@@SteveAZ711they are really little Tanks... I'm in Love with Mine. I know of an 08 that has a 2.4. gonna replace it with the 2.2.. And a small turbo. THANK YOU SIR.✌️
I looked at a few other videos after watching yours, yours by far has been the best. Very informative and concise with a little bit of humor thrown in for good measure! Thank you for your tutorials!
I use a locking ball extension. The socket always comes up with the extension. To unlock the ball, just press the button. Using it for years. The manual says to change the air filter every 50,000 miles, if you want change the plugs then or every 100,000 miles.
Tip... Take the rubber plug out of the inside of the spark-plug socket when putting the plugs back in. Just watch the plug doesn't fall into the hole too fast. Keeps the socket from staying stuck on the plug and connected to the extension when you pull it back out.
Thanks. Only do my own work for now. My shop is generally near a shade tree for now. I do have a shop with concrete floors and hope to move closer to it soon. I will post a tour video of it when that day arrives...promises to be very interesting.
I like to change mine out around every 100000 miles. Depending on plug quality some plugs need changing around 30000 miles. If you are having starting issues, misfires, or poor idling, then it may be a sign that the plugs need to be looked at. Thanks!
Aside from not showing a clear video shot (out of focus) of the worn plugs you removed (you should have held your hand in behind the worn pulled plugs so the camera could focus), I'd say this was a very informational video. Hope she's still running well for you.

You have to use the tools you have. Some work better than others.
Good job on the HHR. I bet those plugs were the originals!! Stay healthy, both of you!

Update on the spark plug part number…. AC Delco 41-103 Iridium, change them every 100,000 miles, torque to 15 ft/lbs.

Very true. I have broken a few insulators that way too.
Another thing I will be doing to our HHR

I didn't unplug the the coil packs. Was it necessary other than inspection? Great video sir. Thanks in advance
No. I wanted to inspect them is all. Thanks!

How do you know when to replace them
Chevy says they last around 100,000 miles.
When they start missing...had no idea till one went south.
Very helpful!👍👍

Similar for the 2.2 ecotec also I guess?🌝 no Ira nor the cam is vvt the 2.2 isn't and little bigger displacement on 2.4
I believe it is the same. Here is another video you may find interesting...ruclips.net/video/JrraLxZ19PI/видео.html
2.2s are quicker than 2.4s,
Same thing with Chrysler horizons or Dodge omnis'... although 1.8 -2.2...

Sr so coils don't need to be replaced unless they're crack
If it ain't broke don't fix it. Remember NEW means...Never,Ever,Worked.
What do I do if it doesn't start after I install the new spark plugs
Take you battery to get tested maybe start off with the Cheapest troubleshooting
Just
Yep, just the best. Thanks!
