Another feature, or it's actually a bonus, of the paid version is you also can get the stand alone Black Magic Fusion with the Studio code - this is superior and much faster than the Fusion in DaVinci Resolve.
Great video. The free version is great for the casual user, but if you can afford multiple rtx 4090 cards or 8 to 32k cameras, then the pro is a minor cost add, and if you edit a lot, then you should invest in yourself to make life easier. I think it's really down to the use case.
Thanks for the video! Im about to embark on my video production journey and am investing in gear right now.. i have the sony a6000 camera but want to swop it in for the zve-10 .. do you know anything about those cameras? and do you thin the switch is necessary? (i like the 4k-ness of the zv-e10 that the a6000 doesnt have )
First of all, congratulations on starting your video production journey! I am not familiar with those cameras. I personally would prefer a camera with 4k resolution, but I would prioritise using what you have when starting out. I hope this helps!
Those sideways head shots I know are a fad right now. It's a stupid fad and is distracting. I would suggest you reconsider that in future editing. I will not watch a second video with that in it personally.
@@McFilmin I understand the concept... it is flawed. Unfortunately you further aggravated the situation by using a side profile. People don't like looking at anything other than someone's face when that person is talking with them. "Artistic use of other angles" is an idiotic trend. Take a look at the average shot in a movie and look at the type of transitions they use. They are almost all jump cuts and there are thousands of them in a single movie. No one notices that if it's done properly. That is editing.
The side profile was to advertise my upcoming interview series, as it was playing on my davinci resolve timeline in the background. I see plenty of movies with the side angle. It was pretty artistic to me. What's the problem mate?
@@McFilmin No problem. I was simply giving you an alternative perspective that I happen to know I'm not alone in based on seeing comments from other people in other similar situations. I didn't mean to tell you you should change, you do you. I simply was letting you know for whatever benefit it may or may not give you that it is enough of an issue for me that I won't be back even if I might find your content otherwise useful. For me, and some others evidently, it' is distracting enough that we are unable to draw benefit from whatever potential good information you are trying to convey. In the end, do what works for you and don't feel bad about it. best wishes.

That's actually really cool, I didn't know that one!
I appreciate the content, but switching between front and side shot is a bit annoying after a couple of minutes
I will keep that in mind

Thank you! You make a great point 👌
Best decision I made during Covid. 😊
Yes 🙏
I have a T2 Mac and the free version of resolve seems to support the H264/5 hardware accelerators in the T2.
What about multi monitor (more than 2) support?
no really supported.... but you spin off windows

I wanted to avoid jump cuts. It's a standard technique with interview filming to have a second angle.

does davinci resolve free and studio have AI tools?
Studio has Davinci Neural Engine AI tools
all i can hear is the macarena in the background haha
I can only hear the chicken dance
Im having trouble importing MOV and MP4, could it be because I have the free version?
That shouldn't be a problem. What trouble do you have? Do they not import at all?
If you can’t afford 300 bucks… Then get another profession.
Not everyone can afford it at the beginning of starting this profession.
