    Humble and honest, not to mention he’s very talented and wrote many good songs. Really good ones

    Mick knows that a smile and kind word can melt the years away. I laughed out loud when he said "I'm an icon? Maybe an eyesore....".

    What a wonderful interview with one of the most soulful keyboardists of our time! So great to see Mick -- no surprise that he's such a beloved musical collaborator of so many other great musicians. Looking great, Mick!

    What a really nice guy.I absolutely love the Style Council, they made some fantastic music which for me doe's not get the recognition that it deserves.I would have loved to have seen them live back in the 80's but was just that little bit too young.Always was and always will be a huge fan.

      +Robert Smith A little to young to see them live back then, How old was you then they were on the music scene from 83 to 89 so that was a long time-My first concert I went to was when I was 5 to see Five Star, A-ha, Simple Minds + Style Council, The first musical I saw was Starlight Express when I was 4-You seen any musicals?

    • @robertsmith6818
      @robertsmith6818 8 лет назад +1

      I was born in 79 and didn't really start getting into music until I was about 13 or 14. But I have been a Style Council fan for over 20 years. Never been to a musical no.

      Robert Smith You only started getting in to music when you was 13/14 rather late isn't it lol
      I'm sure you used to hear things on the radio or see music videos on TV and watch Top of the pops etc etc surly - You should see a musical at some point been many good ones over the years

      I suppose it is lol. I was more into football and computer games. My first memory of Weller was hearing Going Underground and then I discovered his work and completely fell in love with it.

      Robert Smith I was really in to computer games and football as well, But I also saw music videos on TV and watched top of the pop and saw music mags like Smash hits and fast forward in the shops lol

    most people forget how instrumental (excuse the pun) Talbot was in Paul Weller's musical evolution throughout the 80s..that beautiful Style Council soulful keyboard/synth sound came from Talbot ( yes Weller wrote most of the music and it was primarily his vision but he needed a musical partner who could provide help provide the sound)

    Mick's keyboard style was as much an influence on me as Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder - for a "white" guy he sure has a LOT of SOUL! I would LOVE to see him LIVE in concert some time. Is anyone aware of whether or not he even plays live gigs anymore?

    Nice. Yep, I am probably one of the few who really liked THE MERTON PARKAS. I THINK THEY GOT A BAD RAP. I heard many disparage them but I think they had the mod sound to the 'T'. Only one album was a misfortune. Top interview here. Mick is alright. Interviewer is shocking lookalike for Robert DiNiro.
