2:44 Logitech did not, in fact, make their own low-profile switches. Those are standard Kailh Choc switches, you can even see the Kailh logo on the switch housing. This is actually a good thing, as Choc switches are pretty great, especially the clicky ones. I recently got done lubing a linear Choc keyboard, and it's the happiest I've been with any low-profile keyboard I've ever laid my fingers on. I'm glad to see them getting more use, but I'm disappointed to see that they won't be getting the kind of exposure I'd like for them due to Logitech calling them GL Switches. These aren't even a custom variant like the Choc blue switches seen on the Havit KB395L, these are just straight up, bog standard, regular-ass Chocs (which, again, is good) so there's no justification for it.
I got the keyboard. It's honestly sooo much better feeling than any of the other keyboards I've tried. I'm so much faster on it. It is also very easy to clean. nothing can really get stuck under the keys, you can just blow it out. Honestly, I never would believe that I'd advocate a $250 keyboard, but if you are on a computer coding, gaming, or just altogether typing for hours a day, it's absolutely worth it. Very surprised.
It would be sweet if you mentioned the lightspeed sensors on this (and the g pro wireless mouse) actually have faster response times than the best wired options available. I'm sure you saw the video Linus did testing response times. That fact alone made me switch to the g pro wireless mouse.

I'm just a student and I heavily rely on my 2$ allowance everyday(it may sound a very little amount but in conversion, it's pretty reasonable for a student)not to mention I also have my expenses which will leave me less than a dollar for a day. I've decided to save up for a PC and maybe you do too so my suggestion is: If you were to buy a gaming PC, then maximize the performance of it by buying expensive stuff. I learned to not settle for less since it will probably end up me saving for a better part to improve performance. So I say even if this is expensive, I would love to save up and buy this as my gaming keyboard. This is very unecessary but I just thought that someone is in a same situation like I am and needs help |:3
It is totally experimental price because men Logitech (not as in mice department) is not the strongest in keyboard so they have to be more decent with their price
@@ballpoint7887 yes and that will be custom, that will be unique. Not like this keyboard which differs only in switch and you still basically don't have a lot of variant to change the keycaps. Though these switches tend to become 'low profile' mainstream as community likes them. However cherry can also make their low profile line up more popular if they would use stabilizers which are comaptible with their new switches.
It's wireless (not just generic 30ms BT but actually 1ms) and has decent battery life. I'd say the price is justifiable considering there's virtually no competition from other mainstream manufacturers in this premium wireless keyboard segment.
@@bigdrill8881 but it is situation when you would really want that if you want to buy that. Hey I am a bit sceptical about using a wireless mouse/keyboard. Using a crappy Logitech combo and the keyboard performs poorly but mouse is sweet. Noticed you have the opposite setup in this vid. Any advice on a decent wireless mouse too that shares the same dongle as a keyboard of this quality for a reasonable price?
I used to be a huge nay-sayer when it came to Wireless for gaming - UNTIL I tried the GPro Wireless and G305. I trust Logitech and their lightspeed technology now. It's really great. Only problem I see with this product and it's price is that...it just isn't really needed. You're constantly moving a mouse, so wireless makes sense. A keyboard on the other hand? Not really moving much.
Am I crazy for liking the G213 (rubber dome) key feel better? The G815/915 is better for its internal memory tho. It doesn't need a palm rest either and that's nice too.
I like the low profile look of the keyboard but I really hate how the keycaps mounts to the switches. Since they are designed by Logitech if you break a keycap tab. You will be forced to buy replacement keycaps from Logitech. Would have been better if they used a low profile switch that used the '+' mount.
Typing on one of these now. I got the clicky but like the sound of the Tactile from your review. Gonna switch to that one. Thanks a million for the honesty. It's definitely more than I've ever paid for a keyboard but I type more accurately with it than my Razer Huntsman (still like it) and it's got a ton of features I didn't know I wanted until I had them!
