Cheers for this excellent recap of the whole situation!! 🙏🙏
As a Warriors fan, IF we get Markkanen instead, I'll be glad this PG deal fell through.
    Time will tell. 😊🤞

Warriors dodged a bullet - too much money for a player that age and with little post season success. You seem to be thinking more like a fan and not a GM

We'll see if this 'wonderful deal' looks as good 4 years from now when PG is 38 and making $50+ mil.
no disrespect to PG, but these super max deals make me queasy, look how many of the superstar teams haven't done much and superstar is no insurance from injury

The Clippers could've got 3 washing machines and 5 refrigerators for Paul George. 🤦

Swish, dude you've got to learn about the collective bargaining agreement, please man. Because your not educating yourself and the business aspect of the NBA. First of all, the Clippers aren't the only team to allow a player to simply walk away for nothing. The Warriors did the exact same thing. Why? Because with the new rule changes at the collective bargaining agreement, teams are wanting to get under the salary cap to avoid losing draft picks, luxury tax etc. Had the Clippers signed Paul George his market value, they would have been stuck with a bad contract with a player that has a history of being injury prone, have you forgotten that? Plus I've told you numerous times over and you keep (ignoring) it. I've told you a player only holds his value with the team that drafted him, and each and every time that player is moved, his value drops. So in this case, George carried no value with the Clippers, plus they wouldn't have received anything close to equal value in return, plus they would have inherited back contracts from other teams to make the trade work had they did a sign and trade, "think about it". See your videos speaks solely on the players rather than educating your audience on the business side of the NBA. A players talent means nothing in the NBA. The Clippers would have been a fool to sign George to that kind of deal, that was a smart move on the Clippers behalf.

No matter how you look at it this move wasn’t smart for the Clippers. They offered PG a low ball because they thought no one would give him a high offer.

@@noctwice You only made my point, why would they offer him his market value with the current roster? Answer that. You would pay 50m dollars to a guy that's injury prone? It's not like this team is equipped to make a deep run in the playoffs, they'll be good to make it through the season. Fans truly need to educate themselves on ths business of the NBA, and stop focusing on the names on the back of the jersey and the talents. Swish never does that. But then this is why NBA players lack respect for fans, because lack knowledge on the details of the business. Don't take this personal just because your fond of Swish, because he knows my angle and he respects it. He never takes it personal. In fact, often times he'll produce videos repeating my points I've made months earlier.

@@jameswarner300 The Clippers had choices. They could have extended him then trade and get back expiring salary, picks and/or prospects. They could have traded him to a preferred destination if he opted into his existing contract. They probably wouldn’t have gotten back as much but again this would have been better than what they got which was nothing. End of this process they lost four firsts and PGA who is now an all star all NBA talent and have nothing to show for it. Of course they weren’t getting equal value ever. That isn’t the point. Getting nothing makes the Clippers the absolute loser of the off season.
