Andy Gibb was my first crush!!!!! He’s Barry’s little twin , 12 years younger. His brothers, especially Barry, wrote and produced his songs. He was a huge thing among teenage girls and had 3 straight number one hits. The plan was for him to join The Bee Gees when he got older. The backing vocals are The Bee Gees.
Yeah Amber you go girl, you have great taste!! I was a HUGE fan of the Bee Gees & Andy Gibb. I also had a crust on Barry GIbb (swoon) and my older sister loved Andy Gibb but hey I had posters of Bee Gees and Andy on my wall, he was so adorable & everyone was so heartbroken over the news of Andy's passing. Ms Amber, your reaction to how gorgeous Andy Gibbons was is priceless! I don’t blame you on this one because I had the same reaction when I first saw him too. His voice was as stunningly handsome as his looks. One Andy Gibb song that I’m surprised that nobody has recommended so far that I’d recommend is “Desire!” I guarantee that you will love this one too.
The plan with Andy Gibb was that he was suppose to have a Solo Carrer for awhile and sing Part time with the Bee Gees. The Bee Gees wrote and performed backing Vocals for Andy. Andy was announced as joining the Bee Gees full time but passed away before that could happen. Andy Gibb was 30 Years old when he passed away.
This was the #1 song of 1978 in the USA!!! He had several huge hits. He was right up there with his brothers in the late 70's. My favorite song of his is "I Just Want To Be Your Everything," which was another of his huge #1 hits. :)
He had some good songs and performed with his brothers. He was not right up with brothers though. Bee Gees backed him up on songs and without them probably would have been a blip. Sad he died so young.
@@Scott_P869 On the charts, he was always battling with them. In fact, one week the top 5 had 4 songs that were written by the Bee Gees: 1. Night Fever.... 2. Stayin' Alive....... 3. Andy died just a few days after his 30th birthday of a myocarditis, an enlarged heart, due to his previous use of cocaine. It was sad because he was so popular and talented.
Myocarditis is a virus but the cocaine had weakened his heart making him more susceptible to getting the virus. Sadly he was clean and kicked the cocaine when he got sick and died in 3 days. On the way to the hospital in the ambulance he asked his mother "Can I die from this?"

Andy Gibb was Amazing!!! He died in 1988 He was only 30 years old and I was in High School when it happened I cried and I still do today. 😥😢😢 Always loved his music 🎶 🎵 ❤️
I watched an interview with Barry who said his brother Andy was incredibly shy and reserved, until he hit the stage, and then he shined. I remember Andy being on the tv show Solid Gold in the early 80's, as a performer and co-host. Barry was right, that was his time to shine with confidence and swagger.

Loved both(crush-wise)and of course loved Bee Gees as a whole, first and then Andy came along and man, I was smitten🥰 But, truly, great talent, all 4! Rip to Andy, Maurice and Robin 💔
Amber's reaction cracked me UP!! She reacted just like every woman did when Andy Gibb came on the scene....that smile....like....DAAAAAAMN!!! Such a handsome man...all of us girls back in the day had his poster on our walls. YUM!!!🥰🥰
"Shadow Dancing", "Love Is Thicker Then Water" and "I Just Want To Be Your Everything" are Andy's first 3 releases that all hit #1. You must react to all 3. 1 down 2 to go. :-)
I've seen this reaction 3 times already and it cracks me up every time that Barry's "biggest fan" didn't recognize the background voices!!!! I'm still laughing as I'm typing. LOL!!!! And Amber, your reaction to Jordan's clueless comment is classic!!!
Amber, the look on your face in the first minute of this song is priceless! Do I detect a new crush? Also you guys should react to the Bee Gees song "You Should Be Dancing". There is a video of all four brothers performing it together!
That's why she turned to Jordan and said "don't get mad, but..." and then chose her words very carefully to avoid drawing attention to her physical response. Jordan was too thunderstruck to find there was a fourth Gibb brother who not only sounded like Barry, but was his spitting image of the eldest male Gibb sibling.
