========================
this is absolutely the worst record i own. wow.
recorded from mint quality record. de-popped/de-clicked/spectral noise reduction done with izotope rx7, general cleanup in ozone 8 after that. came out pretty well considering it's a picture disc from 1980.
This album is beyond outsider music. This is a one of a kind thing it is.
Going into this, I first thought "oh, ok, it's just some video game music, pretty odd but not the worst thing ever", and then 1:14 happened and my mind was instantly changed
this is one of the funniest things i've ever heard and as it goes it keeps getting funnier
Hi Clue, was this video that inspired you to get the records and eventually make a video 4 years after first stumbling into this record?
absolutely awful
thank you for sharing
My favorite comment here
I found this picture disc recently at a local music shop and HAD to buy it because the artwork was so cool! When I played it I couldn't believe what I was hearing because it was not the music from the game LOL. It's a cute novelty record though and I'm happy I spent $3 on it
Good cheap find!
I can only imagine this album being made by some guy with extremely big front teeth, the biggest, squarest glasses you've ever seen, one of those late 70's/early 80's short-cut nerd haircuts, somehow plinking this out in a house with faux-wood-panel walls with cheap carpeting exhibiting unhealthy amounts of beige. In his socks and a striped polo shirt.
magic land of pacman

🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
In 1982, Synths were expensive! A decent studio was required to record this. The singers IN that studio.. admittedly aren't the best. But we liked this as kids!
Oh napoleon dynamite 😂
Almost bought this record at an estate sale, immediately regretted not getting it, then found it here and my jaw is on the floor. Holy shit
and I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. and he screamed, and brought forth the record that ended the earth
thank you so much for uploading this remastered version. I have shared it with so many discord groups that have music bots, it is truly a blessing
apologies to all people who have been subjected to this, but also, awesome
can confirm: was subjected to it last night. i want off pac mans wild ride-
I loved this album as a kid I used to fall asleep and wake up to it I know I drove my dad nuts!!!
this album outdoes itself so many times
this. so much this.
It's terrible but oddly endearing and wonderful in its own way, somehow
For 40 years, why did I vaguely remember this still? Until hearing it again... It's AMazing! (though the singing is annoying)
I find it hard to believe that this is the album that Worm Quartet based one of its tracks on for The Pac-Man EP.
Now that I think about it, the more I listen to this noise, the more it sounds like one of the animatronic acts from the old Chuck E. Cheese pizza restaurants.
Why does "I'm Number 1" remind me of the Gorillaz "Feels Good Inc." That's just not right..
Dude you're not wrong! I thought it sounded more like the chorus from Clint Eastwood though!
I was 7 years old and always played this at 45 rpm because I didn’t know any better. I still think it sounds better at 45 rpm. Especially “I’m Number 1”
i'd imagine most things could improve this tbh
I'm trying this at 1.25 and 1.50 speed. Which is closest to 45RPM here? Or should I go faster?
I played the hell out of this record as a 4 year old in the 80's.
This is truly something special.
I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO THIS
PAC-MAN IS IN MY HEAD
HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP
I had this record as a kid. I don’t remember it being this psychotic.
WE'RE MAKING OUT OF PAC LAND WITH THIS ONE 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
Could this be the very first video game related album to be released?
This and other Pac-Man related albums were some of the first (if not the first) video game related albums that I remember.
7:14: Ah yes, the voice not inspired by a certain anti-hero hedgehog who had several rounds of w$$$$$s in a 2005 game.
Used to have this and my older brother hated it when I played it...😂😂😂
I've just burnt 45 of my brain cells only in the intro
i finally found it here! 😍🤩 my record of this just died. 😭
good album 7/10 cant wait for the live performance
7:15
This is A Nightmare that I Cannot Escape. Turning Blue and If Its A Game are Bangers Tho.
I had this album as a kid, thanks for the trip down memory lane!
why is this so unironically good I love it bgsggsgsg
Hey four bfb
what obscure, dark corner of the Earth did you find this thing in?
Turning Blue sounds like an Electric Light Orchestra B-side lol
I always heard a little bit of "Holiday Road" era Lindsey Buckingham on that one as well
I do not disagree with any of the criticisms, but still, warm memories from my childhood. Thank you for uploading.
I was expecting at least cheesy quality in this album
Fear
Lol
Also hi Nick. 😄

Merry Christmas
This has way more 80's cheese than it rightfully should coming out in 1980. I've loved it since I was 7 years old. I come back for nostalgia and some of the actual "song" songs are nicely arranged and produced given the time period.
Oh my! I had this record as a kid. That synth intro is unmistakable!
What is that "regional accent" on the words Pac Man? "Payc Mayn"
good thing i watched planet clue for this, i didnt even know this even existed
4:09 “He’s number one”
i listened to this once. i dont remember when. i dont know if i listened to the whole thing. this is the best upload
I had this, and the He-Man record. My best friend and I listened to both of them pretty much on repeat, day after day, and thought they were the absolute pinnacle of entertainment
Damn! It’s been over 30 years since I last heard this.
Masterpiece Of Crap
this is incredibly awful
🤠 got the picture disc at a Toys r Us in the late 80s. Been living in Pac-Man's magic land ever since.
I had this album early 1980s was awesome.
this scares me
I still have this vinyl lol
This supposedly came out in 1980, but it features Ms. Pac-Man, whose game didn't come out until early 1982.
What's the deal with that?
it's impossible to say - it looks to lean on the whole "let's make pac-man into a storybook character" thing, so a family is a logical extension, especially with the precedent set by things like the berenstain bears and similarly themed things.
it's from 1982 going by the catalog number. the 1980 copyright on the cover seems to mainly relate to midway's ownership of the pac-man character. it's like how a lot of garfield products had a 1978 copyright regardless of when it was made.
@@ShermleyCollege good call!
Thanks, I hate it
Pac Man sounds like R3X from Star Tours on Prozac
You may not like it, but this is exactly what hell sounds like
Our teacher use to play this at school for us back in the day. Good memories
Thanks for opening comments up!
i never closed them; at some point youtube decided this was for kids (i guess not technically wrong) and closed them for me without notifying me lol
The last lyrical song sounds like a jack stauber song
Is this the record mentioned in the VGRB Pac-Man vs Kirby video? "Hit the top charts"?
no idea, that sounds more like Pac-Man Fever though
My dad got me this when I was a kid, I would play this over and over, and i loved it!
This vinyl rip sounds great. I would love to see a Kid Stuff Records documentary. I have some records from this era, Yars Revenge, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, A Pac Man Christmas, etc. Despite the thin, tossed-off nature of the records, they have an uncanny appeal. Most of the songs feel like a guy was let loose in a Radio Shack for a couple nights and had only what was displayed on the floor to demo the songs. They barely sound finished, with the most minimal production value imaginable. But there is still some traces of craft and you can tell they were probably trying with good intentions to make something respectable, even though I sense making a fast buck was also part of the equation. They also must have been smoking pounds of weed.
This is so gangsta
🕹
Lmaoo
15:07 Ok but why does this slap so hard?
I had this record as a 2 yr old kid. Awful
awful great!
I really want to know why you own this
it's my duty
@@SleepingCocoon thank you for taking us all on a journey to this magic land
I just bought a copy today lol
i had all of them on record
Thank you....so much.
This is really uninspired wow
