A slim mechanical 40-60% version of this with dual joysticks, shoulder pads, and a small trackpad would be the ultimate htpc gaming keyboard. Basically a switch with a mechanical keyboard instead of a screen. You could even make the joystick section removable so that they can be separated into a more comfortable controller. Dang.. I think I’m gonna design one.
I'm after a wireless all-in-one so having a corsair option to the somewhat dated ones currently available is nice.
HOw Is YoUr PC WiReLeSS
@@sskies4972 It's EZ, just have everything soldered directly, including the display, and then have solar panels on the back for charging. Simple.
I have the Logitech k400+ and my thoughts of it are “it isn’t a failure” this looks nicer, but trackpads still make me want to vomit.
This type of keyboard comes in handy for IT work. Can toss it in your backpack and get to work on any terminal or server machine that doesn't typically have a keyboard and mouse hooked up to it. I think this would be perfect for my line of work.
the mouse triggers on the back of the track pad are awesome. what would be cool is if you could detach the keyboard from the trackpad and have the two work independently from each other. It would be awesome to pick up a small form factor mouse like that and be able to control a HTPC and then when needed you can attach back to the keyboard for typing. Or if you prefer it just keep it all together. Modularity in a HTPC's peripherals is a must, because usually there is more than one user with access to it, and we all have different preferences.
4:03 It’s looking like groot admires the keyboard
Yeah LOL
Yeh when is the wedding

Awesome review! Love the Morrowind case on the coffee table 👍
I kinda knew that this video you just now released was gonna be about the K83 when you announced a new video coming today on Twitter last night. Good job as always, though you did call this the K68 a few times throughout the video. Keep it up!
A trackpad ON the keyboard is a surprisingly good use of space... Interesting way to phase out Numpads and have an extra trackpad option for other wireless keyboards?
Why do you want to phase out number pads?
@@Sam-gf6ue I personally don't mind them but since a lot of people are going for 60% / compact keyboards, some people clearly don't need them and don't mind them not being there. I concede this is usually because a smaller keyboard takes up less space BUT if it is decided numpads aren't useful enough to warrant taking up that room and it was instead an extra, functioning mouse? I could see why that would be useful for people who just think numpads are a waste of space. I'd totally buy a mechanical, wireless keyboard with an extra mouse pad there instead of the numpad (for when you just want to watch something and not be close to the screen, seems extremely convenient).
youve never seen this before ? small bluetooth keyboards for phones have done this forever. and so has logitech. check out the k400
This looks like a fantastic hybrid solution for playing RPGs like Fallout or skyrim on your couch without having to worry about lack of functionality with regards to key mapping. I love it. What do y'all think?
I'm reading on the Amazon reviews that users are experiencing bad range of the wifi and that using Bluetooth loses some customization features. Sucks, because i'm currently using the Razor Turret and a logitech glass touchpad combo and it would just make things easier to use the K83.
can’t wait to use the WASD when destroying scrubs on my tv channels
I game on my living room TV so very interested in this for older games that don't have controller support.
I like how before this video i got a Corsair k83 ad
wow that's spooky do you think we are being watched!!!!?
yeah man, we gotta hide, the aliens are coming
Waking up to a new vid from one of the best youtubers

5:42 your left control is a bit broken xd
well, that sux bad!
he tore it off to review the mechanism
What would be nice if you could
'draw 'a P on the touchpad and than it would open PUBG. That kind of macro would be really nice. Also maybe add that you could write (draw) on the touchpad. So if you would 'draw' a M it would registrate the letter M.
Ty Frank for ur heart❤
Try to suggest this on their forums, they can update their firmware so I bet it could be possible
@@Nuaex ok buddy really😂
@@Nuaex HAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHHAHZHZHZHZHZHEHHZZHHAHAH😂😂
@@adfjasjhf sounds like a good idea.
Draw a P to open Pubg then set the keyboard down and pick up a better keyboard to play with. Seems useless with extra steps.
I think Planetary Annihilation is a really underrated game so I find it very cool that you played it. :)
its also a name of a weapon from the game "terraria",a refrence to the game itself.
@@autronic9306 I didn't know that. Cool
I’m never gonna buy any of this stuff but I still watch it
I actually thought about getting this keyboard for my dorm room, where I can use it both when I'm sitting at my desk setup or sitting in bed watching a movie, I'd be able to control stuff with no problem
Just bought it, volume control is just fine.
Corsair made a great keyboard, but it's not quite enough to replace the Logitech k830 I use now. If that left right trigger was repeated on the left side then I could move the mouse around and click with my left hand.