When I was but a preteen girl, Andy Gibb was EVERYTHING to me! He was my Justin Timberlake. I had his posters on my wall and a locket with his picture. When he died, I cried so hard. Loved him so much. The Bee Gees were the back up singers by the way
Andy Gibb was a true heartthrob- he had the talent, the confidence, and the looks. He did a couple of beautiful duets with Olivia Newton-John (another Aussie with a gorgeous voice and looks to match). Please check them out when you get a chance. Love to both of you and your beautiful children☮ ❤❤
@@teviottilehurst My mistake. I apologize. I was thinking about it later and remembered that Olivia was also born in England and moved to Australia. I didn't know that Andy was also. Honestly believed he was born in Australia.
I adored Andy Gibb and was devastated when he passed. He had just turned 30. More of his great songs are I just want to be your everything, Flowing Rivers, Don't throw it all away our love, Rest you love, Man on fire
Yes Amber gets it! Andy was too fine and had all the girls nearly fainting! He was my crush out of the Bee Gee's, the brothers were were too old for me! This was very late 70's I was only 9 or 10! It was totally a heartbreak when he died!
Walking to lunch recently and someone had this cranking in their car and I was in glory! Couldn't stop humming the song for days! Amazing and classic toe-tapper!
He was so awesome! Barry produced him!! Aw how we cried when he died, He fought addictions but his heart gave out so young so sad... Love you 4EVER Andy and all the BeeGees!
Andy was a complete heartthrob, his looks, his voice, and knowing he was the baby brother of our idols it was as if all of us fans adopted him as a teen idol, he was terrific. You should try 'An everlasting love' next, the studio version please.
I've been trying for months to get J to listen to Robin sing. No disrespect to Barry, who does have an incredible voice, but there would be no Bee Gees without Barry and Robin's voices mixed together. They just need to get to the songs from the 60's, they're so much better than the songs from the 70's.
You mentioned that he looked like Barry, they often said that like Maurice and Robin were twins, Andy was Barry's "twin" just born 12 years later (or so).
RIP Andy He was the first of the Gibbs to pass away at only 30 :-(. Andy was the youngest, but he was the first to pass away (from drugs). He was on stage with his brothers in the video to You Should Be Dancing. Love seeing all 4 of them together! That's Barry singing background!
Watch an evening with the bee gees on British ITV tv and Barry Gibb reveals that he died from a heart defect that was missed during a routine medical visit to his doctor
His actual cause of death was a condition called myocarditis which he had been born with but was initially considered non life threatening. But his drug addiction did cause this change by weakening his already damaged heart more than it could handlec
I did not want to watch Andy Gibb reactions because of how his life ended. It was heartbreaking. Man, I loved his Music. But I'm busting a gut watching Amber's reaction.😂😂 She is so funny! That dude had looks and a voice. Give him his respect!
It was so much fun to watch you guys react to Andy. I had the same reaction in 1978. I just adored him. It says a lot that the song and singer can still create that feeling 44 years later.
This is such a delightful reaction all-round! 😂🤗😘 Amber's _"Be Still My Beating Heart"_ moment - looking like a lady from *Bridgerton* as she hastily fans herself while having an attack of the vapours... 🥰 Meanwhile, Jay is apparently oblivious, just grooving away to the vibe... 😂
Amber, your reaction when you first heard his voice was priceless!!! Please don't wait too long to listen to "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" and "An Everlasting Love." I remember having a huge crush on Andy back in the day. Now, I want to listen to his songs all weekend long. We lost him too soon.
Andy was really good in his time. Big brother Barry did a lot of the background singing. They really wanted him to join the BeeGees but sadly he died at 30.
Amber's reaction her face was a Kodak moment, and J is so into these guys he is moving like a bowl of jello, u 2 r the best....damn u do it right.....!!!
He passed away from Inflammation in his heart, a Viral infection, his heart was weakened through so many years of drugs, Alcohol use. He was 30 years old. Such a great voice...
He was part of the Miami cocaine scene during the "Miami Vice" times in south Florida. Barry begged him to stop doing it and that it was killing him. His heart attack was because of the damage the cocaine did.
The brothers did a lot of the back up vocals etc. for Andy, and he most certainly was definitely a heartthrob. My sister had more pictures and posters of Andy than I could count, (I was probably 4 or 5 at the time), and not a day went by that she wasn't playing her 8-track tape of his ... oh wait, you're too young to know what 8-track tapes were. (Giggle!) Love you guys!