Guy please help me , rn Im able to build my first ryzen pc and im really confused should I build soon or should I wait until the black Friday sales what should I do ?
this looks amazing. I am interested in the full size with brown switches. Can you comare it with something better? or is it the best one out there for such features?
Unsure of the volume issue you were experiencing. I have the gl clicky version of this keyboard and have 0 issues at all. NGL is like the best keyboard I've ever used and absolutely love it and you weren't kidding the battery life is no joke. I've not turned the power switch off once since I've got it... (About 4 days, mixed usage, and I'm sitting at literally 100% still 😆 according to GHub which is crazy). There's been at least 6 hours of wireless usage since then all with rgb on. Anyone interested in a full sized wireless mechanical keyboard and price is no problem this will be in my opinion the best keyboard to buy.
Excluding its price, is this keyboard (the linear one in particular) something that one would recommend for an office environment? I've been looking for a low profile keyboard to use as an office/work keyboard and this one seems like a good fit. I've contemplated getting a more "dedicated" work keyboard for said purpose, but I prefer mechanical keys more than anything else, issue being that mechanical keys tend to make more sound hence disturbing surrounding people more. Do you believe that this keyboard would make enough sound (even with the linear variant) to disturb people around me (thus making a standard "work"-keyboard more ethical) or would this keyboard work well in said environments?
Does anyone know how to tell when the keyboard is fully charged, if its flashing green that means charging right? does it go solid green or turn off when fully charged? The keyboard didn't come with a manual on this.
Daniel Mathov No, the switches are knock off kailh choc switches which are more of a rectangular shape than a circle so they won’t fit on them. Even if they used cherry low profile you couldn’t because the switches themselves are shorter than the o rings so it wouldn’t work
Ahh I am not a gamer but I want this. I would take it to the office and it would be a little like Christmas everyday. Btw kudos to you for demo-ing the sound coming from each of these three.
The biggest con is it doesn't tell you if num Lock is on or not. The software is not that great either, some games have preprogrammed lighting effects which are cool if they work but might not change with a change of the key bindings. The option to disable this functionis not readily apparent. It also has challenges recognizing games to change lighting effects per game. You can add them manually. That being said the clicky verson keyboard feels awesome to type with and does add value to gaming.
@randomfrankp what did you think about the typing experience though? The sound on the Tactical is not great, the feedback isn't enough or even as much as the laptop keyboards I use. The keys dont feel as solid or stable as then either. I have been typing on it all day and the experience just doesn't seem like something I'd Pay for. Love the look and features but typing IMO feels gross. Might have to try the clicky but... Im sceptical. Any Thoughts?
Did you notice a lag between the volume wheel and the actual volume change on the computer? Hardware Canucks mentioned it which may be a deal-breaker. I love the volume wheel from the Corsair keyboards
Btw it isn't a switch that Logitech necessarily created. They worked with Kailh and just put renamed choc switches in it. Not a bad thing but I just wanted to point that out to you since it sounded like you thought it was a Logitech proprietary switch.

This is very unecessary but I just thought that someone is in a same situation like I am and needs help |:3
note: i know a keyboard is less than an advantage in performance but i just really like this one in general
Hanako-kun is it good? I’m between this or the G513, what do you think?
I don't like the price. Logitech prices are wtf sometimes. With 250 you can buy decent monitor, make your own keyboard which is fun
It is totally experimental price because men Logitech (not as in mice department) is not the strongest in keyboard so they have to be more decent with their price
I'm building my own 60 percent keyboard with a wood case, hot swappable PCB, kailh box pinks, thick PBT keycaps and RGB for $170 lol
Similar situation was with steelseries pro wireless which is even more expensive, however I really wanted hotswapable batteries. So yeah it may find its customer but I am a bit doubting that I am one of them at least eith that price. 150 - another talk
Remove the macros, remove the numb pad, (basically a tournament edition) and make it 150 and I’ll buy it
In the sound test can you please tell us the order of the keyboard you used ?
