JD is arogant dude instead putting beef and grudge aside they should reconcile with david man.
AnotherMaggot I thought David stopped because he injured his wrists? I didn’t know him and JD had beef
JD = Money guy.
this was korn at their peak.. i was at the BDO in Melbourne '99, and still to this day, Korns set is the most memorable live show i have ever seen
I saw them in Adelaide, had my first crowd sur. JD was my high school crush.
Same, their pit was insane, the surge had me tilted over 45 degrees over. It's a miracle no one was hurt, these guys and soulfly were awesome.
I miss David in Korn! He was a funky and groovy drummer and had a tremendous amount of energy both of which Ray lacks! Don't get me wrong, Ray is a fantastic drummer and Korns most recent album is fantastic but Ray is great in his own way. And that groove was something that made them so special and unique many years ago. They lost it forever. Old KoRn is the best!
Brandon Tucciarone spot on! Well said!
True that. David went with a straight up disco beat in Got the Life FFS.
I think the new drummer is awful. I don't even enjoy these songs live with him and that takes a lot as most of these songs are burned into my soul. He is boring and does not work. Just my opinion.
@@chromegnats Ray is good just overplays. Thats my main problem
this has to be the baddest ASS opening to a song!!! been listening to this song the FIRST DAY it came out in 98' and still aint gettin old
right on dude
2014 and Follow The Leader is STILL their best album.
This video gives me goosebumps. They walk out all nonchalant and then all hell breaks loose.
I'm 65 been listening to Korn from the get go. They have so many great songs just awesome!
i started getting goosebumps as soon as david started drumming and troughout the rest of the video, awesome performance
This song live back then hit HARD
i love the band korn, have all their albums brings back memories on my trip to new zealand all those years ago
when I first started picking out my own music instead of relying on the radio or what my ma had, this was one of my top faves - and it still is!!!
I love KoRn!!!
Love the intro, the bass, the 2 guitars and the voice! everything fits together so well here...
This has to be one of the most electric KoRn performances from back in the day. Korn was literally on top of planet Earth 🌏. It was Metallica in the early 90's, KoRn in the late 90's. I miss this fucking energy
Nicole M. Well that's what age does to you. Plus the drugs and alcohol took a toll.
oh yeah i know all of that trust me...just got super nostalgic :)
Nicole M. Me too. I wish I knew of a new band that had this much energy these guy plus look up live show Rage in the 90s. I think it was Head that said Rage was their favorite band to see live.
nicole i think we are friends on fb lmao
+Anthony Haller Gojira is one hell of a band to see live. Lots of energy !!!
I'd like to take a minute to appreciate the quality of sound of this video. It's probably on of the best sounding live Korn clips on YT.
RatSitnov tushay well articulated
"Now see it's my fault, angels stabbing me inside.
Nothing changes, just rearranges, for me this time."
Listening to Korn brings back good childhood memories :)
16 years ago, holly shit we are old
Did you get married and have kids? 16 years is a lot
It's been eighteen years this comment is old enough to drink in most countries
18 years ago holy shit
oh man its uploaded 2006. this video deserves from youtube an award :)
old school, old korn, now..... how many memories!!!
Damn I remember watching this on Kazaa like 100 years ago lol
how fortunate I am to have went to many shows back then...Originators and Innovators
JD looks like he's about ready to fuck someone up. Then when the song starts, he goes FUCKING INSANE. I love it! I wish concerts were still this intense.
They did this in Atlanta. The opener wasn’t there so they went on while the crowd wasn’t expecting it. Talk about a mad rush to the stage. So awesome.
What a way to come out a just kickass!!! Best band of all time!! I met Jonathan at Whole Foods and he was the nicest guy ever!! I was shaking the entire time ❤️ we talked about Organic Turkeys for Thanksgiving haha 🦃
dbz, ps1, and korn songs like this. that was my life as a 5th grader

I LOVE KoRn!
I had this concert on tape! and it never left my vcr! watching this again so many years later is just awesome!
00:40 "This pleases me"
Lol right
I would be to considered these guys were damn near worshipped at their commercial peak lol
240p, we meet again...
Hahahah so sad isn't it?
Still great quality Content :D
This actually looks clear for 240p... It's from February of 2006, so, not too shabby.
forever and the best!
Been a fan since 97 and I never seen this. The uno concert performance of this song is amazing but this one with the baby there is just amazing. LOVED THE CHROMED OUT BIKES.
This is probably Korn's best live performance of "Its On" David Silveria rocks. I am glad he is back with Korn.
I think the best one of its on is at the lakefront arena with ice cube on the tour with them
The energy at this show was insaaaaane
1:34 that baby is going to grow up to be a heavy metal legend listening to Korn at such a young age!
that baby at 1:34 knows how to party

Great song !!!
Jonathan and the band at their peak !

Couldn't be more right....crowds today don't know how to headbang

The bridge in this song in this is one of their best imo... infectious.

Ich liebe auch Korn, haben sie wirklich tolle Musik. Mein Favorit ist der Bass gespielt.

korns older songs really kicked ass.
back in the day when korn were heavy and chunky as fuck
I'm 15 and I've been listening to the first three albums ever since I was 11. I find the old korn the best instead of all this dubstep shit.
I love seeing Korn live,,, they are the best!!
