Yeah but then Kamui would be male. One of the reasons people love the recent fire emblem games is because they can customize the avatar and feel like they're in the story. I wouldn't feel involved if the main character was the default Kamui.
+Buetifull Persun yes well to be fair, if they remove the ability to see a 13 years old girl almost naked, ok I dont have a problem with that. But removing slightly sexual talks is a bit over the top, since I highly doubt, that this game is played by 9 years old children.
+Loeruis Lp I'm fine with the censorship. I think taking away the skinship won't do anything majorly bad to the game, and the original support dialogue that they changed wasn't that well written imo. But you know, I think it would be a good idea to release it as free dlc.
It was no strategy mechanic to me. I was just annoyed having to go buy a new one. Artificial difficulty like that just makes the game annoying and not enjoyable.
+GrantiverusRex Dissagree completely. Items like a bronze sword? Fine, don't break. Items like a unique sword like a rapier? that should break eventually.
+Alex Chow Its not really Nintendo's fault. The Japanese singer who sung Lost in Thoughts All Alone is with a very strict agency. We lost dual audio because of a song. That's licensing for ya. We hate it and we'll continue to hate it.
Buetifull Persun I would be fine to, but that doesn't mean we should be. And I keep seeing "Nintendo only cares about money" argument showing up all the time... the only money-garbing they've done this last year I feel is only Amiibo, due to way to high demand.
+KelvinBelmont The fact is that people don't understand that the censorship was likely done not because they wanted it out, but to avoid controversy. Japanese audio had famous singers as voice actors, which might cause licensing issues and can you imagine how much the media would slam the game if My Room stayed as it is? People need to think more about why it was done rather than complain about it.
NINTENDO YOU BETTER GIVE US DUAL AUDIO AS DLC FOR FIRE EMBLEM: FATES!!!! I WOULD ALSO APPRECIATE IF YOU ADD REAL SKINSHIPPING AS DLC FOR FIRE EMBLEM: FATES!!!!!! I'M WILLING TO PAY $10 FOR SUCH A GOOD DLC!!!!!!!!!!!! NINTENDO STOP IGNORING YOUR FANS, LISTEN TO US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Kakushi 100% Truth. I can't believe...this is one of the worst outcomes do could've happened...they also probably censored the hot springs, swimsuits, suicide and much more......
+Borikuaedu3991 Nintendo won't give out cut content for free, they'll charge us if they release it as DLC...which is sad but it's better then paying 400+ for importing the Japanese one...

Ah, I see. They have marketed this quite cleverly. Those who may not be good at the game have the options of auto battle and Phoenix mode. Something I personally will not play with, but good for those who are looking for gameplay without challenge or if they're new to these type of games.
They didn't even censor that much. And people are whining about having less content, THE GAME'S FILE SIZE IS BIGGER THAN THE JAPANESE VERSION. The only thing they screwed up is the lack of dual audio, and that's a minor thing.
+Alan Brown Yep. Everything else is looking good, petting or no petting. And seriously, Dual Audio? Again, who needs this stuff when you have everything else? -My Castle -Choices -Everything, pretty much
Amelia Hartman Plot twist: I'm going to be a female avatar and I will make her marry Suzukaze/Kaze. XD I will never get to pet him either, but as long as the hats aren't removed, I won't bother.
Phoenix mode? auto battles? I mean sure, it's good for newcomers, but cmon... If your units don't even stay dead in the mission, what is the point? It's auto-win. I'm pretty sure people can deal with some difficulty, nintendo. You don't need to baby them.

+PikaLOLHD People were originally afraid a huge bit of content within a minigame was pulled from the game. It turns out that Nintendo still removed the minigame, but preserved most of the important content (in-game benefits, dialog, and Live2D models). It's still annoying they removed something, but what they removed is so minuscule it hardly even matters. I could understand people's anger before we finally got to see what was actually removed, but at this point if anyone's still angry, they're just overreacting.
+Amelia Hartman wasn't the mini-game suppose to help with you getting to S-rank with the characters? If so, they better have something to get us to S-Rank.
ZeroChaos When you go to do skinship in the English version, it shows the character on the bottom screen and they give dialog just like you were going to do skinship, but it just ends right after that and you get the same benefits as if you did skinship.
+Amelia Hartman Ah I see, ever since the mini-game was removed I thought it was going to be normal dialogue like Awakening but I guess I'm ok with this.
Everyone, do all of yourselves as a favor and quit your whining about the censors and the petting mechanic being removed! The censorship was inevitable (it could have honestly been executed better, but I'm still cool with it.) and I'm glad it ONLY the petting was removed; to be honest, the only reason I was looking forward to it originally was because I could pet Camillia, Charlotte, and Anna, but I found it a bit creepy overall. I'm looking forward to Fates being released, I just wish it came out sooner; I'm really annoyed that the review copies are coming out this early.