I remember watching on RUclips the tribute the Gibb brothers did for Andy in their concert . They sang first with home movies on the big screen then it broke into him on screen performing. I saw they were all emotional. The song was 'Don't Throw it all Away'. A must see. Brings you to tears.
i love seeing the magic of his voice and this song washing over her face. reminds me of me the first time i heard it on the radio. her facial reactions really hit in all the spots that i felt the same magic sooo many years ago.
Y'all's reaction to this song and video is cracking me up. It is a blast watching Amber crush on Andy Gibb. The dude definitely had it all. He has a fairly large library of songs, including duets, despite having a short career. So many hits that deserve to be hits. Jay - I appreciate your freedom in getting into the songs. It is obvious that you are full of it -> groove, funk and love of music, that is. Stay hungry, you two.

Loved both(crush-wise)and of course loved Bee Gees as a whole, first and then Andy came along and man, I was smitten🥰 But, truly, great talent, all 4! Rip to Andy, Maurice and Robin 💔
J getting down to disco while wearing an AC/DC lid is absolutely priceless!
Dude, have you seen Foo Fighters covering Bee Gees? It is awesome! 😎
LMAO 🤣... 🤣.. I JUST NOTICED THAT! 😆
Amber's reaction cracked me UP!! She reacted just like every woman did when Andy Gibb came on the scene....that smile....like....DAAAAAAMN!!! Such a handsome man...all of us girls back in the day had his poster on our walls. YUM!!!🥰🥰
Yes I did , yes I did !!!
"Shadow Dancing", "Love Is Thicker Then Water" and "I Just Want To Be Your Everything" are Andy's first 3 releases that all hit #1. You must react to all 3. 1 down 2 to go. :-)
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Omg Thicker than Water!!!! Yes! Great song!! All these really take me back, love it!!
I've seen this reaction 3 times already and it cracks me up every time that Barry's "biggest fan" didn't recognize the background voices!!!! I'm still laughing as I'm typing. LOL!!!!
And Amber, your reaction to Jordan's clueless comment is classic!!!
I had such a crush on him back in the day. My heart melted evertime he sang. 🥴😍
Ditto 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Amber, the look on your face in the first minute of this song is priceless! Do I detect a new crush? Also you guys should react to the Bee Gees song "You Should Be Dancing". There is a video of all four brothers performing it together!
Yes! Lol I saw it too! She was trying not to blush too hard!
The look on her face reminded me of the looks my friends and I had when this first came out. Missing his voice.
I had one on Andy. We shared birthday's. Listen to Andy the the Bee Gees singing WORDS
Yes I agree 👍💯
When I was but a preteen girl, Andy Gibb was EVERYTHING to me! He was my Justin Timberlake. I had his posters on my wall and a locket with his picture. When he died, I cried so hard. Loved him so much. The Bee Gees were the back up singers by the way
Wifey is feeling some type of way. And hubby too busy groovin 😂 Which is how it went for all couples. When Andy did his thang.
Since when are Manchester, England born artists Aussies. He was born and died English.
@@teviottilehurst My mistake. I apologize. I was thinking about it later and remembered that Olivia was also born in England and moved to Australia. I didn't know that Andy was also. Honestly believed he was born in Australia.
@@bobshort2149 I also thought that Andy was born in Australia to be Honest .
Born in Manchester,died in Oxford
I adored Andy Gibb and was devastated when he passed. He had just turned 30. More of his great songs are I just want to be your everything, Flowing Rivers, Don't throw it all away our love, Rest you love, Man on fire
I loved that Amber was gushing over Andy while J was grooving, totally oblivious to Amber’s reaction. Priceless!
Yes Amber gets it! Andy was too fine and had all the girls nearly fainting! He was my crush out of the Bee Gee's, the brothers were were too old for me! This was very late 70's I was only 9 or 10! It was totally a heartbreak when he died!
You have to listen to either Andy or Barry singing "Words". One of the most beautiful, romantic song either ever did!!!
Andy Gibb was my first crush! One of my favorite Christmas presents ever was an Andy Gibb sweatshirt!
Andy was a complete heartthrob, his looks, his voice, and knowing he was the baby brother of our idols it was as if all of us fans adopted him as a teen idol, he was terrific. You should try 'An everlasting love' next, the studio version please.