R.I.P Left handed users
How so?
Shane H I’m finna roast you
BlaziDude Track Pad is different from a mouse.
I am left but there is no problem with it for left people
not really. A lot of mice are usually shaped to contour a right handed person, but trackpads are flat so the issue isn't the same.
Hope you have a good day!
I'd like to mash this up with the Lenovo Trackpoint 2 wireless keyboard
Keep the form factor of the K83
Keep the backlight, metal body, and volume knob
Take the trackpoint nub and right middle/scroll left buttons of the Lenovo
get rid of the trackpad and right joy stick, but trade them for a number pad
Add full sized arrow keys without making shift or enter smaller(would probably need a reduced size 0 key on number pad)
This would be a good all-around device to use in concert with a mouse, or on the move.
Yes a mouse is more accurate, but the trackpoint is so much more convenient because you dont have to take your hands off the keyboard to move the mouse
the clicking of the keys! aah satisfaction!
Kinda woulda like if the mouse shoulder buttons were on the left. Logitechs offerings have that design and it balances your use of hands really nicely.
Another dope review from Mr. P, Stella work!
So all of that, and they didn;t include just 1 single button in the left to function as a left click, maybe add another to for a right click.
Having two of those buttons on the left increases speed so much.
The trackpad itself should be clickable. Then have a button in the upright corner you could also get to easily with your thumb or whatever while using it for ease.
I'm gonna get this for my mom, shes been looking for an all in one. I just gave her my amd pc so this'll be great. :)
7x7 and
Oh
Good god finally! Volume wheels should be a STANDARD FEATURE on keyboards by now! It’d be great if this were Mac-friendly, but this is the base model of what all keyboards should be, perhaps with a cable though.
Great review!!! Very informative. Definitely getting one of these.
What a beautiful keyboard that is! Thank you for this great review Frank, always appreciate your video's :-)
I recommend a trackball mouse for anyone using a PC as an entertainment set up or in a living room setting.

you deserve it man❤

And just like that, I didn't get a notification that Frank uploaded this video. I had to go to his channel page to see it was. Jesus RUclips, fix this. Who knows how many videos from my favorite RUclipsrs I haven't seen because of this, that I would love to watch.
Corsair never seems to disappoint.
Great Video i bought the Keyboard and i have to say its awesome ! Keep up your good work :)
I'll buy one as soon as they release the Scandinavian layout.
I kinda love the sound that the keyboard makes
I just bought this and I love it
Would honestly like to see how the volume adjusts on ur PC. that's what worries me. Currently using Logitech K830 and the volume buttons push-click/change the volume 2 at a time--Not sure id want a scroller for volume as that may be a bit wild and not allow for precise volume control
Wow, I would totally love to go over to your place and adjust the brightness level of your monitor to 59 and fix the volume level at 43.
@@winnoe Hey you leave my monitor alone! lol and i somehow fixed the volume dont remember how though..
I would get this if the scroller had functionality similar to a Logitech Craft Dial.
That Morrowind on the table tho, I'd kill for an official remaster of that game with current gen graphics
DUDE YOU'RE OUT OF CONTROL, LITERALLY 5:42
How would you compare this to the Microsoft equivalent? Their "All in One keyboard with integrated track pad" at $30 on Amazon ?
Sure the MS one is BT only, is plastic and has no joystick or triggers, but the trackpad is bigger and square and is $70 cheaper, it still has volume controls though buttons rather than a roller, and only takes batteries ... huge price difference though
Nice video! Definitely a little different than usual Corsair stuff!
Immchuck how could U watch the vid so fast
'first attempt'? Are you nuts? How about the k830 backlit with built in track pad or the venerable K400 that just about all htpc enthusiasts use?
The battery seems to be NiCD as it will discharge when not used. They should use Lithium Ion batteries....they are the norm these days 2020+
I like the fact he had Morrowind GOTY edition for the original xbox just sitting there, much respect.
@randomfrankp Morrowind still my favorite Elder Scrolls game all time! You have great tatse bro👊. Thanks for the legit review!
First of this kind of keyboard to have a Microsoft precision trackpad I think? If the trackpad is close to Apple level experience then I think this would be an awesome keyboard for work (e.g. having a laptop hooked up to a monitor and needing keyboard and mouse).
Itchy... wonder if Logitech will come up with something to compete...
