Camping Under Redwoods ~ Sequoia National Park Hike to Tokopah Falls ~ Bear Fellow Traveler ~ Ep 72

We camp under magnificent redwood trees in Sequoia National Park at Lodgepole Campground. Hike to beautiful Tokopah Falls. After breaking camp we have an up close encounter with an American Black Bear (which are often not black) as we’re driving down the mountain.

Thanks much appreciated! When the bear came by it was about 2 feet from my wife on the passenger side so understandable (and reasonably) rolled up her window. But me thinking of getting the video - told her to roll it back down (how dangerous can a 350+ lb bear be anyway?!) I guess content before safety lol! We got a good laugh about that. Thanks! Hard to shoot bad video out there. I think we may have been out there at the perfect time of the year too. Nice of the bear to make a cameo for my thumbnail lol. When do you get deliver of your Willys?

Thanks for sharing. We are looking forward to a trip to Lodgepole in just a few weeks after missing last year due to campground cancellations at Sequoia National Park.