"I just want to be your everything" was another big hit from Andy. Probably his biggest.
Andy was the first solo artist in history to have his first three singles hit Number Ones on the US Pop charts
Andy Gibb was second concert. I was 14 and sooo madly in love.🥰 I still have my original Andy albums 💖
You need to hear one where Robin is singing lead, like “I Started a Joke” ! Way before they’re disco stuff.
Robin had amazing voice that wasn't heard very often.
I've been trying for months to get J to listen to Robin sing. No disrespect to Barry, who does have an incredible voice, but there would be no Bee Gees without Barry and Robin's voices mixed together. They just need to get to the songs from the 60's, they're so much better than the songs from the 70's.
Most people don’t know that the BeeGees had #1 hits in 60s with Robin as the lead singer.
Yes, I believe its Robin singing the lead on Massachusetts as well; I think they all sing on New York Mining Disaster
and Words is a great Barry lead song
You mentioned that he looked like Barry, they often said that like Maurice and Robin were twins, Andy was Barry's "twin" just born 12 years later (or so).
Oooo We I had Andy Gibb posters plastered all over my bedroom. I just adored him.
@@christopherrobertson8098 Thank you. A lot of people say an overdose
Andy Gibb "I Just want to be your everything"
I did not want to watch Andy Gibb reactions because of how his life ended. It was heartbreaking.
Man, I loved his Music. But I'm busting a gut watching Amber's reaction.😂😂 She is so funny! That dude had looks and a voice. Give him his respect!
Ahh the good old days when all I did was kiss my Andy Gibb poster goodnight every night 😂😂😬
It was so much fun to watch you guys react to Andy. I had the same reaction in 1978. I just adored him. It says a lot that the song and singer can still create that feeling 44 years later.
I cried like a baby when Andy passed away. So young and So Talented!!! Rip
"I just wanna be your everything.". andy gibb ... Classic 🔥🔥
In the late 70's, he was a teen heart throb. He made all the girls crazy.
Yes! Been waiting for this one. Jordan just might have a new love after this. 🥰
Maybe but I dont think he will...he already called him 🤔 a branch...but what a lovely family tree...right.
This is such a delightful reaction all-round! 😂🤗😘
Amber's _"Be Still My Beating Heart"_ moment - looking like a lady from *Bridgerton* as she hastily fans herself while having an attack of the vapours... 🥰
Meanwhile, Jay is apparently oblivious, just grooving away to the vibe... 😂
Amber will totally swoon over him singing "I Just Want To Be Your Everything"
Yes I agree 👍💯
This was bumpin'. Now hit "I Just Wanna Be Your Everything."
God blessed their whole family with talent.
I mean seriously, and the sister can sing as well , she filled in when Robin left the group for awhile
Barry wrote this song
Amber's reaction her face was a Kodak moment, and J is so into these guys he is moving like a bowl of jello, u 2 r the best....damn u do it right.....!!!
Andy Gibb was a heartthrob back in the day. He was on the cover of all the tenny bopper magazines and was every school girls' crush. LOL
He passed away from Inflammation in his heart, a Viral infection, his heart was weakened through so many years of drugs, Alcohol use. He was 30 years old. Such a great voice...
Yes very sad he was just starting his peak
He died of Myocarditis it is inflammation of the heart muscle The inflammation can reduce the heart's ability to pump blood.
He was part of the Miami cocaine scene during the "Miami Vice" times in south Florida. Barry begged him to stop doing it and that it was killing him. His heart attack was because of the damage the cocaine did.
Myocarditis
@@p.j.morris633 due to broken heart is why he took drugs for so long.
Yes Andy was a heartthrob, and those are his brothers singing background.
Yes my favorite. Wished they’d do a reaction to the ONO concert 1997 their tribute to Andy is beautiful ❤️
i love seeing the magic of his voice and this song washing over her face. reminds me of me the first time i heard it on the radio. her facial reactions really hit in all the spots that i felt the same magic sooo many years ago.
That was Barry on backing vocals. I loved, loved, loved Andy Gibb. He was actually classified as "pop".
Andy Gibb sings a cool songs
1. I just want to be your everything
2. Don't throw it all away
I loved Andy Gibb. another Gibb brother doing well but unfortunately, gone way way too soon! At least we can listen to him and appreciate what he gave us
