I think it would be great if the graphic novel got adapted into an animated show, but Scott Pilgrim Takes Off being more of an "original" approach/sequel to Scott Pilgrim, I don't think it's necessary or even reasonable for a second season to exist.
Honestly the musical section could've had SO MANY GOOD SONGS. Like the "We're the evil exes" song would've been SO musical cheese it's good. Plus what we heard like "Skater (Exes), Actor (Evil), Vegan (Exes), Rockstar (Evil), Mogul (Exes), Titan (Evil), Lover (Exes), Fighter (We are the evil exes!)

They've insisted on using Emily Haines' vocals in the movie, but in the end agreed to compromise of having the original on the soundtrack with Brie's in the movie cut. The full Brie Larson version was released on the 10th anniversary re-issue. Fun fact, Envy's performance in the anime has Emily's vocals.

The moment when I heard "Black Sheep" playing, and the crowd singing along to it, at the beginning of the episode, a big "Oh, my God" sent my nostalgic 2010 memories soaring.

Audience participation is great, depending on the band and song. It's only fun when it's a song that everyone knows the whole chorus to and can join in on, like Mr. Brightside. Some bands will hold the mic out during a few verses or even a bridge instead of the chorus and who knows that shit?

Just finished the show and I felt it was perfect for me like if you seen the movie good like it feel like good but not if it your first time into Scott pilgrim
I know people are saying that she already sang the song but in the movie she only sang one verse though she recorded 2 verses plus Brie hated singing it in the first place and doesn't like to be shown as a doppy hot girl. But still seeing the full version is what I hoped we would get just a big disappointment. Also Edgar Wright talked when the live-action movie came out about all the things he couldn't do in the movie that were from the graphic novel due to the budget. Not seeing those things makes me a little sad.
"You crack the whip, shapeshift and trick the past again" is such an intense line. We've all known that one person. That one just, piece of shit, who gets away with everything, nothing is ever their fault, they never get caught or seen for what they are. It really does feel like they just rewrite history to suit their own needs. The lonely, righteous indignation of being the only one who sees the truth. It's a shame they cut a lot of Scott's douchebaggery out of the movie and made Envy more of a straight antagonist. This line would have hit a lot harder if she was a bigger part of forcing him to face himself.
i felt like the show could have done so much more. it was just kinda mid, like it wasnt bad, but it wasnt really all that interesting. I would prefer to just watch the movie
