The Best Gran Turismo 4 Settings Guide for PCSX2 1.7 & 2.0

- In this video, I am going to show you the best settings for Gran Turismo 4 on the PCSX2 emulator. Using the right emulation settings can make a huge difference when playing Gran Turismo 4 on PC. I'm going to help you reach the best performance possible on your computer when playing the game. Let me know in the comments if I'm missing something and then I'll edit something if I can or let me know if you need any help.

Note: In my cheats file, I have the hook loader and clamp nan to flt_max cheats which will make the game run on clamping mode to full when the clamping mode is on normal on my PCSX2 settings. If you have this cheat, then you don't have to change the clamping mode everytime if you want to do the license tests.

thanks friend! My setup is good enough for run the emulator, but im experiencing stutterings and frame time oscilation. How can I fix it?
Try downloading Rivatuner and cap the framerate to 60 so the frametime will be smoother.

Two things. I play the NTSC version. I'm on nightly v. 1.7.5261.
- How do I fix the split timer? It only shows the car icon, but never the time.
- I noticed, especially during replays, that sometimes, the image of my car tends to pop out near the roof, as if it's two images trying to merge into one. Any ideas?
To fix the split timer, you have to change the clamping mode to full. Also if you have the hook loader and clamp nan cheats in your cheats file, that’ll also fix the clamping mode. I listed that in the description.
I also have that issue too. In the replays, the car also merges and I don’t know a fix for that.
I'm pretty sure the clamping mode issue has been already fixed on current PCSX2 releases as an autofix, so you no longer need to tinker with the settings.
That being said, it's still absolutely necessary for Tourist Trophy to work.
The clamping mode hasn't been fixed yet.

@@granixo I mean it hasn’t been fixed with the clamping mode settings set to full on the PCSX2 settings, but it is fixed with the hook loader and clamp nan cheats in the cheats file.