Perhaps I should have been more detailed about my complaint: NoA ONLY removed the petting; it has been confirmed that the Live2D models remain intact! As for the censorship, I'm cool with it as long as it isn't 4Kids-level of stupidity, like how One Piece was butchered by said company (more along the lines of Craig Ferguson's swear flags; those always make me laugh). Xenoblade X was a better example of Nintendo censorship with Lin, given her age being 13 (except the bust size editor; I wish they kept that)! Like I said, it could have been handled better, but it is what it is; as long as Nintendo doesn't take it too far, then I'm good with it. Just be glad that the whole game isn't censored!
+Blue_ Oni First off, Nintendo has and always will be a family-friendly company; that's how it's alway been, so there always going to been at least one thing censored. If Nintendo wasn't a family-friendly company, I probably wouldn't have been interested in video games in the first place. Secondly, censorship depends on a cultural perspective (dumb, yes, but still....); country A could get one thing, country B could get another, but country C might get neither depending on its culture (did you know that Thailand censors feet?). People forget that there bigger powers at play than just Nintendo when games get localized. Lastly, you need to remember that this stuff DOES NOT affect the core gameplay and story whatsoever. If it did, then this would be a completely different conversation.
MetalSonicReject " Nintendo has and always will be a family-friendly company; that's how it's alway been, so there always going to been at least one thing censored" Not if enough people oppose it and given their ever tanking profits i doubt there will be a Nintendo at all for much longer.
+MetalSonicReject Ah yes, I love the family friendly games... Like No More Heroes, Bayonetta 2, No More Heroes 2, and Mad World... my favorite family friendly games. Also, pretty sure Nintendo once had "Love hotels."
OK, it's obviously too late now, but it's worth noting that Skinship is still in the game to a degree. The dialogue is there, the support bonuses are there, there's just no touching. I mean, I dislike censorship as much as the next guy, but is there any point dragging it on when it's not half as bad as expected? This is probably the best case scenario for this kind of thing.
Yep, I love Xenoblade and I love Awakening. I think the localisations are done great and I think it's silly to miss out on such an experience because of some minor feature being cut.
+Benk3005 Here it comes: EU Version even more censored, Units can't die anymore, new option "peace" added, game auto chooses peace so you don't have to play anymore.
+Blueblade13 its sad so many people get upset over the lack of the Japanese voices, coupled with the fact that they're also depressed because they can't pet their pretty anime waifu's in a strategy RPG game.
KyvannShrike Really? I never knew that...interesting. Sorry, I just hate Day 1 DLC. I'm glad you can buy the other versions once you have one, but I don't see why Revelations can't be stand alone also.
+Stranker This is hardly "day 1 DLC". Yes, it's _technically_ being released on Day 1, but that's only because this game and its DLC have been in Japan for ages. Do you expect them to give us the DLC free just because it took them a little longer to localize the game? There is some day 1 DLC but it's going to be free. And yes, you can _technically_ buy the other paths as stand-alone, but practically you can't. They punish you for buying both games as stand-alone physical copies. You're _supposed_ to buy one physical copy and download the other two through DLC.
Amelia Hartman I get that. I'm okay with downloading the other versions by buying them as DLC. What I mean is that I want to play Revelations without buying Conquest or Birthright. I also understand that the story of Revelations makes more sense when you have the other two versions, but the other two versions really don't interest me much, while Revelations is one that I'm very interested in. Pretty much I have to pay $60 for the path I want to take rather than $40 is what I'm getting at.
Stranker Eh, revelation is more of a bonus path. To my understanding, it's not quite as complete as the first two, and it builds off of the first two. So you're complaining because you only want to play the bonus path and not the original games? I don't get it.
I literally cannot wait for this game. My hype is so bad, I get a stomach thinking I have to wait only 15 days to play this game. I want to play to so bad right now!
Alright, yes censorship sucks but every time after I finish a Nintendo game, I ask myself "did the censorship truly ruin the game for me?" and the answer is always no. The censorship is usually so small that I never even notice it during the actual gameplay. So maybe the Japanese version gets a "petting minigame" of some sort but honestly, the minigame doesn't exactly add anything to the story nor the gameplay. Besides there will still be some features from those minigames. So is a minor censorship really a justifiable reason to boycott a game? No. That's why I'm still crazy excited for this game to come out in 2 weeks.
