If there is market pressure on them to change they will. But that will take the average consumer buying competitor's products to send the message. If people keep buying overpriced sub-standard equipment, it validates their cost-cutting measures on the production side.

The only product from Logitech worth getting is the MX Master 3S productivity mouse, other than that, the company is following Creative’s footstep as a sunset company
Honestly even the 3S has issues that should've been solved a long time ago, namely the scroll wheel inconsistency. That issue was present in the Master 3 and somehow managed to stay unresolved for the 3S. Not to mention the rubber coating on the mouse that just degrades over time from skin oil. I'm just waiting for a different mouse that has both smart shift and a side scroll wheel and I'm probably switching right then and there. The only one even close is the Basilisk V3 but that doesn't have a side scroll wheel and their version of smart shift just isn't as fluid and responsive as Logitech's.
I'm very happy with my MX vertical. It's probably overpriced, but as a productivity mouse it does everything I need. I hate the button remapping though, it's basically useless
That’s the main reason I’ve never pulled the trigger on the 915 TKL. It’s absurd that they’re still using micro USB! That port is going to be wrecked after you disconnect/reconnect three times
I work retail. Ive recommended logitech products for forever. I like bigger mice because I have bigger hands so I had a G502 X Plus. Came out in August 2022, I bought it in November. When mine was having issues staying connected I only wanted tech support because I thought it may be a software issue not the actual mouse. They asked for the serial number and proceeded to tell me it was 1) Out of warrenty, which is impossible as it has a 2 year warrenty and even if I bought day 1 that is in August this year. And 2) Said that it was a refurbished mouse. I bought it from THEIR amazon store page as a new mouse. They have since not responded to any of my emails asking for help because it is "out of warrenty". I immediately went and replaced all my logitech gear and no longer recommend them to customers.
Amazon has a habit of shipping refurbished products even though you select "brand new". Easiest way to tell is if you are able to find a white sticker that starts with LPN. This has happened to me several times and I'm glad that sometimes it's very obvious when something, especially tech has been repackaged. I'll find the LPN sticker to confirm my suspicions and immediately start the return process. They usually give me a brand new one on the second attempt, for now.
I know its really hit or miss but try calling them and asking for a real person (they spam you with an AI help bot). The person on the phone helped me out as one of my buttons stopped working 2 months in after i bought it from amazon and gave me a new one.
2 year warranty is with amazon, not logitech, as amazon sold you the mouse. If it's still less than 2 years, get in contact with amazon. They'll usually refund you no questions asked.
Razor did something similar to me. A headset broke in 3 months, got a new one and it did the same thing in four months. Both breaking in the same spot. I informed them about it and was offered a $10 discount at their store....Decided I'd never buy a razor product ever again.
Yeah my keyboard actually has a switch on it that lets me choose Mac or Windows mode, is metal with removable keys and switches, can do bluetooth, wired, or highspeed wireless dongle, can set up to 4 devices at once, and is cheaper than Logitech's mechanical MX series by %40... no way I am going back to Logitech. Now I am on the lookout for a good mouse. My MX Master 3 is kinda disappointing as the cursor moves super slow on the fastest settings. Looking for something that can set at least 2 devices, can do bluetooth and 2.4ghz dongles, and is USB C rechargeable, if anyone knows a good device? My wife has the G705 which is nice but a bit too small for me (I don't have big hands but this particular mouse is designed for female hands).