I liked the sound of the first one
Now make a TKL version and I'll buy it, Logi.
And now your wish is granted. Check Best Buy, not out everywhere yet.
@@joshhatchell3034 Oh my god I'm in love. Can't wait to pick mine up. I ended up getting the G815 full-size a while back anyway but damn, I'm excited.
YO IM HERE SO FAST ITS STILL 360p LMAO
ok?
Holy shit, I waited an eternity for this, since the G615 came out.
This man said threesome I'm dead 💀💀💀 nice vid tho👍👍👍
is the tactile the quietest?
250 dollars in 2019. Micro USB. Really?
where's that mousepad from? it looks so good
And Logitech officially stole me from Corsair. Though my platinum was gonna last me *at* *least* 2 years. lol
How is it holding up? I am thinking of leaving my Corsair K70 for this keyboard.
Same here! Had a K95 Platinum but after seeing this, immediately bought a G915. Had some issues with my K95 but the G915 is holding up like a champ 👌
1st mechanical sound is awsome.. Which switch ??
I’ll wait for the TKL version
What’s the Bluetooth version? How many devices can it connect and switch freely?
get rid of that volume bar and add the one from the corsair k70 and get rid of the lightspeed logo and i'd be all over this
yup
love the logo, HATE this volume bar, its absolutely horrible!
No feedback and it lags the sound.
So u want a wireless k70
this is the best keyboard i ever bought! i have nothing negative to say about it....... thanks for the video
Same here just got it the other day. Very happy with it. I want to just type all day it feels so nice and looks so clean!
I have a habit keyboard with khail lowprofile blue switches, and logitech completely took the idea from my keyboard, mine is called the kb-395L
Guy please help me , rn Im able to build my first ryzen pc and im really confused should I build soon or should I wait until the black Friday sales what should I do ?
these sound so unpleasant but the design of it all and the package you’re getting is amazing
this looks amazing. I am interested in the full size with brown switches. Can you comare it with something better? or is it the best one out there for such features?
I usually like reds but blues/whites on this low profile sounds so satisfying
Loving the ASMR videos man keep it up
But what about the k57 corsair. It just came out
He already made a video about it
Not be rude but how do you afford a beast gaming setup and pc and a gaming room and to be able to buy 3 £200 keyboards?
Did you do a bend test?
I know it's metal, but with it being this thin I've seen people in the commets with doubts.
Lukas Heuvel I own one, it’s really sturdy
What mouse are you using? It has the cool grill looking design.
Thank you for the review, is it still worth buying ?
I freakin love it. The price should be 200 for the wireless and 150 for the wired
Give it a few months it will go on sale.
What does the brown and red have? What's the difference? In all 3?
Why did they make it low-profile? If they wanted to make it easier to carry around then why full size?
Would you be able to put o-rings to dampen the sound?
Daniel Mathov No, the switches are knock off kailh choc switches which are more of a rectangular shape than a circle so they won’t fit on them. Even if they used cherry low profile you couldn’t because the switches themselves are shorter than the o rings so it wouldn’t work
Ahh I am not a gamer but I want this. I would take it to the office and it would be a little like Christmas everyday.
Btw kudos to you for demo-ing the sound coming from each of these three.
Can you do a comparison of lightweight mice? ( razed viper, glorious, final mouse etc)
Was the first demo the “clicky”?
Did you notice a lag between the volume wheel and the actual volume change on the computer? Hardware Canucks mentioned it which may be a deal-breaker. I love the volume wheel from the Corsair keyboards
No lag on mine
Btw it isn't a switch that Logitech necessarily created. They worked with Kailh and just put renamed choc switches in it. Not a bad thing but I just wanted to point that out to you since it sounded like you thought it was a Logitech proprietary switch.
can you compare the size between g915 tkl and g915
