- Let's continue where we left off, as we compare the second half of the year 1998, looking at the many stages, graphics, rings, and other aspects that make up the PPV events by WWF and WCW.

I get why you don't upload as much these days, family and work and such, but I genuinely am so happy when I get a notification that you put out a new video. I'm commenting late on this one because I wanted to save it to relax before bed after work. Always appreciate seeing a new vid from you in my feed, Nick. Thanks Jon! As always, I appreciate the support. I’ve got some more frequent uploads coming soon in the coming months. These last two took way too much time to edit, it was ridiculous. I’m going back to some game stuff for a while to get back on track.
I always love these because it's a trip down memory lane and also info to events I never got to see.

"Bash at the Beach" 98' is my 2nd favorite arena... right behind "Halloween Havoc"!
Those are great designs. I wish current promotions put forth the effort that WCW did to make these events feel unique and different from one another.
@@NikateeN Ugh... I wish I could even stand to watch the current product. I haven't seen a "new" arena design (save for pictures and stuff) since WM XX... and that one was drab, to say the least.
But, they nailed 'Takers return entrance, so there's that.
AEW is ok... but they don't do shit with their arena designs either!
Apparently, AEW is developing a game that "brings back that nostalgic AKI feel"...
We shall see.
Either way, I would love to see you cover it when it's released!
Fully Loaded's first PPV in Fresno, California. Man, the Selland Arena is such a good venue. I went there for a show.
I really miss the creative stage designs back then. Hopefully they'll do it again 😌
I think it’s a forgotten piece of the show these days. It’s much cheaper for these promotions to pay a one time fee on large screens that they can change constantly rather than have these sets built that they use one time. It is a shame though.

Man, I’d do anything to get back creative stages as they truly helped make shows way more interesting. Halloween Havoc ‘98, Bash at the Beach ‘98, SummerSlam ‘98, and Survivor Series ‘98 were definitely some of my favorites during this time.😁
*Edit* - 11:55 While you are true about the world being unnecessarily sensitive, WWE actually did use a tank logo in recent years with NXT Takeover: Wargames 2020 that had the Undisputed Era facing off against Team Pat Mcafee. It looked awesome, and the event was cool as well. I recommend it.👍😉

@@NikateeN welcome back bro on RUclips I haven't been on your channel in ages either I stopped watching wrestling long time ago but when you first started it was the first of it's kind I didn't really see no one do the stage set ups maybe you can do tna and aew and roh or you can do the set ups again separate each yr with the matches that took place idk

WCW definitely takes the cake in this instance, but if all the WWF stages were Survivor Series quality, we'd have more of a battle on our hands.
Man how I miss these unique stage designs. I mean, some of the weekly wrestling out there today even have the same stage designs for their PPV's...

WCWs Bash at the Beach and Halloween Havoc were my 2 favorite PPV arena setups. I miss the unique themes.

It wasn't until Smackdown debuted the following summer that WWF's production values suddenly went way up and their stage sets suddenly got way bigger and grander. That UPN deal must've been extremely lucrative (along with going public two months after that)

hopefully we get a 1999 version of this. and may i add a suggestion? maybe just do each event together instead of the back and forth switching? like all of Wrestlemania and then all of the WcW event. am i making sense? love the work man, truly do.

Hey yo Nikateen good to see another video from you, I do have a question for you though. I was wondering if you are going to do a re-review of WWE games such as WWE 13, WWE 2k14 as well as a re-review of WCW Backstage assault and WCW Thunder? Okay just kidding about the last two lol but um in all seriousness though I would definitely like to see a re-review of WWE 13 and WWE 2k14 to see if anything has changed on your opinion of those two games. Even a re-review of WWE 2k15, okay again just kidding on 2k15 but a re-review of 2k16 would be cool as well or even a re-review of SVR 06. Either way in the end, I enjoy watching all of your wrestling game reviews because they are amazing to watch