I sure do love having content cut because someone made a tumblr post full of misinformation thank god we have game journalists who will defend that it was wrong instead of just going with it and saying the censorship is perfectly ok
+Dragonage2ftw Exactly The journalists just ran with the false narrative and then doubled down when actually translated and turned it into EWW ICKY GROSS DRUGGING instead of OMG YOU CANT CURE HER LESBIANISM despite the fact she is straight
I hate how you lose tons of in-game benefits if you buy both games as physical copies. Nintendo really needs to fix this. We shouldn't be punished for giving them _more_ money.
Amelia Hartman You'll have a physical copy, then the additional routes as data on your sd card, still accessible through that cart. You don't really need 2 right?
"NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, MY WAIFU PETTING. NINTENDON'T, YOU SUCK, I WON'T BUY ANY MORE GAMES FROM YOU IF YOU DON'T SUPPORT HENTAI". 90% of this comment section.
Nintendo? You can keep your skinship, and even the Soleil supports, but please give us dual audio, or at least a recast for the European release. I hope all the delays is so we get some stuff that NOAs team censored, to compensate.
+Corrin Fates I honestly can't believe people are still complaining about that. I found the mini game to be kind of creepy. We're still getting the dialogue, and I really don't think fe needs to be turned into soft core eroge.
Yeah, I know, but some of the reactions are EXTREMELY suggestive, honestly it's kind of awkward to get that kind of thing out of face petting, which seems like an odd concept in the first place. It's not like actual foreplay is just petting your lover's face the entire time. The whole thing just seemed... weird. Outta place, I guess.
wiiupokemon i'm not talking about revelations, if you buy Conquest, Birthright becomes available as DLC once you reach certain chapter for half the price, but you HAVE to buy it from within the game, if you go to the EShop it will appear with full price
+wiiupokemon I agree with Sir Aicos. It's definitely in your best interest to just buy one physical copy then download the other one as DLC. $80 vs $60, no bonus content vs class-changing items. Win-win!
+Jacob Andrews I'd recommend Birthright, since it's the easier one, but play Conquest afterwards. You can work your way up from easy to hard instead of dropping from hard to easy.
+Jacob Andrews Yeah, I'd recommend going Birthright, then Conquest, then Revelations. If you're just gonna play one of them, and you want difficulty, go for Conquest.
+Jacob Andrews I'd recommend Conquest, as it has better level design and objectives. Birthright is more like Awakening, with boring open fields and only one objective (Kill the boss). There is a lot more strategic depth in Conquest and it is more like Fire Emblem.
Carlos Santos The Conquest storyline is an internal conflict according to Nintendo Direct. So you will most likely still fight the king in Conquest to fix the country.
+Jacob Andrews I'm starting with Conquest, because i actually like more the Birthright characters, so i don't wan't to love them and then have to kill them in my next playthrough xD
One, it isn't censored much, two, EVERY FE game that came to the west was censored in various ways, so buying any game in the series supports censorship
+Kübel350 Um... yes it does? This is not censorship imposed by some governing body, it's self censorship and barely even that. The skinship dialogue and bonuses are still in the game, the pointless rubbing minigame was just removed. Changes like these are frequently made in consultation with the original development team, in order to make sure that their vision is conveyed in the proper way in different regions. I highly doubt there's some executive in a boardroom somewhere rubbing their hands together saying, "Americans can't handle rubbing; we're taking all their features out!" The localization team probably just informed the devs that rubbing someone's face in America is considered very intimate and has sexual connotations, which everyone agreed was not the intended purpose of those scenes. How is that some reprehensible thing worth boycotting a game over?
+Evello37 I don't see why it being "self-censorship" somehow makes it magically okay. And touching people's faces has sexual connotations in Japan as well. Why do you think they moan and say lewd things when you do it?
That's neat! I didn't expect them to pull a XCX survival guide for fates. Another decent advertising push. This narrator is probably one of the best they've hired btw.
Is it just me or is Nintedo trying their hardest with these "episodes" and commercial in order to distract people from the horrible voiceacting + lack of dual audio?
+theycallmebad I doubt it, because, to be honest, most people DON'T CARE about dual audio in the first place. By all means, its great when games have dual audio, and although I never used it I kind of wish that it was in this like it was in Awakening. But it would seem that the vast majority of players just play in the localized language, sometimes entirely unaware that there even is a dual audio option in Awakening in the first place. They wouldn't be trying to distract people from dual audio not being present when presumably most people weren't even aware of the feature in the first place and even lots of the people who were aware of it would never have used it. They wouldn't see the need. Its highly upsetting for those who wanted the Japanese voices, and I can understand your pain there, but its not going to phase the vast majority of the player-base.