You would think the team behind this keyboard would be able to create a standard list of must haves and should haves for a keyboard in esports scene. Looks like they missed them all...
Or at least price it accordingly. I can understand if an upcoming pro player can’t afford spending more than $100 on a keyboard, so they would get something slightly cheaper from a decent brand. So then pricing an average keyboard higher than the best keyboard in the market is just delusional.
Too bad they probably started from a perspective of, "we have a budget of X and promised the executives X% profit per device in order to get this green lit"
Dude, I’ve been looking at the Wooting board for a bit and was on the fence about waiting for the 80 but now I know you have a collab board coming out I now what I’m waiting for.
I'm still using a Wooting One board I got from their Kickstarter in 2017 i think. Had a couple switches starting to wobble in the last year, found my Wooting box and there was like 8 replacement switches inside (4 clicky 4 linear). Swapped out my WASD and Space bar switches and lubed it up, good as new! My roommate has gone through 4 keyboards from Corsair, Razer, CoolerMaster, in the same time that all failed.
It feels like Logitech has lost their way. I remember the days of the Logitech G5 mouse, I bought it for 50 euros and it was the best mouse on the market. When it broke after 4 years and I didn't have the receipt they just shipped me a new one and asked for me to return the old one so they can inspect it. They also did this for some speakers I had. Somewhere along the line tho their quality started dropping both on hardware and customer support. I had a G603 (I think) wireless mouse which had double clicking issues despite me not using it much, but after 4 years no warranty (despite it being a well documented issue) and they only offered me a 25% discount on their overpriced store. Also one of their headsets broke at the shitty plastic hinge after just 2 years and I also didn't get any warranty on that. I'm noticing issues with my G pro wireless as well, and it's also out of warranty. I'm super happy with my Drunkdeer A75 hall effect keyboard that cost me 120 euros. Best keyboard I've had hands down, and very comparable to the Wooting (just not the best software). These days I'm not looking at Logitech as a first choice anymore, especially at the premium they're asking for budget gear.
The G5 was never the best mouse on the market, not even close, but it was a breed of a different era in terms of build quality. Sadly, you can't really expect that nowadays.
how long do you expect a product to last you? The fact that you would expect ANY compensation after 4 years is absolutley mind blowing. You used a headset for 2 YEARS straight and thats somehow unacceptable to you? Im not sure where you think you live, but this is planet earth. I honestly cannot believe your entitlement, its absolutely ridiculous
@@absolutelysobeast It is not about what you expect, but about what you feel like should be able to expect. Those two are similar, but not quite the same. I feel like if I purchase a comparatively pricey peripheral and a distinct problem emerges during the first 4 years, I will for sure let the retailer or manufacturer hear about it. Politely asking how should we proceed now. The response and service I get will be noted. As a result, there are manufacturers whose products I am prepared to pay a premium for, and other manufacturers whose products must be less expensive than the competition available for me to even consider purchasing.
@@absolutelysobeast I expect pheripherals to last at least 5 years. Maybe you're American, but consumers in Europe tend to have longer warranties than just 1 or 2 years. It's unreasonable for a 150 euro mouse to have buttons going bad after 2 years.
@@Think_1234 dude 4 years? I mean if you use something, its not going to last that long. If you use something like a mouse or a keyboard daily for 2 years i dont understand how you expect more than that? Maybe 3 years, but i honestly cannot fathom having a thing for 4 years and contacting the manufacturer and asking them what they are going to do for me? I mean dude that means that you are still using a thing now and would expect compensation for something you bought before the world even knew what the hell covid was? I CANNOT understand that. A mouse or a keyboard is a piece of plastic that you touch every single day and press the buttons hundreds of times a day.
it's so weird every company in the industry that we've grown to trust throughout the years have recently began losing our trust and our favor to new companies. either in the front end of the company or in customer service. a lot of these big companies need to realize that consumers won't stick around when they pay top dollar expecting top quality gear and get let down.
So many big companies are just going cheap. Mostly higher up asking for new products and giving no time to the people who are creating the product as long as it gets on the shelf quickly. No passion, just budgets. I'm so glad more and more indie companies are showing up and are actually putting heart into their products again.
Ya'll blind yourselves with your pleasures and entertainments, you only see life through tunnel vision. You will own nothing and you will be happy. Build back better 2030. 😉
I wouldn't even be mad at Logitech for not innovating, but their products legit get worse and worse and yet the price goes up. Had the G710+ keyboard for a long time and loved almost everything about it. It would never break. Logitech software was never really good, but went down really low after they brought out G Hub. Mice also once were the absolute best. They were built like a rock, you could sit on them. Now they're just plastic bombers and break from falling off the table.
Someone had to say it and I'm glad you did. A few years ago, I decided to go with full-setup Logitech peripherals. The keyboard I chose was the G915 in full size. The letters and numbers on the keys started to fade after a few months. For the mouse I went with the G Pro X Superlight which had some issues with the scroll wheel where I would try to scroll down but it would scroll up instead. I received a replacement mouse but it had issues with the clicks. Holding down the clicks for more than 2 seconds will result in them releasing even though I was still holding them. The third replacement was lucky, it only has some wobble but it's acceptable. The headset I bought was the wired G Pro X and after three months the sound in the left side was more pronounced than in the right one, and a week later the sound in the right side completely disappeared. I purchased the G Pro X v2 wireless headset and they make a sound as if something is scratching inside, randomly, like a popping/cracking noise. This was the last product I bought from Logitech.
i had been using a corsair hs70 wireless headset i bought when i got my first gaming pc a few years ago. when i finally tried to upgrade last year - knowing much more about pc gaming at that point - i tried the g pro x v2, partially for convenience since i was still using logitech m&k. only having to use one piece of software was alluring. however, at 100% volume on *everything* the audio was muffled & surprisingly quiet. yes, firmware/software was up-to-date & g hub was functioning as expected otherwise. returned to place of purchase to swap out & had the same problem with the second unit. returned again for a refund & decided to try the very well-reviewed audeze maxwell headset. sound quality was fantastic on those, but they had a fatal flaw (imo) in which any video, song, or media source i tried would have zero volume for the first few seconds after play/pause with no apparent way to correct it. audeze customer support was arguably the worst i've ever encountered, unfortunately. after weeks of absurd back-and-forth emails, i was finally able to return the maxwell & eventually receive a refund. ended up replacing the battery on the aging corsair unit with a higher-density cell then replaced the ear cushions & am still using it daily. --- filed under "i'm frustrated and this is good enough lol."
Honestly, what did they even EXPECT with this keyboard? The first time I’ve ever seen this keyboard is by HipyoTech’s review. It was absolutely so insane, hilarious, and especially disappointing from a big brand like Logitech to even produce something LIKE this. It looks very basic, and I bet it feels basic as well. There’s no KEYCAP or SWITCH puller, and for the keyboard modders out there, if you wanted to hotswap it for different keycap, you literally can’t. You can’t switch to any other keycap if you tried. The software looks ridiculously mediocre and boring in my opinion. I gotta say, I have never been a fan of software. Hell, I have an Apex Pro Full from SteelSeries, and holy SHIT, it is annoying. The software has garbage I don’t use, in which the only thing I use is the “Engine” for the custom actuation points (Rapid trigger is included as well). Overall, for Logitech, they are in hot water, and I feel like it will only get worse in my opinion in the future if they keep releasing terrible stuff like this. For the epic of $180, being nearly the price of many high-tier keyboards today like the Wooting and some of its competitors, I find that so BS and hilarious that people would buy a keyboard that probably isn’t worth its high price tag.
Most people consider the G15 to be the first gaming keyboard which launched in 2005. It was pretty much awesome by default and that was within 20 years! ^_^
this is like the old internet explorer meme logitech are literally 5 years too late with this thing and the 180USD price tag is just sad man, in the pass few years keyboard have change so much, things like rainy, zoom, neo make the fancy custom keyboard become something everyone can afford, wooting completely change what gaming keyboard can be yet this thing is just a RK with 3 time the price
Congrats on your collab with a great company like wooting! Appreciate your reviews, I have had a wooting 60HE for a year now and is by far the best I have ever used. Never will be going back to anything else as well.
If 5 years ago somebody told me Razer will become a great peripheral company and logitech will become garbage, i would have bet my life savings against this prediction.
@@TheRealFlamingNinja Yes, they have. (its amazing) Especially in comparison to Logitech. Their mice are *mostly* industry-leading (i.e. Viper v3 pro, DAv3 pro, counter i.e. RVMSE), you know, 8k wireless, great qc, best shapes on the market (though that is subjective), their keyboards are trying (though wooting still has them beat), their headphones are still mid but better than logitech. Logitech meanwhile have been almost going backwards with how bad things have been for them lately. Keyboard releases are dumb, mouse improvements are either nonexistent or minimal (i.e. the GPX 2, g502x), i dont know much about logitech headphones. All while Logitech has been charging more for less.
Until Razer completely remakes the borderline malware that is Synapse and then makes it optional for some of the tournament products like Logi does, they’re not competitive. I’m on the wooting and a Zowie mouse now and god it feels so good to not have all that trash on my PC

