wow ! talk about a step back into the past .Cocteau twins meets slow dive . 1990's England all over again .Who would have thought that some French hippies would have revived a style of music so close to my soul ??? ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS .trop fort les petits gars !!
this song plays over and over in my head, it's like there's something i've forgotten and it's staring me right in my face. it's a wonderful song and a fantastic album, thank you for uploading it.
Love this ! takes me back to my shoe gazing days , England early 90's listening to Slowdive , Spears of Destiny, Curve and the amazing Cocteau Twins .Love this .Bravo la France , enfin des groupes de qualité qui produisent des sons divins , bien vu Neige.
This album is unbelievably gorgeous. I feel like it's received flack because of the black metal/shoegaze turned pure Shoegaze but I love it. Those shimmering melodies, the hazy sound, it sounds like some of the best shoegaze I've ever heard. Love it or hate it based on what it is (which isn't really deserving of hate), but don't hate it just because it's not black metal. He's just experimenting with sounds. I love it. Ready to see what he brings us next!
I apologise, Alcest... where have I been all these years while knowing of you? Such a heartfelt beautiful band, looking forward to swallowing up your albums. Thankyou for such a gorgeous afternoon, many more to come!
I used to listen to this song all the time last November when Frozen 2 was released at the theater I work at. We a had also recently renovated our biggest auditoriums by that time. The atmosphere of this song, the movie and the renovations just fit perfectly to me for some reason. Regardless of what Alcest does, this is still a beautiful song.
We want to see We want to see Just let us see We want to see We never get old Because we ran Right into the sea And tumbled around in the waves To die with the earth all around We want to see We want to see The sea treated us kind Poured into our open mouths And we knew this was the point when we Would meet for real The day we die To see with our new eyes The day we die To see with our new eyes Just let us see We want to see Our flesh dissolved All along with the flow We held hands through it all The day we sought the flow The day we lay down to sleep To see with our new eyes The day our bones decayed To makes us feel more alive The day we lay down to sleep To see with our new eyes To see with our new eyes The day we lay down to sleep To see with our new eyes The day our bones decayed To makes us feel more alive The day we lay down to sleep To make us feel more alive To make us feel more alive
Neige has always loved shoegaze, so if you don't like this, you don't like the very essence of Neige's music and Alcest. It's fucking beautiful, full of dreaming notes, come on.
I found this song on Spotify and fell in love with it but like they took it away for some reason and it’s only that song but I saw somewhere it’s only the deluxe edition that this song is in. Is there any way we can get this song back on Spotify?? This song is amazing
Holy shit, why did I not know Billie Lindahl did vocals on an Alcest track? Why did I not even know about this track in the first place? Nice surprise!
I loved Alcest from the the moment they released Souveniers... and I love them still, my compilation includes songs from all their albums, and although this song might be on it, it's still a fantastic tune, probably better than Opale... Surely the defining grace of metal is we enjoy the harder songs as much as the finer????
Is shoegaze hipster music? And what constitutes hipster music? If it's something different, then actually his older stuff is more hipster than this. He was one of the first to combine shoegaze and black metal. So souvenirs would be more "hipster" than this
+Cindy Villacis Molina Please define the term "hipster". Moreover, who cares ? What only matters is the music in itself, the way it sounds and the way you feel it. If you don't like it, well that's too bad, but hey, it's only a matter of taste. Personally I really prefer the older Alcest too, but I won't try to discredit this album by labeling it "hipster" or some other crap.
I found this song on Spotify yesterday and I instantly loved it, then I looked them up and found out they are all men and that they played at Hellfest 2022 so I assume they’re kind of metal? And now I’m so confused because I totally love this song and I want more songs like this one, with the female voices :( I didn’t like other songs quite much :( Does anybody know who’s vocals are these?
Listening to it trying to decide to get the normal LP or Deluxe LP box for over twice the price. I think the gold (or silver) vinyl and 48 page book will make the Deluxe worth it. This is what vinyl is all about. And the song is over... getting the Deluxe LP.
Does anybody else think 3.33- 5.53 is extra blissful? I mean I know it's blissful from the start but just saying :'D especially when that chic sings, sooo good T.T
Only in the deluxe edition, if you pre-ordered it, you would have it. Luckily I preordered early January. Probably my fav song in the album. Though I prefer the black metal sound they used to have, oh well, they're still one of my fav bands.
From the deluxe edition book I have, letter for letter inc. spelling errors: "we never get old because we ran right into the sea and tumbled around in the waves to die with the earth all around us our clothes decomposed and our flesh disolved [sic] all along with the minerals we held hands through it all, the day when we vanished the sea treated us kindly poured into our mouths and we knew this was the point when we would meet for real the day we lay down to sleep to see with our new eyes the day our bones decayed to makes us feel more alive the day we lay down to sleep to see with our new eyes. to see with our new eyes. the day we lay down to sleep to see with our new eyes the day our bones decayed to makes us feel more alive the day we lay down to sleep to make us feel more alive to make us feel more alive
When they say "just let us see we want to see" I can't help but think of Birdbox and for some reason paired with this song it somehow feels comedic and I feel bad for laughing

Que belleza! No cabe duda que este álbum tiene una calidad impresionante. Realmente esto es música para el alma
If this wouldn't be on the deluxe, it would be one of the best songs from the album. It gives off such a sad vibe to me, absolutely incredible
I'm so happy that this song lasts 6 minutes but I do really hope there's a 10 mins version it would be so lit !!!

How come this just became unavailable (greyed out) on Spotify?
I wish Audrey Sylvain would have done vocals for this.
TelepathicEpitaph promise and the monster is the next best thing, shes a Swedish goddess.
Sylvain has a less ethereal voice for my taste
Blackgaze at its finest❤❤❤ Alcest is highest form of music ...❤
Hell yeah ! 2014 will be a very good year musically.
