I was told at the Nationals this one was quiet, I guess they were not quite right. I want one of these regardless. Awesome tech and chat!!! Love the size comparisons burp.
It's not too bad on a crawlmaster inrunner or sensored puller , but it's the same noise as you would expect from any other castle esc since the X was released. Outrunner...your viewers will not like you
Was actually waiting for a video on this to drop from you lol. Awesome info. I actually just installed a micro x2 in my trx4 sport with a new puller pro stubby in the 2700kv flavor and my new shv500lp I just got. Geared low on 3s and I love it!! Super smooth start up and low speed control thanks to your esc config videos john. Love the products and the knowledge I get from you! Keep it up!
happy to see this ESC come out, not a crawler guy but i've always wanted to build a small scale high volt truck (eyeing Mini E revo size) i wish i could find a small 6s capable, but this with an appropriate motor could work nicely
I run a micro x in like 5-6 trucks now. All of them have a 2500kv revolver except one with a 2200kv revolver. I've never had one over heat or give me any trouble but my rigs are geared low and I'm slow and steady!
I've have x2 slate combo and want to try the revolver 2500 on my element. But can't decide on the purchase because I didn't hear him recommend that kv for revolver lol
Just stuck it in the ecto an programmed it an it does wonderful!!! I can definitely tell you had your hands in on the design, paired it with a 540 revolver V3 an man that start-up an low speed control is beautiful. If I had to choose between the copperhead10 an the MMX2 I'd chose the micro X2 an I have both lol.
Planning on running this ESC in my 1/14 LC racing rigs on 3s (rigs like the EMB-1 truggy, EMC-SCT, etc.). I am using TP Power 2940 motors (they are 29 x 67). Going to be a lot of fun, for sure!
I love your videos. Thank you so much for the detailed reviews and tutorials that you give. I know this ESC can be used for crawlers but what about out on the trails? The castle site says not for rock racing or hill climbing for 1/10 scale vehicles I just want to put this in my FMS jimny with my Holmes 3200 sensored crawler motor or if i have to ill drop it down to my 2400 crawler motor.
I'm using one of these with a blackjacket 2650kv and it just stops, multiple times during a single battery. It's in a VRD carbon 6.5lbs with 9t pinion. If I walk up and push the car after it freezes it runs fine for a while. External BEC running servo. Nothing gets hot.
@@HolmesHobbies No I haven't. That would be a big bummer if that's the only way it will work. I'll try that. My first sensored motor and esc combo. Kinda regret it, should have left the fusion pro in lol
Returning back to the hobby after many years. Not a complete stranger to the Castle Creations products but need some guidance on which motor is best suited for top speeds on pavement only in a 1/16 scale car/buggy? Should I simply stick with the 5300Kv motor option?
I threw one into an Axial Yeti Jr. with one of your revolver 380's and it's awesome. Will be buying another for my CFX i think - first Castle product I've tried in a crawler and I'm super impressed.
Awesomeness Holmes is the man love your products keep them coming I am running the copperhead 10 paired with a revolver 540 v2 2700 in my trx4, and it loves to crawl thank you very much sir!!!
So what receivers can you run with the mamba X2 because I’ve tried a lot of different 4 channel receivers and they don’t turn on whenever I plug them in with a battery connected to the esc and everything but my receiver still doesn’t turn on
I have a micro x2 that i bought to pair with my HH 2500kv snubnose revolver for my Redcat Fusion crawler. is the 2500kv to high kv for the micro x2? If not where can I find a guide on settings for this setup? Im still getting some cogging on the low end. For what i want to do with this truck id much rather have a lot lower kv but its just what I have for now.
Your videos are amazing. Very informative and genuine. Much appreciated. At 4:40 in the timeline what chassis is that? Mind showcasing it? Would like to know more about cheater rigs 😊
Just got into the hobby last year - after TRX4 Sport and Axial Bomber builds, I am going to try a RC4WD Bully II motor on axle build. I've ordered two V3 Revolvers and have really been stuck on the ESC. I wanted to pair it with something like the BR mini (or preferably a dual BR mini), but there is nothing available (f'ing supply chains...). So I went for the Micro X - purchased two of them and am waiting on shipping. Now I find out there is a new one - the X2 which does 4S. Do I return these or do I just hold on to them and wait for an improved dual option down the road that may also have the added benefit of silencing the two revolvers a tad (not that I care, but my dogs might...). I'll be honest... I am starting to really understand the benefits of the Fusion motors with integrated ESC's - especially on a Bully II build.
Sir holmes, there is a need in the rc community that I cannot seem to find anywhere. Maybe you could help me. My little cousin absolutely loves his capra, unfortunately, he doesn't unplug the darn thing. He's ruined two batteries after reaching lipo cutoff and letting the lights discharge it below 3v per cell. (3s) I know I can recharge them with the nihm workaround, but I would love it if I could find a LVC that plugged into the xt60 on the capra and then the battery plugged into the other side. Such a system would be a great addition to new and young members of the hobby, as well as some older forgetful guys (I regularly crawl with a few) An inline main LVC system would be perfect for most crawler situations and I honestly don't understand why they're not already a thing. I love your videos! Running your motors in most of my rigs!
The parasitic drain of a bulk LVC device would also drain the battery down. Have you seen the dead switches that powershift makes? Maybe add that with a status LED so you don't forget the rig is still on?
When you finally release the Crawlmaster V2 will you do a comparison? Have two sets of purple servos and both kv purple motors, so been waiting on that ESC to release. Tempted by this to get one of them rigs running since the V2 seems to keep getting delayed.
Trying to be patient for cm v2 you are tempting me with this. Would it work good for dlux asylum with dlux portal transmission 2040kv snubnose revolver?
So I use the xlx2 1100kv combo in my k8s... Why does all castle systems make that breaking wine and start up wine?? Thanks wanting that 2200kv puller for my Revo 2.0 will that be a good motor? Thx
You didn’t mention the internal BEC. Will I need an external BEC or will the internal be enough for a good servo that isn’t direct power? I’ve put externals on all my Mamba Micros so far.
It's always a good idea to use an external with a micro. Even if it was a 5 amp internal (I think it's 2), a small esc has less space to shed heat so it's better to seperate bec power so the unit runs cooler
As always awesome job and informative thank u mister Holmes and I will definitely be trying one was wondering if u had time if u would check out my rigs on RUclips under Sammy boswell your opinion means a lot thanks in advance
Lol! Castle part numbers are the worst! They're way too long and overly complicated when they have no need to be. I can't believe you remembered as much of it as you did. 🤣
I have learned so much of the ins and outs of different aspects of the hobby by watching your videos. Always an entertaining presentation.
That's awesome your hobby turned into a career and big companies recognize your talent. Love your channel.

Mamba x is small and does 6s
I'd say mamba x for go fast 6s mini revo. Take off the fan if space is an issue
I might have to order the 3s 4s combo for my TRX4 Sport. Thank you for the information.

would the micro x2 work with a team associated Tioga cr12 with the 280 2800kv revolver and 1.9 4.19 tires and scx10ii axles