It seems like history is repeating itself. The same was happening 10 years ago when they rebranded the G series with the blue logo and all products became flashy. They won the market but it took them quite a while to get QC sorted out
No, it is not. Logitech has been bought by an investment fund in 2021. It takes a few years until the shift becomes clear to the consumer, as old products with a few tweaks are being sold as "new" are being released. As an investment company, you want to maximize profit, while minimizing expenses (this works well for food, agriculture, cars, etc, not so much for "high end" peripherals). This was inevitable, and easily foreseeable for anyone who reads any news, ever. Going forward, Logitech will continue to release "parts bin" products priced as premium, until the investors recoup their money, sell licenses and trademarks, or various divisions are bought by various companies who then churn out various products using the Logitech name (see Philips), or they go bankrupt. The wider context is super important. During the pandemic, sales most likely went up, and based on the really positive but very incorrect forecasts, tons of money would have been invested in the wrong direction, money which now unavailable for fast enough and high quality R&D. As such, churn out old tech which you then try to pass as "current gen", fresh, flagship, etc. Sadly, it takes a long time until this becomes clear in the sales figures. Expect many years of even worse products.
I guess the TLDR with most of those vids are: you don't have money to buy Wooting? Save up and buy Wooting. You have more money and wanna buy something else that's not Wooting, you buy Wooting. jokes aside great vid 🙏

