if you try to forget the last 7 years or so and try to remember what 2015 was like, it was the culmination of the previous 10 years zeitgeist of doing provocative and edgy things. This made sense at the time but around 2016-2017 a sudden shift happened and mainstream culture became super pc. For example early 2010s rap music was all about black rappers doing more "white" stuff and blending that culture with edgy white teen culture which made the use of the n word more acceptable, but by the late 2010s it was the opposite, complete pandering to black culture and trying not to offend them in any way. Another example I can think of is how violent and edgy american comics became around 2010 and kept going in that direction until years later, but around 2016 they became completely 'safe' and innocuous in every way, from the content of the stories to the way they relate to the real world

It is pretty ironic that white christian men we're pretty much the first demographic to stand up against the practice of slavery and give women the vote, yet they are also the scapegoat now for basically everything bad that happened in the past. We got rid of slavery in white christian america over 150 years ago, yet its still a very common practice in Africa and the Middle east to this day (and most countries there still have huge inequalities of women vs men)... and we are the evil ones? give me a break. Black leaders in africa sold their own people to jewish merchants (most slave traders were jews) in exchange for goods/weapons and white christian men get blamed for it 200 years later even though we were the first country in recorded history to abolish slavery in a big way.