+Peter Jumper +LilyLaya I can agree with some of your points; Rinkah's english voice is quite similar to her japanese one, and I was positively surprised by Saizou's. But at the end of the day, it all comes down to immersion. Bad/unfitting voices for characters will definitely break a lot of people's immersion, even if the gameplay and story are good. And that's a shame. And I'm not even talking about Felicia's infamous "WE GAHT TROUBLEH" quote. They didn't even get Owain's/Inigo's/Severa's voiceactors this time.
theycallmebad at the end of the day, it's not immersion. It's the fact that the voices don't sound like the Japanese voice actors speaking English that has everyone in a huff. I find some of the English voices to be more convincing than the Japanese (Ellie for example). If you have an issue with immersion, I think you're a rare case tbh
+LilyLaya Yeah, no. You don't know me, so drop that "it's not immersion" nonesense. I don't mind english voiceactors, as long as they fit the characters. Few of them do in this game. At the end of the day, it's going to break MY immersion in the game. And I'm certainly not alone, thank you very much. Effie/Ellie/whatever sounds like an old woman in the english version.
Hello Nintendo! I hope you see this. Please consider Dual Audio. I'll pay whatever it costs, but please. I love the Japanese audio, and, I expected it cause of FE Awakening. So, please Nintendo.
Looks like a story where no matter which side you choose, you'll likely face some rather gut-wrenching decisions to hurt someone you like, on the other side.
The added feature of Phoenix mode is nice, especially for beginners! All I've ever played was Awakening on classic mode...ugh hardest game ever since I had to keep restarting the chapter after a unit died. Worth it though.
+Arielle N You should defintely try some of the older titles if you found awakening challenging. By old ones I mean most of them but sacred stones, that game was a cake walk.
This has so much potential for an anime, dammit Nintendo get to work!
OMG YES, that would be SO perfect!
YESSSSS
Yeah but then Kamui would be male. One of the reasons people love the recent fire emblem games is because they can customize the avatar and feel like they're in the story. I wouldn't feel involved if the main character was the default Kamui.
+Marcel Saldana It basically already is at this point.
+Marcel Saldana ewww no shut up weebs
Dat narration
You're everywhere..
his voice just sooooo bass chill
+Obsidian Wasp Congratulations! You're the new Doctor Who!
+Joel Castillo
I'm a time traveler
+Obsidian Wasp HE TELEPORTED TO THE PAST OMG
anyone else still pissed of about the fact that we're only going to get the censored version of the game anyway ?
Maybe we'll get a DLC that removes censorship from the game :D !
In our dreams...
+Buetifull Persun yes well to be fair, if they remove the ability to see a 13 years old girl almost naked, ok I dont have a problem with that. But removing slightly sexual talks is a bit over the top, since I highly doubt, that this game is played by 9 years old children.
+Loerius Lp Games rated T so kids shouldn't be playing anyways
+Loeruis Lp I'm fine with the censorship. I think taking away the skinship won't do anything majorly bad to the game, and the original support dialogue that they changed wasn't that well written imo. But you know, I think it would be a good idea to release it as free dlc.
+CoraCoraNekaku No, 14 year olds and younger aren't teens, they're kids. 15-17's when you classify as an teenager.
So glad that weapons don't break in this game.
+GrantiverusRex Why? It adds strategy and a sense of management. You might as well ask for 100exp everytime you beat an enemy.
+MisterHeroman because they replaced it with something that both allows you to good weapons, yet make it MORE complex gameplay
They have stat de buffs now
It was no strategy mechanic to me. I was just annoyed having to go buy a new one. Artificial difficulty like that just makes the game annoying and not enjoyable.
+GrantiverusRex Dissagree completely. Items like a bronze sword? Fine, don't break. Items like a unique sword like a rapier? that should break eventually.
Oh gods no.......
No Dual Audio? You may as well kill me.
Nintendo, ready your body and PICK A GOD AND PRAY!!
+Alex Chow
lol, kill.
What's dual audio?
LightningSword13 switching the audio from english to japanese.
+Alex Chow Its not really Nintendo's fault. The Japanese singer who sung Lost in Thoughts All Alone is with a very strict agency. We lost dual audio because of a song. That's licensing for ya. We hate it and we'll continue to hate it.

+Buetifull Persun as free dlc please*
+GamerSap I would be fine paying $5-$10 dollars because beggars can't be choosers and Nintendo's an bunch of dastards that only care about money...
Buetifull Persun I would be fine to, but that doesn't mean we should be. And I keep seeing "Nintendo only cares about money" argument showing up all the time... the only money-garbing they've done this last year I feel is only Amiibo, due to way to high demand.
