    The day my son was born I heard this song on my way back to the house to get everything ready to bring our newborn baby home. Cant believe I remember this song almost 30 years later. Wife and I still together over 30 years later. Everything changes" is an understatement. Meaning of life?....navigating through change.

    Me too, this is one of the last of the 80s sounding "mall pop" tunes and it definitely sounds like something that would be released sometime around 1987-88, not many songs from 1992 sounded like this, Kathy Troccoli should have been more successful and this song should be getting a lot of airplay on the light rock stations and the variety stations instead of falling into obscurity.

      there were quite a few songs from the early 90's that still had that late 80's sound, probably most likely owing just to the fact that the 80's had just ended. Just like some early 80's songs sound like late 70's stuff.

    • @BreannaMae
      @BreannaMae 6 лет назад +11

      Just because Kathy Troccoli is a Christian singer, doesn't mean every song she sings is Christian. This was actually just an Adult Contemporary Pop style that was popular in the early 90s. This technically isn't a Christian song, but if you want to interpret it as such then go for it. Amy Grant did the same thing, where she was a Christian singer who did an Adult Contemporary Pop cross-over to get a larger fan-base. That was the thing to do back in the early 90s. Nonetheless this is a great song!

      She sang at an illinois Christian teen convention when this song came out...the first words of the song, you came into my life like a ray of light...its not about a man, its about God...so, yeah, it is a Christian song...

    • @jennifercunningham9159
      @jennifercunningham9159 6 лет назад +3

      "You light up my life," was a Christian song about God, back in the 70's, I think...could be late 60's, I'm not an expert...point is, it doesn't have to say God or Jesus to be a Christian song...research the song and lyrics before denouncing a song as hip pop, or adult contemporary

    Thanks to the 1990's Sirius XM channel for bringing me here. First time in at least 10-15 years (as of Feb. 2022)hearing this. I always thought this was sung by Taylor Dayne. Anyhow Kathy was beautiful and when this was a smash hit in spring/early summer '92, I thought she was going to be a big star. Too bad did not work out that way. Now this will be added to my '90's playlist. Great memories about 1992.

      Grunge flipped the script in 1991. 1994 was the g-funk era.

    I heard this on the radio in 1992 but the dj didn't say what it was. I then caught the end of the video on MTV but missed who it was. I never completely forgot it and discovered it here recently and it's an awesome song

    just an okay video..but one of my favorite artists and songs. This so brings back memories of when I first heard this on the radio & discovered Kathy. I also thought at first it was Taylor Dayne, but after falling for her prodigious talents, find she is much more talented. Lustrous singer of pop and ballads, especially "If I Fall In Love". I adore this song.

    Kathys venture into Pop music was short. I remember the first time I heard this I went that is KT but I came from a gospel background. I love all her stuff gospel or pop.

    It was the summer track of 1992 in the UK. Commercial radio played it to death and I loved it but it never really got a lot of publicity apart from that, which is why it took me so long to find this.
