    It's crazy how adaptable the body is, I'm 20 now and I've never been able to touch my toes with straight legs before. I watched some of your videos and gave it a shot, did some hamstring exercises for about four days and now I can touch my toes! Honestly made me super happy and proud of myself, even though it was fairly minimal effort 😅

    • @lunaponta594
      @lunaponta594 Год назад +27

      that's crazy, because it's "minimal effort" physically, but you need to have determination to do it everyday, so i would call that effort too xD

    I must say. Ive been researching many types of fitness and strength training to figure out what i needed to do to achieve my goals. I realized i need a combo. Id like to be able to move and control my own body weight, like callethensics exercises do, callethensics also helps as it makes me feel my muscle groups are a bit more even instead of specifically isolating. I always worry if i isolate too much ill get disportionate. But i also realized that some of my muscles are capable of more weight, and the weakest link in the chain can hold back my exercises. Granted over constistent period that will even out, but i can also do isolated weight training on certain weaker muscles to make my callethensic moves more solid. And your flexibility videos have really shown me the importance of full range of motion.
    So im doing a combination of all 3. Stretching, weight training, callethensics, I thought itd be a lot harder to do 3 types. But ive found it much more possible than i thought. I used to think i had to basically kill myself in the gym to make progress, like if i wasnt crawling out of the gym i wouldnt make real progress. Now i understand that its about consistency, and not staying constant forever, but increasing the amount your staying consistent with.
    Thank you. Realistic fitness instructors like you have really made me rethink my perspective on fitness. And understand what truly is and isnt possible naturally.

    My spine is basically always curved behind my belly, which also causes my belly to poke forward. I can put myself into a certain position that causes my lower back and abdomen to be straight and it causes my stomach to be flat, but it not a practical position to hold. Is this permanent due to genetics (my dad’s spine does this as well) or would stretching like this fix that?

    Ive consistently done stretches for up to 8 months straight (yes, dayly) multiple times over the years, but I barely get any results. ESPECIALLY in my hamstrings. I'm overall relatively stretchy, always have been, so it's not like I'm in bad shape. I just can't seem to improve. :/
    I also get muscle craps all over my body almost constantly (few days ago was literally unable to stretch my arms cause the craps where that bad) and I'm pretty sure that might have something to do with stretches not working for me. I've tried numerous things to deal with this but nothing has really been working (only thing that has actually seemed to help was electro-therapy).
    If anyone reading this has any recommendations I'd be thankful to hear em. ;~;

    I think its probly tight hip flexors that keep my lower back up off the floor. In reference to this stretch, i can get my elbows within inches of the floor lol