After waiting years for a full size 915 upgrade with USB C and optical keys, they released this new one with USB A, no upgrades and no full size. I finally bought an ASUS ROG Strix Scope II after that a few months ago and been incredibly happy with it. Had all the features I wanted and then some. Such as pre-lubed keys and sound dampening foam. Looks, feels, and sounds amazing. Still no rapid trigger mode yet.

As a casual gamer, I love my $7CAD ergonomic mk710 value village special and I have very few, very minor issues with my $80CAD MX master 3s Kijiji special. Logitech is good at what they're passionate about, and it's clear they're not passionate about gaming, they just saw a growing market, and then saw they didn't have to try for people to buy their stuff. Especially when it comes to manufacturing a southpaw version of their ergonomic designs.
I mostly ignore keyboard stuff, as I'm happy with mine. I knew wooting was a brand, but I knew nothing about the product. That rapid trigger tech is super cool
logi is not even releasing their budget mouse series like successor to g305, g703, g102 which were legendary mice , what are they doing with all the resources ??
I have the G703 Lightspeed and I'm extremely satisfied with it. I tried different mouses, even the flagships from Logitech but returned them all and stayed with G703.
The curse of big public companies - their stock price becomes their main product. The resources are sadly going to stock buybacks and dividends. Let's hope they don't lose their way.
Corsair has a keyboard with magnetic switches that has variable actuation points and rapid trigger and the ability to map 2 keystrokes to one key for example a light press of the "W" key would make an in game character walk but a harder press would make them run
Not really. In term of pure gaming competitive-ness Wooting is still on top. The typing feel are trash but you can't argue with the input responsiveness. Custom keyboard are now trying to do hall effect, but their software is more often than not pure junk and their implementation of features like rapid trigger is all over the place. It's a new layout RUclips was testing out. Premium subscribers got early access so that RUclips could gauge how well people would adapt/like it. The comments and video description were smashed to the side, kinda like you would have on YT Shorts, and if you scrolled down to where the comments would normally be, it looked like the homepage of RUclips with more video recommendations in the grid-like display. Needless to say people didn't respond so well to the layout. I personally wrote a review on their survey saying that while I appreciated the effort, they can fuck off. I like seeing the community over having more videos shoved in my face, if I needed that I'd just go back to the homepage or open a new tab.
putting thumb clusters on your custom wooting keyboard would take your project to the next level. Imagine wooting switches on something like a dygma defy. One giant space bar is wasted real estate on a gaming keyboard and 95% of designers/manufactures haven't realized this.
I've quit Logitech products long time ago. Gave them a try at some point when that new fancy gaming mouse was released, returned it immediately because sand-paper like "grip" is about the polar opposite of "good for RSI". Moved on to Sharkoon mice and now its just Razor Basilisk. Got everything and NO "sticky" click-of-death issues AND the famous "free spin" scroll wheel. And well, the last Logitech keyboard I bought was the G710 with MX blue switches, so thats been quite some time ago, too. These days? I'm using a Royal Kludge 98, with a bunch of fancy keycaps and the Box Jade switches waiting to be installed.
My last Logitech experience this year: I ordered a MX Mechanical and a MX Mechanical Mini. The MX Mechanical had a warped case. The Mini lost Bluetooth connection once in a while. Doesn't feel like a premium experience in my opinion. I bought a second Keychron. I'm happy now.
The only switches where you can adjust the trigger point would be hall effect (magnetic). Optical switches are a dead giveaway and usually used in cheaper boards. Not even a good selection of switches for optical imo.

