This poor guy didn't die of cancer, but smoking still killed him.
Small potatoes compared to the number of people killed by fires started by smoking and discarded cigarettes and cigars, especially innocent lives of people who are simply caught in fires they had nothing to do.
It's that guys voice, helps me get to sleep..
I like all sorts of documentaries but FBI files are my favourite because it' educated us make us more aware n careful about ourselves, our families and our communitys Thanks FBI you guys provide true justice to the victims of God awful crimes, more power to you, hats off to you

@Charlie Mercado 👌 okay, true enough. For some reason I hadn't thought of it 🤔
When they took him down at The FBI office, that was soOo extra! Lol
When you saw a white van and red pick up in your neighborhood so the FBI flies you to Texas and hypnotizes you....😳
I know nothing about crime investigations, but when the woman gives them the rolls of coins, they handle the rolls with bare hands. Wouldn't that obliterate any possibly worth having fingerprints?
@@corneliawissing7950 Yeah, you wouldn't really touch it without gloves. Probably wouldn't get fingerprints off that anyway, but DNA would work.

Long story short fbi thought i was a bank robber because of a baseball hat i wore
@@charleslee1960 I remember a huge news story about a mistaken identity bank robbery arrest based on a baseball hat! Hope that story wasn't yours, but if it was, at least it's an interesting story that most people don't have.
I'm face blind, meaning I'm incapable of seeing, remembering, and recalling faces. I have to recognize people based on specific distinctive traits, such as a crooked nose, shaved head, always wears a ponytail, etc. At my work in a factory, we all wear safety glasses, and when I see coworkers outside of work in a store or something, I have serious trouble placing them until I hear their voice, unless they have a memorable feature. I'm always scared to death that I'm going to witness a crime and be absolutely zero help identifying them! It's super weird to not be able to see and process a face as a whole picture.
pure quality thanks for sharing Real Crime !

Smoking is more dangerous than we thought.
2:20 I'm not convinced this guy knows how to smoke
I wish they would bring these excellent shows back to our screens. They’re all awesome. 🤙
Great old show, my late night friend... hard to believe they didn’t have a tracking device on that van, I worked for an armored car company in the 80’s and even back then they could track them...
For guys who had law enforcement knowledge. They were pretty dumb. Telling girlfriends, blatantly spending large amounts money, meeting openly and still driving the truck they used in the heist. They probably would have got away with it otherwise
They snitched on each other after robbing almost a million dollar and still stay in the country 🤣😆😂🤣😆😂
Cops are not smart. That's why they are cops not career criminals
That's why they were broke bounty hunters. There brains were mud and now their name is mud. 😆
They would of got away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids!
When cigarette smoking kills you in a totally random and unexpected way...
Helps me sleep too💤👍🏼
Glad they got caught.

I live near this location. I remember this crime.
Why would you give the Mrs a few packs of coins?
THIS and UNSOLVED MYSTERIES are the best crime shows ever made hands down.
Excellently presented.
Timothy Ring received the death penalty. Later on a wishy-washy liberal United States Supreme Court overturned his death sentence to life in prison. It is so sickening to see these murderers get off the hook and escape the death penalty due to liberal judges.
I enjoyed watching this..thank you
I am just so obsessed with this programme

When the background music occasionally stops, it's such a relief!
Why do people assume we won't be able to understand spoken words unless they drown the speech with awful music!!!!
Agree
Those charges are minuscule. These guys should be behind bars for life.
Noticed a Loomis _van_ outside my bank recently and was shocked to think they’d be transporting money in a van. Thought that can’t be right, they must be delivering other stuff too, but this robbery has me questioning that
I hope the guy that got hypnotized got the reward.
Also, leave the feds money alone. They'll go to the end of the world to find you.