+Dimentioluc Roy DLC pls
"IF EFFICIENCY IS CORRIN'S GOAL, THAT'S WHERE AUTO BATTLE COMES IN"
HAHAHA WHAT
It seems like with every new trailer for Fates the comments always have something to complain about.
FE fan base is toxic I try to avoid it as much as possible.
TyTy007 Well the awakening people in general with the waifu petting and dual audio.
I could care less. Who wants to pet a human like you pet a Pokemon?? Also I don't understand Japanese so I don't need dual audio.
LightningSword13 Plus to me most of the japanese voice acting sound the same
+KelvinBelmont The fact is that people don't understand that the censorship was likely done not because they wanted it out, but to avoid controversy. Japanese audio had famous singers as voice actors, which might cause licensing issues and can you imagine how much the media would slam the game if My Room stayed as it is? For real tho restock the special edition.
IKR IM SOOOOOO MAD. NINTENDO PLS RESTOCK I HAVE MONEY TO GIVE
Was it really that low in supply? I was able to just walk in and purchase mine.
+Tiz Arrior really I'm so mad lol
+Tiz Arrior all the websites I go to are sold out..... How can you sell out of preorders
Caleb Roberts I honestly have no clue...but I'm super excited to play Revelations on release ^*^

+Buetifull Persun Lol ya'll weebs.
Gee, biased much? "Will you play as the innocent, peace loving Japanese people? Or as the savage, war mongering conquistadors from Europe?"
Dude, chill. It's just a game.
+Pika To be fair, both the Europeans and the Japanese have committed their fair share of atrocities.
So has everybody else.
Well, I'm European, and hate the goody two-shoes of Hoshido anyway, so I'll be going Nohr.
well, hoshido also had some actions done...
+Amelia Hartman
I know a European named Jack, he's a real savage.
>censored
>less customization options than Awakening
>day one dlc
Not to be rude, but that day one DLC is free. Plus you must not have seen fates streams, there are WAY more customizable options, some you can change even after you make you're initial avatar. Wether you hate the censorship or not, that's up to you. But I just wanted to help educate you a bit on the actual facts of the game.

+Buetifull Person no they're actually map packs

I'm surprised to see no one angrily shouting about male preferred pronounce in reference to Corrin.
Plus 3 for humanity! :>
+GroundPoundable I don't acknowledge the existence of male Corrin. My brain automatically translates all visuals of male Corrin into female Corrin.
+Amelia Hartman Female Corrin is trash
yoshifan 34567 Male Corrin is trash? I agree.
Oh, and did I mention my brain translates all hate for female Corrin as hate for male Corrin?
Amelia Hartman That's perfectly cool. I have the same effect with Male Robin being the default.
+Amelia Hartman Male Corrin is good and deserves more love compared to the stupid weeby female Corrin.
Time for the butthurt comments.
They didn't even censor that much. And people are whining about having less content, THE GAME'S FILE SIZE IS BIGGER THAN THE JAPANESE VERSION. The only thing they screwed up is the lack of dual audio, and that's a minor thing.
This video makes the game more and more epic. Who needs face-rubbing when you have this game in general?!
You'd be surprised. -_-
Still it's a breath of fresh air to see the others who are hyped regardless, like myself.
+Alan Brown Yep. Everything else is looking good, petting or no petting. And seriously, Dual Audio? Again, who needs this stuff when you have everything else?
-My Castle
-Choices
-Everything, pretty much
+larverto365 quite. So which do you intend to start with?
+Alan Brown Conquest, since that sold less than Birthright over in Japan.
+larverto365 Oh, cool. Me too, actually.
Perhaps we could exchange codes when we both get the game.
Hello I'm Sakura the best little sister someone could ever have I'm hypnotizing you choose Hoshido Hoshido Hoshido Hoshidoooooooooooo
nooooooooo
sorry still picking nohr first
NOHR NOHR NOHR Nohr Nohr n-nohr ...... I AM GETTING BOTH

Berukai ikr I live at EU too and still no release date
eh, I prefer Elise anyway
#NOHRMASTERRACE
You know what? Not only am I gonna play Birthright first, I will play *all three* games on Normal/Casual Mode. I HAVE NO SHAME. Come at me, haters.
Yeah!!!
I have so much respect for you
+Sunny Chi Thanks. I just got so sick of seeing 'hurr, if you play on Casual, you're not doing Fire Emblem right'.
Same here! There've been too many elitists/complainers in the FE community lately
+Sunny Chi I know right? I think they're just complaining for no reason, by this point. Fates looks amazing.
I'm so hyped for this game!
Same
+Hannah Rite You will never get to pet Camilla.
Amelia Hartman Plot twist: I'm going to be a female avatar and I will make her marry Suzukaze/Kaze. XD
I will never get to pet him either, but as long as the hats aren't removed, I won't bother.
