Manikay from Wangurri clan in Dhalinybuy, Northeast Arnhem Land. The recording captures senior songman maintaining song cycles alongside ceremonial manikay performances. The video accompanies manikay CD recordings done for Wangurri children, to learn there songs, to keep the culture and land strong.

@alternatehistories This video accompanies the Dhalinybuy CD - same manikay and songman and in the same time period, a music video if you like. However this video excerpt is a ceremony - we could not do a proper mic set up without getting in the way. The actual recording session was done when there were not all the families around.