27:50 way to go Mr. Loose Lips.... I’m sure all future criminals are still thanking you to this day....
Just on time ❤️
Yes indeed 😁
This BGM perfectly suited for crime stories. old is gold
Ummm...the driver shouldn’t have violated protocol. However, the courier had to re-enter the van after collecting the money so the robbery would’ve occurred anyway.
Not so sure coz the driver could have driven off if he suspected robbery was underway but most important thing the DRIVER COULD HAVE NOT BEEN KILLED
A FORENSIC HYPNOTIST?!
The FBI has a very deep talent bench and really does have a tool for everything.
Hypnosis is a placebo but can occasionally work. Help to relax etc... when you relaxed you may start talk and remember more. Be less cautious
Like listening to Anthony narrate. Has voice for that.
No cameras outside the mall? No cameras outside the church? Wtf?
1994
They had cameras in 1994. It wasn’t 1934 for god sakes. Lol.
After 911 there was a dramatic increase in surveillance cameras. Before that, they existed but they weren't as wall-to-wall as they are now. Everything changed in terms of you being relatively unseen, off the grid if you wanted privacy. Then, social media. GUARD YOUR PRIVACY!
They were waiting for you to install them
90’s are not that kind of digitalization the internet that was very slow and more laggy also the cellphone that time was same size of a house cordless phone yes we have cctv that time but only inside the mall and stores of the mall and expensive hotels only.
Great narrator!
Don’t tell your wives about the dirt, Got Damn!
These videos show how good, thorough, and intelligent these officers and agents are. The 3 criminals we're the complete opposite. The only thing that worked out for them, was getting the money. Then it all fell apart and here we are. 99.9% of all people are not capable of thinking out, carrying out, and getting away with these acts. 'Dumb boys, Dumb boy's whatcha going do, watcha going to do, when they come looking for you!'
Well for me i love to watch this kind of stories i really amazed thank you for sharing.. 💖
In 2007 Tim ring's sentence was changed to life with no chance of parole. Which is why criminals keep committing crimes.... They know they could always count on some fool judge to set them free to kill again or at least spare their life for taking someone else's 😬
Most studies show the death penalty is not a deterrent of crime. It’s mostly based on poverty and mental health help. In other words, the best way to stop criminals is by prevention and not by deterrent.
Criminals commit crimes because think they won't get caught.
@@briannawaldorf8485 Not sure what studies you are looking at, Brianna. But, once on death row - the criminal is killed. Nowadays most states have abolished the death penalty so the people that need mental care still won't get the help they need. People that are impoverished also won't get help. It is called a "System" for a reason. These dudes felt that they could beat said system and get the money that the rich folks that rule the government get-they got caught. Cuz in this here system, ya gotta know someone to get away with a crime. Dont be fooled by terminolgy and studies....prevention is not the answer. Money, is. In the words of my fav band "SAD BUT TRUE"
Timothy Ring was
the designated sniper on my tactical team at Perryville state prison. For some reason I always avoided him. There was just something about him that gave me the creeps.
Listen to that inner voice. So many sketchy people I knew in management were eventually caught for something: theft, drug use, covering buddies, but not for their real crime: being ass hats.
... hypnosis isn't just a stage act ... it actually produces worthwhile results .. .
Yeah. A placebo ... still. At ti.es for some people it does the trick.
Makes some more relaxed. Less cautious etc...
Same as lie detector.
@@htcmlcrip Lie detectors are
almost 90% reliable.
@@michaelgallagher3640 thats demonstrably untrue... i mean do look up how and why, indepth, they work?
a lot of things may render false result...
@@htcmlcrip Yeah, doing this isn't actually hypnotising; it's just putting them in the right state of mind to remember better what they saw. Another person in his position might have remembered all of those details without hypnosis and others still wouldn't have remembered anything.

Smoking is injurious to your health, especially it you open the armoured van door to let out the smoke!
Yup smoking kills in more than one way lol
One would think it would be easier and cheaper to fly the hypnotist to them rather than fly the witness along with agents to him
Not if the forensic hypnotist is charging by the hour, which would be several hundred dollars per hour, including his travel time and all travel expenses.
Great ideas in pullin the job . No idea after it .
Are you using liberty mutual's personal customizing tool?

anybody know if the intro guy fbi head of new york does it infront of green screen? or wtf going on in background every time?
Well this confirms it. Smoking is bad for your health.
All this was accomplished because of hypnosis... That's just crazy
Only problem with documentarys is the constant 1 minute talking about what they did in the previous 10 minutes.
Because this was originally made for cable tv and cable channels typically go to commercial break every 11 minutes. Thsts why most shows from the 2000s are either 23 min long or 46 min long because all that extra time was commercials. So they do a recap after every commercial break incase someone just tuned in snd missed the first half. It’s very annoying by today’s standards but was wonderful at the time lol

Is that all a life is worth, some jet ski’s and all terrain vehicles?
Every successful criminal follows these four rules: 1) Never ever say a word to anyone 2) Disassociate yourself from your accomplices 3) Change your bad habits and improve your good ones 4) Move away before you start spending your cash.
5) Don't get rid of your robbery plans by throwing them in the trash; shred and burn them.

The more Street cameras. The better.
The vans were different ?
It's no wonder these vans get ripped off. I can remember bank trucks being surrounded by a dozen armed guards. Clearly in the USA and UK the losses are less than the costs of a dozen armed guards. The odd guards life does not seem to feature.
Not enough murdered guards that's all