Phoenix mode? auto battles?
I mean sure, it's good for newcomers, but cmon... If your units don't even stay dead in the mission, what is the point? It's auto-win.
I'm pretty sure people can deal with some difficulty, nintendo. You don't need to baby them.
Yeah I'm kinda iffy on it
+Nurse Valentine Auto battles were in Awakening as well.
It's fine. Just like in the other game, it is optional. This, in no way will hamper your enjoyment of the game.
GamingFanatic
and nobody ever used it because if you're not playing casual mode, it's a suicide mode.
+Nurse Valentine Thats why they are OPTIONS. If you dont like them turn them off and stop your bitching. It did wonders for drawing a larger crowd to Awakening when they considered Awakening to be the "Last ever fire emblem" so if it hadnt done as well as it had, well now we wouldnt be here now would we?
Phoenix mode is stupid.
+DaImmortalGamer And also restricted to Normal Mode difficulty only, at least in Japan.
Ikr
What's the point of playing when you can't lose?
Tolvan Osc'a'dragil Its basically for people who like the storyline or the character interactions (support system) or pairing features.
Basically, its a choice of playing like a traditional Fire Emblem (Classic Mode), an easy-mode Fire Emblem (Casual Mode), or an alternate "visual novel" option (Phoenix Mode).
+DaImmortalGamer Why is it stupid, you can choose
I'm glad you're doing a "XCX Survival Guide" style series with Fire Emblem Fates.
Incoming comments of people whining about the censorship.
+Arthur Tregenna Yeah man how dare people criticize the localization, which can do no wrong and is perfect in every way.
+MisterHeroman Ikr
+MisterHeroman Its actually one of the better localizations in this series, seriously FE POR ,RD, and SS Have FAR worse localizations than thisbgame.
yeah let's just censor everything. let's have a mess like Personal Revelations again.
MCProductions
Please enlighten me. I know name changes are (unfortunate) series staples, but that's it.
Partially agree, Calico.
This was fantastic! Thanks for making an awesome series!
So many haters in one fantastic game Why?
+PikaLOLHD much censorship. and they remove the petting mini game...
+MetalSonicReject (Looks at Xenoblade chronicles x having a playboy bunny outfit)
+MetalSonicReject Ah yes, I love the family friendly games... Like No More Heroes, Bayonetta 2, No More Heroes 2, and Mad World... my favorite family friendly games.
Also, pretty sure Nintendo once had "Love hotels."
I need the next episode right now! >_
I can't wait for the next episode!
+eddster1987 This.
Not to mention the minigame gets old after awhile.
EmblemBlade9 That, too.
Honestly, the narrator for this video is the perfect example for why I want dual audio.
Ah, so it's getting the Xenoblade X treatment. Approved.
+Dynablade7 Including censorship.
Kübel350 Oh shut up
+Dynablade7 umadbro?
+Dynablade7 you seem like a Xenoblade fan lol
Yep, I love Xenoblade and I love Awakening. I think the localisations are done great and I think it's silly to miss out on such an experience because of some minor feature being cut.
Holy crap this game is amazing. Phoenix mode and Pairing before battle are INSANE!
And still no UK/EU release date. The have time for this but no tome to give us a date
+Benk3005 Here it comes: EU Version even more censored, Units can't die anymore, new option "peace" added, game auto chooses peace so you don't have to play anymore.
+Benk3005 Supposedly europes release date for awakening was released a week after it was released in NA, so you probably still have a few weeks to go
MuStCoMmEnT09 Ik still unfair on us in UK though, the translation is just sitting there and we have to wait a extra two moths usually
Gamer63200 Ik, I swear marriage wont be in it
Yeah, gaming companies really hate Europe don't they.
Amazing video Nintendo!
Salt.
Salt everywhere.
Shield your eyes everyone.
"War is inevitable"
WRONG.
"War never changes."
BOOM
Oh boy, I can hear the FE fanboy cries already, that there's a casual option and auto battle.
All the special edition fire emblem ran out in hours. Bring more please!!!
Weaboos galore in this comment section. It's sad so many people put Japanese voice acting on some pedestal like it's an act of god.
*is guilty of liking japanese voice acting* i apologize on behalf of the weeaboos lmao
+Blueblade13 its sad so many people get upset over the lack of the Japanese voices, coupled with the fact that they're also depressed because they can't pet their pretty anime waifu's in a strategy RPG game.
Abigail Porcaro Indeed.
derp durp The game is in English. Naturally the voice acting should also be in English.
+Blueblade13 Oh, you have no idea how much I agree with this.
