Very 2000-2001 WCW esque lack of originality mean lack of funds or no creativity. WrestleMania is the only event where they use their heads to come up with the coolest stage ever.

I don't know why but i really liked the virtual audience for last night's Summerslam. Since they couldn't get a live attendance, that was a cool idea. Much better than empty arena for Wrestlemania.
@@zakrowe1301 Not mention you really don’t need to have a stage to be just LED screens, you can some LED screens and still have regular props, but with a stage being only LED screens it might cause eye damage
2007 hands down is the best stage design, the creativity behind it was so good, I miss when wwe would have unique stage designs for ppvs instead of using the same stage as raw or smackdown except with different LED displays, the unique stage designs brought a different kind of atmosphere to the event and made it feel like something bigger than a regular show, I guess they do it to save money but still, they’ve been doing this for quite while now and it feels lazy
Ever considered covering backlash with this series? Out of every set ever tv or ppv those backlash hooks will always be my favorite and I would pay good money for a model maker to bring it to life as a playset
Man they need a new logo it's been over 10 years with the star logo. They should hire you lol I loved your first Summerslam logo you did in the WWE events logo video!
I think the current logo is cool, but I would get rid of the star, it makes sense when they were in LA. Have the words SUMMERSLAM in orange next to each other and the apron color will be a light blue. Maybe a throwback to the 90's version.
Have you done a WrestleMania or survivor series video like this one? If not, that would be good. These are good videos. 2007 and 2008 (to me at least) were really good sets.
Difference between 2014 and 2015, 14 had the Summerslam ramp and 15 didnt have it. 16 was the Raw set but this was the first time it was used. And 17-19 were a mix of the Raw and SD sets. This year's was the PPV set before the pandemic. My favourite is 2004.
2010-13 was very inconsitent for Summerslam in terms of design for some reason. Why they bother getting a new logo if there not gonna bother with the stage?
Does a PPV set make or break a PPV? No. But its part of an overall package that makes a PPV feel special and unique, plus it illustrates the company really putting thought and care into the presentation. That’s why PPV sets are important.
Good point. They really are important, especially for somebody like me. An environment and/or setting is very important to my experience and gives each show a unique identity. Not only that, but for nostalgic reasons as well, I can see the set or logo or ring from a specific event and get a rush of memories pouring back into my head. If every show looks the same they just blend and don’t carry an identity long term.
NikateeN I totally agree. When I see some of the unique designs of years gone by, it takes me back. I can tell you what matches happened, who won, I can even hear the PPV theme.
Totally! I think WWE has gotten too big, and they have lost touch with a lot of the little things that used make the product special. There are glimpses of hope here and there, but there are just too many people running things there. Wrestling obviously isn’t as big as it was in the late 90s, the ratings just aren’t there, but there are a lot of little things they could do to improve the product and unique themes and stages for all events is one of them.
NikateeN My way of looking at it is that the WWE should look at the attitude era and pick out elements that could work today. Not the sex, adult themes or violence because that won’t happen. But things like unique PPV themes, one PPV a month with a handful of bigger PPVs through the year (Rumble, Mania, KOTR, Summerslam, Survivor Series), one roster, one world champion. These things played a part in a successful product in the past and they can do again.
I agree. I miss the one roster/one world champion format. It made the two shows feel more continuous. Right now it’s quantity over quality when it used to be the opposite.
All in all, I enjoyed the green and purple summer slam logo cause it truly showed it is unique than the classic and star shaped logos. And all in all the arenas are just bland with LED lights and screens that lost the touches of a unique show, arena, and logo
