Had to do some modifications to get everything to fit under the bodies..
Blue Typhon setup:
-Castle 1010-5600kv motor with x2 esc
-Hot Racing 16t pinion
-HOT RACING cvd axles F/R
-HOT RACING wheelie bar
-Amazon shocks for 1/18 scale crawler
-Zeee 1500mah 3s battery 50c pack
-6channel spektrum avc receiver
-Traxxas 4tec slick wheels 12mm hex
-Granite grom front bumper
Red Typhon setup:
-Castle 1007-6350kv motor with x2 esc
-Hot Racing 17t pinion
-GPM F/R cvd axles
-GPM F/R hub carriers
-GPM rear differential cover
-Amazon shocks for 1/18 scale crawler
-Losi mini-t 2.0 front bumper
-Contact foam tires 38 shore 26mm wide
-Spektrum 3channel receiver
-Hoova 2200mah 3s 50c battery

Just in case you do another typhon from with the 1007 motor…. Instead of trimming that center brace, I removed the 3 screws holding the motor face on and turned it so that the wires from the motor are on the other side when I screw on the motor mount

Put a Reefs Micro 99 Servo in that little monster ! Sick little build. I might build me one. I have a Mini T 2.0 with a 8000kv TP power mini motor in it and Mamba Micro esc. Its a little rocket.

I have a 1007-6350 for my Typhon Grom with an 18T pinion. What motor mount did you use? I bought a GPM mount but can't get more than one screw to line up with the Castle motor....
I bought the motor mount pack and im running a 16T in mine with that motor. With the 5650kv motor im running a 17T pinion and my granite grom im running the 0808 -5300kv with a 18t pinion with factory mount. I bought the gpm mounts but didnt need them.
@@MrMeDos and you're able to line up two screws with a castle without having to mod the chassis? I'm not sure what I'm getting wrong!

Honestly bro, its a trim to fit situation. Just take your drimmel tool and start to remove the plastic around the motor terminals until your able to close it completely. Depending on the length of your motor can, you will lose the center screw hole, but its okay, you have plenty of support on both ends where the majority of screws lock in. Or other option is to get a universal motor mount and that way, you may not have to shave the center cover. Since that motor mount will allow you to use different set holes on the motor to screw on the plate. therefore you can possibly rotate the motor more so it doesn't interfere with the cover.

@@Desauce512yessir. I didnt want to wait lol. The drive shaft cover cost the same as a sliding motor mount🤷🏾♂️ sooo… yeahh i chopped’em. Lol.
Nice what tires on the granite also on the 6 and 5 thousand kv motors you run 2 or 3s? Thinking of one of those or the 4400kv combo for my 1/12 rlaarlo. Thinking 4400kv cus I got a adjustable motor mount up to 27 tooth pinion
im running 3s on all of them, 17t in 6350kv and 16t 5600kv. if you get the 4400kv you can run 4s. go with the 4400kv

Question I got my Typhon Grom last week I don’t like the transmitter at all to small for my big hands will any brand 2.4 GHZ transmitter work with the stock spectrum receiver ?

You can get an SLT3. It's the standard transmitter size instead of the smaller sized SLT2

The four bolts at the bottom. Bolts right up. Hot racing wheelie bar. Fits granite and typhon grom
which typhon is the fastest?
To be honest bro, i havent been able to tell. Im still at 75% throttle and still cant pin the throttle down. The blue i got upto 47mph so far and that was maybe half throttle before it starts to veer to the right. Still working on throttle control and keeping them straight. Making something go fast that wasn’t designed to go fast is the tricky part.

I have it in 2 of them, one in the granite and one in the blue typhon. it helps the granite out a lot. the blue one you can tell as well. AVC definitely helps, now it just moves the issue to the next weakest point, the steering link flexing because its plastic. So its a work in progress.. We will get there eventually. If I can hit 70mph im happy. that my goal. thanks for watching.