Thank you so much I loved this
Why is no one talking about how the true ending is locked behind DLC? I won't get this game until Revelations is stand alone.
+Stranker They did the same exact thing with Oracle of Ages and Seasons and nobody complained. Calm down.
MAN I'm pumped for this game!
I sure do love having content cut because someone made a tumblr post full of misinformation
thank god we have game journalists who will defend that it was wrong instead of just going with it and saying the censorship is perfectly ok
+gooble gobble That didn't happen, though.
+Dragonage2ftw
Exactly
The journalists just ran with the false narrative and then doubled down when actually translated and turned it into EWW ICKY GROSS DRUGGING instead of OMG YOU CANT CURE HER LESBIANISM despite the fact she is straight
Explain why it is creepy
no
Censorship is ruining games
gooble gobble Are you seriously stupid enough to believe that? Damned annoying idiots.
This is awesome advertising! Set up like a small TV show, I love it!
No Dual Audio
No petting game
No sales
Who else is SO FREAKING EXCITED!?!?!?!?!?!
I hate how you lose tons of in-game benefits if you buy both games as physical copies. Nintendo really needs to fix this. We shouldn't be punished for giving them _more_ money.
+Amelia Hartman They said several times to not buy both physically as you'll be able to buy the other version at a discount ingame.
Remember if you buy one version of the game you can download the other onto the same cartridge for half off
Bryanneo1 I don't care for half off! I just want physical copies of my games!
Amelia Hartman You'll have a physical copy, then the additional routes as data on your sd card, still accessible through that cart.
You don't really need 2 right?
Bryanneo1 I don't _need_ either of them. I _want_ to own my games as physical copies.
So ready for this.
#NOHRMASTERRACE
Come on Nintendo, I can only get so hyped.
Anybody have a link to the Censorship Bingo Chart? This comment section really needs it.
I can see that Fire Emblem Fates makes its debut at #1 in the Top 20 3DS eShop Charts!
"NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, MY WAIFU PETTING. NINTENDON'T, YOU SUCK, I WON'T BUY ANY MORE GAMES FROM YOU IF YOU DON'T SUPPORT HENTAI".
90% of this comment section.
+Tonyair Sanity. It makes me so happy.
14 more days Can't wait!!!
Nintendo? You can keep your skinship, and even the Soleil supports, but please give us dual audio, or at least a recast for the European release. I hope all the delays is so we get some stuff that NOAs team censored, to compensate.
+Anon0mau5 You're not getting Dual Audio. It's not necessary in an English-translated game. Get over it.
+Anon0mau5 What's odd though is our version in North America has a bigger file size...so if there is no Dual Audio what is causing that?
OriginalBloodAce Good question.
+OriginalBloodAce It could simply be that the audio files take up more space, but tyat really doesn't explain how it would be bigger.
+Anon0mau5 why are including soliel supports like its important, they been changing character personalities since Eliwood, Ike and Chrom's games
DAmn nintendo back at it again with the fire emblem
Corrin better choose to smash!
+Monado Boy (Flame Rock) I want to choose to pet waifu but NoA removed that bit.
NOA removes everything better move to japan and english dub titles
+Corrin Fates I honestly can't believe people are still complaining about that. I found the mini game to be kind of creepy. We're still getting the dialogue, and I really don't think fe needs to be turned into soft core eroge.
Meme Face It only goes around the face, you can't grope the character.
Thanks for making this videos, you got me hyped with Xenoblade Chronicles X becuase of this ;)
I already preordered both but not in bundle I only got it separately because the bundle was sold out #ripfefbundle
+wiiupokemon why? it's better to buy one and the other as DLC for Half the price
+Sir Aicos I only wanted both but I'll get revelation later
wiiupokemon i'm not talking about revelations, if you buy Conquest, Birthright becomes available as DLC once you reach certain chapter for half the price, but you HAVE to buy it from within the game, if you go to the EShop it will appear with full price
+wiiupokemon I agree with Sir Aicos. It's definitely in your best interest to just buy one physical copy then download the other one as DLC. $80 vs $60, no bonus content vs class-changing items. Win-win!
+Sunny Chi ok but my mom already preordered to physical copy that i wanted
Sooo excited to pick up my copy of FEF:C tomorrow!!! 😄
Oh boy these comments
They salt my popcorn
Cannot wait for this game!
ok so I was going to get Conquest, but based on the intro in this video I'm thinking of getting birthright now. Which one is everyone else getting?
I can't wait to play this game
>/v/irgins and weeaboos this salty about not being able to pet their preshus pixels
tbh you guys are what's killing video games
+clover Oh my god, sane people do exist.
oh boy, I can't wait for the game
Not buying this unless it gets uncensored. Sorry Nintendo.
