Hi seven years on and thank you for posting . Question on the player I have there is a dead spot on the volume pot that turns out to be missing carbon on the track and the pot needs replaced. I found a dual matching 50k Bx2 but the center tap is not on the middle pin but on the lower pin...does his matter or does the tap have to be the center Pin.. thank you if you've seen this and if you could give some input

If I'm understanding the situation correctly, you should be able to adjust the wiring to accommodate the new pinout. I'm assuming you have a new dual gang pot with each gang having four pins...CT, track edge, wiper, track edge and the original had the CT on the top center with track edge, wiper, track edge at the bottom.

@@MadScientistsLair the only noticeable difference will be in the bass and treeble compensation at low volume.

Hi, my radio feature burnt out on this device and I want to change it. How do I take the front face plate off ? Thanks

You shouldn't have to remove the entire front panel to fix the tuner. I've forgotten the specifics but there might be some nuts under thr knobs holding things in place if the side screws have been undone. A loss of power to the tuner is more likely; ensure its getting power.

Was there a loose screw on the bottom at 4:24 between the two pots?

Yep and I fished it out. It's one of the front panel mounting screws.