The keyboard could be awesome for gaming if you use the w a s d and the joystick with triggers, kinda like half keyboard and controller. Just rest one side on an elevated platform and hold the other with your hand
2:53 tf you need to be quick af in rocket too
Yep especially in grand champ
Being someone who plays in Asia pro leagues i can confirm
Nice keyboard! Have a good weekend Frank!
I don't get the Amazon description that states "German layout"... it is either QWERTY or AZERTY what's a "German layout"? Plus the photos and videos I have seen clearly show a QWERTY layout, any info on this? Great in depth demo btw, thanks.
this is the first product I saw with the new packaging design... But I like the old one more somehow.
Used to play PA ranked, hurts to see it played on this keyboard :)
The review is nice might be a good replacement for logitech k400
That round track pad is ridiculous.
That looks amazing!
I use the Logitech K400 for my HTPC. It only costs average of $20. It is a cheaper quality keyboard, but it is also the most common keyboard for this. Logitech makes the K600 for $60 (half the price about of the Corsair and it does all the same features+TV and BT) or the Logitech K830 for $99 (more premium+ rechargeable battery. If I was spending $99 for a TV keyboard (and my 4K smart TV cannot use a keyboard other than my phone), I'd get the Logitech K830 because it doesn't stand out/look out of place sitting on my coffee table or on my media console. I am NOT a Logitech fan boy or anything... I like the look of the Corsair but not as a living room keyboard that is meant to be seen.
Check the prices now... crazy.
They missed an opportunity to put a left click mouse button on the upper left hand side of the keyboard like the Logitech K400
The start of the sound test tickled me😂
Hmm.. 🤔 thinking about pairing it with the steam deck been playing Project Cars and having to type on RUclips seems a good choice for me.
That sound test was *noice*
my boy casually playing planetary annihilation against himself with a trackpad
Matching This With Your Apple TV Is Good
5:37 sound test! 😋
I wish that you can only have the right side for like 50 aud for music and more that would be so amazing
I'm glad I found this
message from 2024, now it's out of stock everywhere, and ppl sale it for 900+ dollars. And I still wanna try one.
I came across this video while looking for something to replace the wireless Microsoft All-in-One Media Keyboard that I've been using with my HTPC now that I have added a Smart TV to the set-up. It would be nice to have just one keyboard I can use with both.
Q1: What kind of on/off switch does this have?
My wife has a habit of turning the switch on and off on the MS one I have literally every time she picks it up to use it - even if it's just to pause something she's streaming. I always worry about premature wear.
She also has trouble using two finger gestures to scroll webpages - I was hoping the wheel on this could be used for scrolling rather than volume.
Q2: I wonder if there's a way to reassign functions on it?
This keyboard is actually nice and looks promising.
Great video but what was the almost heart beat like sound in the background is your voiceover mic not on a shock mount or is this a thing that happened in post? Not knocking the video still putting out awesome videos great quality but I'm genuinely curious what on Earth that is.
R.I.P. frank's tv remote 1:47
I'm interested to see how this would work for content creation. Would this work well for video editing? Programming macros with the touchpad and joystick and stuff.
I was like "How does that logitech keyboard have a corsair logo in it ??? OOOOOOHHH IT IS A CORSAIR KEYBOARD!!"
I'm sorry but I payed 25 for my Logitech one and 100 dollars for that is absolutely insane for a home theater keyboard
My thoughts exactly. Should be $50. $100 is insane for this.
This and the K830 by Logitech. Either out of stock or waaaaay overpriced. Are manufacturers not interested in making these anymore?
This thing is pretty cool
The box typing test was mad
So wait, it’s a controller keyboard? LIT AS FUCK!
Can you switch between multiple devices?
That volume knob could have been a scroll wheel.
I could c a full blown joystick keyboard from Corsair soon in this form factor...
does it have pinch zoom capability? also mac compatibility? thanks for the review!
Nice review
You check the battery percentage in the windows taskbar
Yes, but it just said "medium"
Looks smooth
but, does it have a tactical flashlight in case you drop your copy of morrowind?
Does it have Smart TV buttons like "back", "home", "search"?
Love Corsair products
It looks like a chrome books keyboard but with a few of those weird thingies on the side
Can we use joystick as left joystick and mouse as right joystick to play mp fps games?
1:48 ok buddy
This thing is wild
This is perfect for my HTPC setup the keyboard I have now is garbage
1:50 I notice you have good taste in games.
The keyboard looks great.
Can they release a version without the touch pad part...I’m looking for a good magic keyboard clone. I have two magic keyboards but I just don’t like the key switch profile. Too flat.
6:00 did the fall of? and what do you think of the k83 as opposed to 68 lol
