Sakurai as a developper and with a global image could have been the one but i think they decided to let developpers speak for themselves.
I went with Conquest first and I'm really happy I did, it is definitely difficult and you have to make every move count. It really is a nice change from Awakening which I loved but got really easy the more you played. I don't see that happening with this one though lol.

I'm pleased to see the comments so far have been largely more positive than usual. Previously it's all been asking for Special Edition restocks and complaining about the localization, and I'm glad to see that while they're still there, the complaints are dying down and people are enjoying the game

Watching this fills me with a nice warm feeling, love of a game and it's gameplay, I love this game so far, Conquest is truly difficult going in on Hard mode blind after beating Birthright on Hard as well, I have to make some real strategic choices like.. where do I turtle? And when do I go on an offensive? Early game Conquest is so crushing. Looking forward to starting Revelations, I have a save file ready for it but I've decided the game has been so enjoyable that I wouldn't want to spoil anything for myself by going for Rev second (or first like I originally planned)
I think it's nice Nintendo of America hired the former 4Kids translators and editors. We dumb America can't understand the themes of these games we need them "localized" But the forgot to mention that your characters don't "die" in Fire Emblem they go to the "Shadow Realm" or thrown in a dungeon
fates has yet to be released in europe, but i already hope that the next fire emblem will be on a home console nx or wiiu, i don"t care, but i miss those emotions i feel when i play path of radiance or radiant dawn, that sensation of power that the latest fire emblem for portable consoles didn't make me feel please, intelligent systems, JUST DO IT

I can't wait for Revelations tomorrow! I've already beaten both games twice ^^ By the way, to anyone looking to play, I CANNOT recommend just getting one game. To get the full story, it's best to buy all three. In total, that's around 80 bucks :P
It's more like 100 dollars, if you buy both Conquest and Birthright it'll be $80, and with Revelations $20, I'm not sure if you get a discount if you have one version or two. Excited about Revelations though.
I was hoping they would also go into Corrins dragon design. I mean no mouth yet it can raw and shoot water. And when he uses dragon fang, he create a mouth from his hand. Also for smash, when he uses dragon lunge his tail looks nothing like it does in his dragon form.

I would like to know what those developers think about the whole process of localization that happened here. Do they know how much of the game has changed compared to the original version? Do they know how much content has been cut off from the original version? I know a lot of people are going to say that petting and secundary stuff does not matter, since the strategy is still there along with the story. But how can you say that to a series that WAS SAVED by these features (Awakening), such as marriage system and bond system? Fates was going to upgrade the FEATURE THAT SAVED THE SERIES, and Nintendo should be focused around the audience that helped to support those changes. Seeing how it turned out, in my opinion, NoA did a terrible thing.

Nope, you're definitely not the only one. Awakening is to blame, it really brought in alot of newer fans and since it sold alot the developers realised that they had to continue with that formula.

+shinmusashi44 actually the reason why pokemon is the way it is is because it is designed that way. it's designed so that you want to communicate with other players to battle and trade with them. fire emblem is not and the fates was once 1 game/product that Nintendo split for marketing, controversy, money, and to make their thin line up of title's look a little less thin (on top of other reasons I am sure) but saying and relating the situation to pokemon is a cop out on your part only showing how little you actually know about the industry. avoiding the issue and agreeing with Nintendo only shows how much of a sheep you are. but back to the issue the answer is in the design of the game, and how they are going about it. fire emblem is a single player story driven tactics rpg. none of that and anything the past games have done do any connectivity with other players on the level of pokemon so it's relation to that is null. on top of that when you buy the game the other story is dlc it is not another game thus supports the fact that is was at one point 1 game on top of the fact that up till chapter 7 the games are 100% identical. pokemon you find different pokemon in each game varying in points throughout the game to incentives player to want to connect with others. so based on early marketing and how the game is being handled there is no excuse why fire emblem fates is not 1 title.

don't get me wrong, but I just can't understand why they're releasing two(three) different game after talking about decisions that change the story of the game. But I will get all versions of the game, I'm just a bit disappointed that it isn't one BIIIG game, but that might be even the reason:/.

That would actually feel meaningful and heavy as a choice. Now it's still in two separate versions .

For some of us really like your games and wish to see the full experience from the original setting of fire emblem fates, if possible could you return those missing contents in a dlc and also return the dual audio for some of us want to experience the original Japanese language as well. thank you ( domo arigato gozaimasu )

By the way, to anyone looking to play, I CANNOT recommend just getting one game. To get the full story, it's best to buy all three. In total, that's around 80 bucks :P

It's more like 100 dollars, if you buy both Conquest and Birthright it'll be $80, and with Revelations $20, I'm not sure if you get a discount if you have one version or two. Excited about Revelations though.

I was hoping they would also go into Corrins dragon design. I mean no mouth yet it can raw and shoot water. And when he uses dragon fang, he create a mouth from his hand. Also for smash, when he uses dragon lunge his tail looks nothing like it does in his dragon form.

I would like to know what those developers think about the whole process of localization that happened here. Do they know how much of the game has changed compared to the original version? Do they know how much content has been cut off from the original version?
I know a lot of people are going to say that petting and secundary stuff does not matter, since the strategy is still there along with the story.
But how can you say that to a series that WAS SAVED by these features (Awakening), such as marriage system and bond system?
Fates was going to upgrade the FEATURE THAT SAVED THE SERIES, and Nintendo should be focused around the audience that helped to support those changes. Seeing how it turned out, in my opinion, NoA did a terrible thing.
You did a terrible thing expressing your garbage opinion. I completly disagree with you because I think the mainly did an amazing job. Yes, they changed some dialogues and put unnecessary memes in, but it didn't ruin anything. And you do realize it's all about opinions? The English voice actors and the character personalities are amazing in my opinion. Just because other people don't like them doesn't mean the dub is bad.

still don't like the fact that european fans have to wait 2 months. you would think that a company as huge and great as nintendo would have their act together, but release after release they fail to satisfy their costumer's needs.

Nope, you're definitely not the only one. Awakening is to blame, it really brought in alot of newer fans and since it sold alot the developers realised that they had to continue with that formula.

+shinmusashi44 actually the reason why pokemon is the way it is is because it is designed that way. it's designed so that you want to communicate with other players to battle and trade with them. fire emblem is not and the fates was once 1 game/product that Nintendo split for marketing, controversy, money, and to make their thin line up of title's look a little less thin (on top of other reasons I am sure) but saying and relating the situation to pokemon is a cop out on your part only showing how little you actually know about the industry. avoiding the issue and agreeing with Nintendo only shows how much of a sheep you are. but back to the issue the answer is in the design of the game, and how they are going about it. fire emblem is a single player story driven tactics rpg. none of that and anything the past games have done do any connectivity with other players on the level of pokemon so it's relation to that is null. on top of that when you buy the game the other story is dlc it is not another game thus supports the fact that is was at one point 1 game on top of the fact that up till chapter 7 the games are 100% identical. pokemon you find different pokemon in each game varying in points throughout the game to incentives player to want to connect with others. so based on early marketing and how the game is being handled there is no excuse why fire emblem fates is not 1 title.

but anyway it is a design thing. yes their end goal is to make money but it is how they went about it that is different. I am not defending pokemon just stating facts. yes pokemons story is the same and some pokemon you find are different but that is the point to connect with other players based on the differences. there is no connecting between the 2 fire emblem stories. so having them separate when they where 1 game makes no sense other then to make money. but this is a poor DESIGN choice because fans knew that it was suppose to be 1 game. just because another franchise does it doesn't mean it is the smart or right choice for the game.