One, it isn't censored much, two, EVERY FE game that came to the west was censored in various ways, so buying any game in the series supports censorship
+MCProductions "it isn't censored much" Censorship is censorship. The amount doesn't matter.
+Evello37 Thank you. Thank you so much
+Evello37 I don't see why it being "self-censorship" somehow makes it magically okay.
And touching people's faces has sexual connotations in Japan as well. Why do you think they moan and say lewd things when you do it?
Love this so much, I can't wait.
WHEN IS THE EU RELEASE. TELL ME. I HAVE TO KNOW. IF IT'S REALLY LONG THEN DON'T. BECAUSE I'LL KILL MYSELF FROM IMPATIENCE.
***** "It.. does not work like that. I may not use the powers of Naga only to take part in a battle which has not yet even happened."
***** Eh, I think I'll pass on the special edition since it's claimed to be so hard to get.
***** 'U-uh.. That is none of your business! I have my free days off when I'm not fighting bandits aswell!'
***** Eh.. I would prefer to leave it at that. See ya.
You can order the NA copy
That's neat! I didn't expect them to pull a XCX survival guide for fates. Another decent advertising push. This narrator is probably one of the best they've hired btw.
Less contend ? should call this Fire Emblem Less
That joke is getting old now....
Chibi Geek
fresh
+Valwin “Valwinmega” Mediaz fresh? I don't understand.
Phoenix mode + Auto mode = Beating levels without even playing the game.
+LeoKingdom69 You still have to pick the moves before clicking Auto.
Is it just me or is Nintedo trying their hardest with these "episodes" and commercial in order to distract people from the horrible voiceacting + lack of dual audio?
+theycallmebad
I doubt it, because, to be honest, most people DON'T CARE about dual audio in the first place.
Except for the fact that the dub isn't bad. In fact, there are voices that are absolutely fantastic
Is this narrator guy on standby for all RPGs? He was also there for the Xenoblade Chronicles X Survival guides.
awwwwwsome!! i cant wait for the game to come out! it come's out in like 14 days so episodes problably wont take to long to come out.
Wow! I can't wait to play it! Oh wait there's no european release date yet... Guess I'll just play as Corrin in Smash...
THIS LOOKS SO AWESOME!!!! IM SO SO HYPED!!!!! TAKE MY MONAAAAAAY!
Phoenix...
Literally babbies mode
your decision is pointless storywise because youre only trying to take down King Garon in both games
+YourGrandfather aqua dies
+Shaohz wtf dude spoilers
Grima's the final boss and you're an clone of Grima.
Not really you already know the end you didn't see it
Also Flora commits suicide by burning herself alive.
Nice video. Very informative.
Hello Nintendo! I hope you see this. Please consider Dual Audio. I'll pay whatever it costs, but please. I love the Japanese audio, and, I expected it cause of FE Awakening. So, please Nintendo.
Cool guide. Reminds me of the XCX Survival guide
Honestly Nintendo if you hype me up any more for this game, I swear I'll explode.
14 days left!
Surprised nobody commented on the fact that the narrator for this is the same guy from the Xenoblade Chronicles X Survival Guide videos
+55urmom This is like the 5th comment I've seen that has said this.
Yeah, it made me think "Hey, Fates is getting a survival guide!"
XCX is so good.
I love this game so much that I play this more than awakening..oh and I wish I could have this game in Jp language
"We've got trouble"
That sick rhyme in the beginning!
phoenix mode...?
PHOENIX MODE?!
The complete flame in our chest shall not be extinguished by anyone. We are, THE PHOENIX!
"Next time on DRAGONBALL--er, the Frontlines."
I chose Nohr, mostly because I wanted to be on the 'bad' side for once.
This....is....AMAZIIIIIIIINGG!!!!
Phoenix mode is the ultimate plot armor
Looks like a story where no matter which side you choose, you'll likely face some rather gut-wrenching decisions to hurt someone you like, on the other side.
The added feature of Phoenix mode is nice, especially for beginners! All I've ever played was Awakening on classic mode...ugh hardest game ever since I had to keep restarting the chapter after a unit died. Worth it though.
+Arielle N play path of radiance or radiant dawn.
+Arielle N You should defintely try some of the older titles if you found awakening challenging. By old ones I mean most of them but sacred stones, that game was a cake walk.
Pika I thought I'd dive into the game head first and test myself. Bad idea😫
Can't wait to play this ^_^
3:57 Emperor Palpatine? Is that you?
Wow, Bill's voice got a lot deeper and more omniscient-narrator-like! It's great he got his job back at Nintendo!
SOOO MUCH FRIKIN HYPE