The only one even close is the Basilisk V3 but that doesn't have a side scroll wheel and their version of smart shift just isn't as fluid and responsive as Logitech's.

Damn, has Logitech support taken a nose dive? They treated me insanely well around 2019ish, after which they had my loyalty.

That’s the thing about sheer market dominance. You don’t even have to try anymore to get the sales
I want that Optimum x Wooting keyboard
Hopefully it's just the case and keycaps or else I'll have to get a second 60he just for this
So many big companies are just going cheap.

I still like the ergonomics on the g915, but the quality for the price is insulting, same thing with the keycaps and the battery is getting worse FAST

0:38 didn't heard "Logitech is awesome" for last 20 years even once :)
True. Logitech has literally never made good keyboards.
For the epic of $180, being nearly the price of many high-tier keyboards today like the Wooting and some of its competitors, I find that so BS and hilarious that people would buy a keyboard that probably isn’t worth its high price tag.
hey! my G710+ lasted me 11 years and i only just replaced it this year... with a non logitech keyboard

and the 180USD price tag is just sad man, in the pass few years keyboard have change so much, things like rainy, zoom, neo make the fancy custom keyboard become something everyone can afford, wooting completely change what gaming keyboard can be
yet this thing is just a RK with 3 time the price

Has Razer really improved that much? I've been burned by them too many times to ever buy one of their products again.

Not really. In term of pure gaming competitive-ness Wooting is still on top. The typing feel are trash but you can't argue with the input responsiveness. Custom keyboard are now trying to do hall effect, but their software is more often than not pure junk and their implementation of features like rapid trigger is all over the place. Needless to say people didn't respond so well to the layout. I personally wrote a review on their survey saying that while I appreciated the effort, they can fuck off. I like seeing the community over having more videos shoved in my face, if I needed that I'd just go back to the homepage or open a new tab.

Illogicaltech
I usually never watch a video and buy a product right after.
But after watching this and your Wooting keyboard review, I bought it.
Fantastic reviews!
putting thumb clusters on your custom wooting keyboard would take your project to the next level. Imagine wooting switches on something like a dygma defy. One giant space bar is wasted real estate on a gaming keyboard and 95% of designers/manufactures haven't realized this.
a GAMING COMPANY run by a CEO with beauty as a priority. absolute joke
I love you brutal honesty. Keep it up, mate.
the amount of riding this man is doing on wooting, is crazy. I'm here for it.
Gradient keycaps look fire. Definitely go with them
I've quit Logitech products long time ago.
THANK YOU for your expertise we need more people like you to open leming's eyes worldwide!
Rapid Trigger became also available on my SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL (early version, not the new 2023) via Software upgrade long time ago.
Love you, bro. You're amplifying our voice...
When the Superlight 2 came out, I bought it immediatly, but went back to the Superlight 1 after a few days.. I preordered the wooting 80he and im super excited!
Why optimum makes the best reviews.
This is what he did...
1. Product Introduction
2. Product Comparison to show contrast in price to performance
3. Technicals - only pointing out the selling point
4. Verdict
5. Highlighting the reason
6. After calling Logitech out, he gave a constructive feedback and even complimenting them on their past products.
7. Making sure the viewers knows that its okay to get the keyboard if you like it.
8. Sugesstions to viewers if you're gonna spend $180 might as well get the wooting.
Short and Sweet.
Other reviewers would've went on a long 20 min rampage on the keyboard.
Love the transparency on partnerships, keep up the good work
I can not even afford a computer...I would love to have that logitech keyboard... its a start. I really like your new design with the grey gradient, it looks dapper.
That carbon transition to graphite is really nice on the eyes. If the keyboard you showed happened to go on sale, I'd probably buy that to be honest. Logitech is still my go to for my family. I assume they are buffing the low end at the expense of the "top" end. Margins are crappy right now.
Love my Keychron Q1 HE.
Wireless, hall effect switches, metal chasis, rgb, volume knob, etc.
